20:54 A friend of mine that’s a Ford fan told me that Ford F250 Super Duty has the Tremor package which is just the same as the At4 package in the GMC. The Raptor package is more for the high performance off roading.
The Tremor and AT4 are kind of more inline with Dodge/Ram's Power Wagon models. The Raptor was in a league all of it's own until the Ram TRX. GM makes a ZR2 Silverado that's like a half assed Raptor but it's no where near as capable.
Everyone complaining about the size of this are effectively complaining about all full sized trucks. The difference in size between a 1500 and a 3500 is negligible. Sure, a 3500 is structureally stronger than a 1500, but most manufacturers share a lot of parts across models.

Do you know that in the rest of the world you need a commercial driving license (C1) to drive this? Only in America, a 16 year old who passed his driving test yesterday can drive a GMC Sierra Denali 3500HD
@@bwofficial1776 5 ton army truck is not a personal vehicle. Now don't get me wrong, I rode in various Ford Super Duty models and the ride quality is freaking amazing, I prefer even a base model F350 to any fancy Merc/BMW, but still - if classifying them as commercial trucks prevents them from clogging up the narrow roads, I'm all pro that.
The ride quality is a by product of being able to tow an excessive amount of weight. To be able to handle the 20-30k lbs, you have to have stiff suspension
Yeah, I was honestly surprised to hear Doug say he couldn't figure out why HD trucks have poor ride quality. It's pretty simply math that you have to have a stiffly sprung suspension to handle the kind of payload and towing these things are rated for, also bigger tires don't always mean a softer ride, most of the A/T tires are 10ply or better with very stiff side walls to resist against trail damage which also contributes to a poorer ride quality.
When you mention that the HD version of trucks tend to be on the bumpier side, Doug, it's because the leaf spring suspension packs are extra beefy for the added towing/hauling capability. Without any weight in the back, it behaves like very stiff suspension. It slacks up with weight on it.
If you don’t drive a truck this looks absurd. But when you pull up to a 1500 or even 2500 you get immediate respect. It’s like a camero vs a Corvette. This is the Corvette of trucks. Few can afford them making them rare and every truck owner wants one. Crazy money for a crazy truck.
@@SaintCyrX my area is full of lifted gigantic trucks and most of them get off on harassing everyone else on the road. changing lanes right into you, forcing you to steer off the road. passing UPS trucks by driving into oncoming traffic without a care, forcing you to steer off the road. modified exhausts to be 20x louder and "roll coal" in your face. improperly modified HID headlights to blind everyone around them. pretty sure the cops watch this stuff happen and cheer.
And here we go, we’re crossing into territory where a 2500 class regularly creeps into six figures. In 5 years, the 1500s will be up near the $100k point, and RAM is already close with the $90K 1500 Tungsten. Just madness. I’m taking my $100K and buying a Porsche at that point.
Ok so I priced out at retail these parts (not wholesale) 1) front bumper with winch - $1211 2) rear bumper - $560 3) 20s with 35s - $1,920 Soooo, I can save 5,700 just by going to just about any aftermarket shop ? Done.
Three annoyances: 1. No cigarette lighter meaning radar detectors need a special adaptor 2. Gear shifter blocks the map on the console display 3. If you dont want to use the non-camera rear view mirror, if you're tall, it doesnt work. The mirror will only adjust to a level where you can only see the back seat or your chin Other than that, Doug hit most of the good stuff
When the average price of a vehicle is over $50,000, there is a good chance that there are vehicles costing well over $100,000. Only in this decade have we seen a lot of vehicles with six figure price tag. No wonder why no one can afford any brand new vehicle.
Seeing that massive vertical front bumper and grill, the "king of the road" height with the lift kit, and the sheer size --- all I see in this truck is a battering ram that WILL kill people compared to any other car in a given accident. 110 children are injured or run over in driveways every week. That's 5700+ a year, over 60% of which are caused by large vehicles. This was not an issue two decades ago, and it is mind boggling to me that this is not a point of condemnation, let alone a point of note in this video.
Funny how you think you should decide the subject matter of this channel. Also funny how you think you understand pedestrian deaths and think that, suddenly, pickup trucks have magically become far more deadly to pedestrians, without realizing that large vehicles have been the norm for many decades.

I love GM's Multi-Flex/Multi-Pro tailgate. The only issue with this tailgate, granted that because of the steel bumper there are not side steps, is that there is a weight restriction up to approx. 375 pounds (170 kg). Therefore if someone is heavy, the multi-flex tailgate won't be ideal.
Thanks for filming this big boy outside

At 7:00, glad to see your 100k super truck has the same window switches as my 30k used base model Acadia. And yes, they feel cheap and plastic like.
That chalky button plastic that GM uses in everything from a rental Malibu to a loaded Escalade annoys me so much. It's so cheap.
I'm not sure if this one has it too, but the black film GM vehicles have on buttons and switches tends to peel off with normal use.

Doug is the type of guy who says "hugest" instead of "biggest".
Doug: Look honey I did a hugest dump come take a look
Yeah, he was making up words here
That is a NICE, very desirable truck. I’d have absolutely no excuse to have one but I want one. I remember when the HD trucks maxed out in the high 70’s/low 80’s tho. Car prices are getting out of hand and it’ll happened in just the past 5-7 years. It’s crazy.
Do you know that in the rest of the world you need a commercial driving license (C1) to drive this?
Only in America, a 16 year old who passed his driving test yesterday can drive a GMC Sierra Denali 3500HD
And only have experience practicing in his brother's clapped out '98 Miata.
We prefer freedom here. We don't make people go to trucker school just to drive their personal vehicle.
This is not a personal vehicle. It is 2 wheels away from being a lorry.
@@AdamIsUrqed more like his mom's RAV4. At least the Miata is probably manual
I'm British (I think that was the accent) and yes, the Americans have gone crazy with their trucks.
And I love it, and I want one.
That's the worst reason to buy something.

Nope! And you can feel free to stay in California

When the average price of a vehicle is over $50,000, there is a good chance that there are vehicles costing well over $100,000. Only in this decade have we seen a lot of vehicles with six figure price tag. No wonder why no one can afford any brand new vehicle.

It's been a while since Doug reviewd a HOUSE
Been WAITING for this video
