TIFFANY SETTING ENGAGEMENT RING | Unboxing

  • Today's video is quite possibly the most expensive unboxing I've done to date, and I am beyond excited to share this purchase with you. Surprisingly I hadn't come across other videos reviewing the ever-so-iconic Tiffany Setting Solitaire Diamond Engagement Ring. There are numerous videos about "Tiffany Style" engagement rings but so few about the actual Tiffany Ring. Throughout this video I will demonstrate how the diamond appears under various lighting sources, such as under fluorescent lights of a cafe, LED lights, natural sunlight, and indoors at T&Co itself.
    Here we have today a 1.55 Carat Tiffany Solitaire ring in the iconic "Tiffany Setting" with a platinum band. As you may know, the Tiffany Setting signature is comprised of an elevated diamond secured by 6 equidistant prongs, allowing the optimal amount of light to shine through. Platinum is a highly popular engagement ring setting, as it is 950 parts per 1000 of pure platinum whereas other alternatives such as gold have 750 parts per 1000 of pure gold (speaking for 18k gold).
    As many may know, is is not solely about the Carat weight (one of the 4 C's, the others being Clarity, Cut, and Color) as much as it is the cut. Tiffany prides themselves in perfecting the optimal cut to maximize the diamond at hand.
    For those interested in purchasing a Tiffany ring, all T&Co rings are set to a standard size 6 in store and your first resizing is complimentary. I had to resize mine down to a 5.25 and if you are in LA like myself, it will take up to 5 business days to ship it to their Manhattan location to get resized (the only location where they resize their rings in the US). Of course, all tiffany purchases come with a Lifetime Warranty protecting against those circumstances if your diamond should fall out (not protected against a lost diamond). They recommend visiting a Tiffany location every 6 months to get your ring cleaned, which of course is complimentary as well.
    This ring was purchased at the Tiffany & Co on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. We were helped by the lovely sales associate, Iris Huang who was very helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend visiting that store location if you are in the area or in-market for any of their jewelry pieces; their service and selection undoubtedly one of the best. Of course, expect some beyond-generously sized diamonds/sapphires in their inventory to suit the clientele of BH.
    I highly recommend utilizing a safe (whether it be at your home or at a bank) for this purchase and perhaps avoiding the classic "hiding your ring in an old coat pocket" trick. In unfortunate cases I've read how people have accidentally donated their said clothing article and an expensive piece of jewelry has shown up at Goodwill or Salvation Army, etc. I always tell myself it is better to be safe than sorry, and as in this situation, to error on the side of caution.
    *UPDATE: As requested, the band width of this ring is 2.5mm

    Thanks for making a haul out of your engagement ring, you sounded embarrassed to make it, don’t be, we appreciate it. I have followed a guru for a long time, she got married and I always wanted a haul like this from her, to see her engagement ring, she never has done it. So I appreciate your time

    in the US the sizes of the ring stones are incredible, in Mexico we have rings of between 25 points to 75 points for very large no more ... amazing!

    My fiancé recently proposed to me without a ring. It was not planned, but he didn’t want to wait any more 😍
    We stopped by Tiffany’s a few days later, and he got me a similar ring (1.52/G/VS1 resized to 4.5) I absolutely love it! I’m very lucky to have him in my life ❤️

    My co-worker has a 1.50 ct round Tiffany & Co., classic setting, F color and VVS1, triple ex., set in platinum - her's cost a LOT of money. She wears hers everyday at work and at home, only takes it off to clean and take a shower and then puts it back on again even while changing diapers lol.

    It 's gorgeous!!!!! I just knew that my fiancé to be got me a I color, vs 1, 1.1 ct setting. I didn't receive it yet so I was searching crazily to see other people's I color stones since I was worried it would be a little bit warm. Now I felt great after seeing yours! Thank you for sharing your certificate information and detailed video and pictures under various lighting. My bf and I are looking at an 0.9 Harmony ring from Tiffany's in Colour I and VS1 clarity so i wanted to know about what it looks like under different lightings and you have definitely demonstrated that for me! I was debating whether I should go down in carat size to get a better colour and clarity but you have proven to me that because of Tiffany diamonds' presence, I will be happy with the I and VS1.

    Hello, this video was helpful thanks! And congrats to you and your partner.
    My question to you is, how is the signature raised band working out for you? I'm a size 4 with very skinny fingers. I have tried a few of the Tiffany's setting style rings which add you know have a very pointy edge, but they all seem to hurt my other fingers. I'm wondering if that's just me.
    Any thoughts??

  • @user-ui2hw5os3d
    @user-ui2hw5os3d 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I personally wouldn't buy a Tiffany and Co ring as i feel they are way overpriced for the colour grade, clarity etc. You really do pay for the name. I would spend the money on a higher diamond grade. I am glad though you are enjoying you're new ring. I really want an intense yellow diamond ring but they are super expensive even without the branding.

    how to you pick out the ring usually? Did you go with you husband together? or did he go himself? I can not imagine spending so much money on a ring without being 100 % sure that she loves it.

    • @hypnoticpoisons
      @hypnoticpoisons 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Christina Marie but how do you ask the other to go together without making it awkward. So the man should be the one to suggest to go with him to pick out a ring right? As a girl you cannot make that suggestion even if you think its a better decision right?

    • @ChristinaMarie17
      @ChristinaMarie17  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm traditional in a way that yes, I think the man should suggest the idea of going ring shopping together because ultimately he is the one that will propose. Of course, not everyone is the same way and it's all up to preference. :)

    Congratulations! Your diamond ring is beautiful. I came from India and we usually wear 22k which is 91.6 percent pure gold. In China, jewelers use 99.99 percent pure gold to make beautiful pieces. So your comment about platinum being the metal with the highest grade available to consumers is incorrect.

    Diamond is too deeply cut and looks smaller than it should be. To be honest, Tiffany Diamonds aren't the best cut, and cut is king. People only pay outrageous prices for the name.

      @jfkim78 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hands down, BGD are the best cut in the world! www.briangavindiamonds.com/

      @watchingyou4058 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed! Tiffany diamonds 💍 look great and yes good quality BUT I wouldn’t say they have the BEST cut... Tiffany is well known so of course they will hike their prices up. Do your homework and research about “hearts and arrows” and then compare... plenty of videos here.
      Cheers 🥂.

    Hmmm so they don't resize on the spot? I wonder how women feel about going bare for 5 days. Does anyone know if they still charge to resize your ring over the years? I thought that was a given due to the natural changes women go through. I really love Tiffanys Diamonds but this is what makes me hesitate... not that I could afford em. It really is a beautiful ring though! So many mixed emotions loll

    hello what carat of Diamond ? thanks

  • @jojo2491
    @jojo2491 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Its a beauty, but l would say lv tried on a TD and opted for a diamond that was bigger and had more fire and custom made.. and guess what half the price with a lifetime protection if l lost the diamond. 1.50 VVS2 I color this ring with over 75 small diamonds set in 14c white gold and the centre with the 1.5 cost 24 thousand. At Tiffanys you won't get this. You pay for the name. Its a brand. But l hope if you got this ring its because someone got down on one knee and popped the question.
