let me save everyone 14 minutes. it's not risky if you keep it stock or go with OTS map as they're super conservative. if you go custom e85 tune without a crankhub it'll 100% spin eventually. speaking from experience I've spun 2 s55 hubs 😬
had m4 , it was a great car, small issues here and there, tons of torque, with a tune and downpipe anyone will be happy with power outcome........ never did crank hub, sold it with 63k miles...stock m4 looks meh! but one's you add spacers, lowering springs at least, and front, lip, side skirts and rear diffuser. it changes the look like crazy, mine was Black. loved the rear seat room. traction was always an issue, first and second gear :) now I own R35 GT-R, different beast.
For the crank hub, the two main questions are power/transmission. It seems like the DCT cars get that problem more often. Some would say it’s from the quick downshifts from 7-3 or 6-2, for example.
@@tauzins for sure. Part of the fun is downshifting yourself. I haven’t looked into the crack hub problem in a while so I’m unsure if there are any new theories out there
Nice vid. Completely agree with him on the F80 vs G80 looks and styling. I’ve had my F80 for 7 years and never getting a G80. I have an X3M for the S58.
the build is crazy. I agree since i had an aplina white f82 and upgraded with lci headlights and added lips, ducktail n diffuser too. i did my crankhub cus i liked driving it, but i switched over to a e53 amg cus the 6 speed, the first gear doesn't put the power down and the transition from 1-2 is also weird as he had mentioned, but i didnt know about the clutch delay valve prior. the m4 definitely received lots more compliments and looks as well as the raspy exhaust note, which i do miss but overall still a great car. just not for me
Interesting how when the E90 was one generation behind, that styling was 'timeless'. Now the F8x is being referred to as timeless. Goes to show that we eventually get used to what we see. Who knows, maybe someone a decade from now will be calling the buck tooth G series 'timeless' too.
The e92 is timeless not the e90. The f8x is just a perfect looking sport car that drives like one too. It earned the right to be referred to as timeless
I completely agree with him. The F8X has a beautiful and timeless look unlike the G8X which is a hideous abomination of revolting ugliness. Only people who don't understand car aesthetics would choose the G8X platform.
@@PrecisionMotorwerks DCT...I never use the kickdown feature. I learned how to drive in a manual, so for me, downshifting on each gear is the proper way to drive the DCT.
People say the rawness left with the e46? I’ve never heard anybody say that. I’ve heard the opposite in fact. E46 m3 was an NA, high revving v6 that was lightweight and super analogue. Thats kind of the definition of raw
That’s really interesting about going from 1st to 2nd. I was recently having issues with going to 3rd from 2nd under heavy throttle. Idk I just need more time getting use to the manual in this car or what. But I felt like novice and manuals are the only cars I’ve ever owned.
i have had my manual F82 for little under a year now, and i just found out what a clutch delay valve was. I always feel like i cant drive manual cuz of the 1-2, is it really worth it to take it off? (this is my first sports car/manual car)
Single turbo with capture plate. Been running strong 💪🏾. I raced every Sunday btw. My boy pure stage 2 without a capture plate. His car running good asf too.
That’s all relative, depends on a lot of different conditions. Such as the maintenance record from the previous owner, the condition of the car currently, any accidents, there’s so much to go over before you make any decision on any car
No offense but this guy thinks like a bot. He just bought whatever he saw in YT sponsored videos. EL sounds like trash to anyone who’s heard both in person

False, I know a guy who was tuned but full bolt-ons and spun the crankhub in 2nd gear. This took place in Chicago too. 2018 F82 M4
Thanks for this insight bro, planned on keeping mine OTS until I do cranks so It's great to know there's a general limit to respect. safe driving!
Bro you didn’t learn from the first lol
That’s the cleanest F series M4 I’ve ever seen! All the mods are right and classy! Bad Ass ride
Always a pleasure being on the vlog! Great vid!
Looks like the channel might see you again on a future Vlog soon! Haha
What steering wheel is that? It looks pretty sweet, thanks in advance 🙏🏻

Right those quick downshifts introduce a ton of torque instantly so normally rule of thumb is avoiding that.

Great video like always. Been awhile bro! Almost at 60k manual, stage2 full bolt ons for 4 years now. Stock ch👍🏾👍🏾
That's awesome! Keeping those miles low. Always appreciate you checking out the videos!

I completely agree with you 💯 👍🏻
That’s the combo I have as well. Have my F80 for 8 years.
Great vid with Wang 💯 glad you could get a few vids out of this trip despite the 🩹 on the front lip 😅💪🏽
Yeah I think I was able to squeeze out 3 videos lol. It was fun filming with all yall 🤘🏻
i bought mine in 2022 at 40k miles its at 75k miles now and stage 2 full bolt-on, no issues whatsoever!
that's the sexiest F82 I've seen. The B-rolls are insane!
🤝🏻🤘🏻
Great video! F82 is def still has the rawness and aggression 🔥
Much appreciated! It was good to get a perspective from a f-82 M4 owner
That color is gorgeous

Agreed. G8x needs so much work to look good.
my pocket feels it lol
Lies, they look good stock
That color looks really nice. Combined with carbon and dark bronze parts would be perfect.
I'm Stage 2, 112k miles and I've been on the stock crankhub for 20,000 miles
Awesome to hear. It's a reliable platform for sure.

My e90 m3 currently has leaking valve covers and coolant expansion tank 😅 along with thermostat

heavy throttle from 3rd to 2nd?
you need to do the delay valve delete
Individual paint is still factory paint. It comes from the factory doesn’t it? Yes.

Damnnn that's what's up! 🤘🏻
my car had 86K miles and made 600whp for 2 years before I pinned my crankhub.
I am not changing my crank hub…
Should I buy one with 130k miles

Good video sir, By any chance invite you to do a product review for our portable air pump, . We just emailed for an inquiry.
DCT TRANS ALSO
A Tanzanite blue G80 looks way better than any F8x but can't say the same for all color choices in G8x lineup.
Surprisingly you don't see a lot of Tanzanite g80s out there. It's definitely an underrated color
