Now this a tutorial so well explained and in detail you can see you have put heart to it! Thanks for taking the time , we definitely want to see more tutorials !
@@stevenakkersdijk You inspired me to force the Backroll handplant by your "flight through Portugal" video. It's in my pocket now :) I'm not into unhooked yet, so perhaps this would be good to get some pro tips...
@@Peetze sweeeet! I love that trick! This is for sure a super fun trick to try. Steering is similar to the backroll handplant except that you'd steer your kite back during this trick.
Wow, very nice, interesting and useful videos. Please keep going. Could you, in some next videos, give some tips about jumping. Not just the simple jump, but for boosting : how to build tension in the lines, the timing, do you go a little bit downwind or not, when to exactly pop, does the kite go beyond 12 o clock.... all those small but very important detail that make improve your technique.
Happy you like them so much. The backroll handplant is on the list and will probably release somewhere this month. 👍 will also look in to filming some boardoffs
Nice video Steven, I finally learned how to pronounce your name! One thing I would change for future videos would be to do the mini kite position graphic such that it matches the direction of the video instead of trying to stay true to a physical clock.
Hey Angus. Thanks a lot for your reply. I actually had it that way in the first draw up from the episode, but people thought it was a bit weird. I'll start experimenting a little with it and see what people will say about it. And I guess videos like this will help with the name pronunciation! Which is perfect.
Nice! The hand drag where you do a kiteloop in the end is quite different from this one. A good start would be to do the dark slide. And I'll also add boardsoffs to the list
steven this is unacceptable, how come you didnt try it switching the front hand to the backside of the bar and loop it!!! YOU ALWAYS LOOP IT!!! kind of like the darkslide. :D
Haha. Somehow have to make these tricks a little more accessible, so I decided to leave the kiteloop with double backroll (2nd backroll inverted obviously) out of it. If I would teach you that one I needed to start landing some new tricks soon, otherwise you would be hunting for my contract with CORE ;-)
Thank you so much for all teh great tutorials! I would love to see your explanation about the hand drag transition backroll 😊
yesss, sick idea with that screenshot thing !!!
Thanks man! Also thought it was quite handy ;-)
Super duidelijk, mooie beelden en geen overbodige info. TOP!
Kijk dat is mooi om te horen. Ga zorgen dat ik deze kwaliteit blijf houden :-)

Thanks so much man! This is awesome to hear and gives me a lot fo motivation to get out there and shoot some more!
Great Video. Trank you Steven. Please more of These cool Tricks.
I will for sure! Big mix of twintip, foil and strapless coming up
Great video. Really clear explanation and demo of the trick....thank you!
Thanks for your positive feedback!
Love the screenshot to take to the beach, so useful, really making these tutorials more practical, thanks!
Thanks man, that's awesome to hear.
Enjoy your sessions!
Thanks Steven, great work. Really enjoyed it !
Thank you for watching! Happy you enjoyed and please let me know if you have any special requests on tricks 🚀

Sounds like a good plan! Will go and work on it for sure
Awesome! Please more of these! Would love to learn the backroll handdrag with a loop or some Board off tricks!

A great new trick for me to try.
I'm a ninja at the faceplant but this gives me something to aim for :)
The faceplant is an all known in between step to succes ;-) Keep it going!
Great video, looking forward to the next one, video on how to get the most out of kickers when wanting to boost high, timing edging etc
Nice! I'll see if I have enough footage for that
Steven Akkersdijk what’s different from boosting high on flat water compared to when using kickers
@@vikingh3008 not that much. Main difference is that your timing should be on point. As you now have to line it up with the wave
Great video. Thanks for making it simple.
I would love to learn a simplified front roll.
Keep up the good work!
Sweet. I'll put in on the list!
Hey Steven, thanks for the Video! I will try it the next time on the water
My pleasure man! For sure a super fun move to try out!
Great and thanks for the how to. Will try this next weekend, shared it on our website!
Thanks a lot for sharing!
Amazing video man! You are a great rider and this is really well explained. Thanks for helping me :)
It's my pleasure! Thanks so much for following the videos 🤗
Love it! Nice animation of the kite angle in the corner👌Keep the creative tricks coming. I will try the blind one next session!
Thanks for your reply! Super happy that everyone is taking this tutorial in so well.
Enjoy the flight and I'm sure you'll get it quick!
Great! Would love to see how to do big jumps with rotations (your signature move)
Oh yeah! Would love to post one about that one. I'll see if I can get the right shots for it.

Nice Video! I love to do a kite loop after the handdrag! Can you do a video on boardoffs?

What’s easiest to learn first, hand drag or dark slide ?
I would say that the darkslide is porbably a bit easier as you steer the kite in one continuous movement
Hey do you need a long safety leash to do this blind landing?
Not needed at all, as long as you stay hooked in which I am on this trick.
