Excellent content and instruction as always. Even in your "beginner" tricks, I learn little, but important things. Your instruction is the best on TH-cam, don't change a thing.
I have to say you are the best. you know what are you talking about. my 2nd year kiting and in your videos you have answerd so many questions that I had. Great job. thank you so much.
Super high quality content : timing, voice, explainations, advices, shots, everything is perfect and makes the video super useful! I'll try that next week in Dakhla! Thanks!
😂😂😂 perfect way to start an "Easy tricks for beginners video" right? 🙈 I was soo focussed on getting high quality tricks in on our trip that I totally forgot to shoot some smooth easy riding
Really digging into a lot of your lessons, great info in every video! I’m starting to apply some techniques on the water. Good luck with KOTA! Bring home the crown!
Great to hear that you're enjoying the content! KOTA was great, but I'm not competing any more. This time I was there to film the CORE guys and show support for them. Giel is still in, so I hope he takes the crown!
@@stevenakkersdijk personally I think Giel won that heat, he landed all his tricks, they were extremely technical and well executed, bulando got more height but the tricks were not as impressive imho.
What a great tutorial! I was wondering what to do next? There’s many videos out there taking kitesurfers from their first jumps into the back - and front Rolls.. what would be the next thing to go for after learning the variations of these tricks? Thanks again for all the wonderful content!
@@stevenakkersdijk sounds great! Hey, and you gave me some advice for kiteloop board off a couple years ago and I finally landed it yesterday. So stoked🥳
best quality as always. sero overthinking and enough information to go and send it 🤙. Hopefully you have some advanced videos to come (i know they took much more effort otherside).
Thanks for watching and the compliment! Next up is a darkslide tutorial (releasing in 2 weeks) Trying to get a balance between super easy tricks and the harder ones.
Oh yes, happy to be back. All depends on you riding style. I'm an allrounder that also loves the waves and foil, so the Nexus fits me better. But if you're focussed at twintip riding (which you most likely are with a 13.5m kite) you'll love the power that the XR provides. I have a 15m XR and it's awesome!!!
Hey Steven, leuke video. Ik vroeg mij af hoe je de slack creëert om de bar voor jezelf van kant te wisselen (zoals in de introductie). Is dit door hard naar de kite te varen na de landing?
Hi Steven, thanks for the great video as usual. When you say sheeting the bar out makes sense from 8m+ jumps, you refer to heli loops only, right? (A tutorial on this one would be awesome as well) :-)
Hey Matt, that's exactly what the sheeting out is good for. Kite positioning before the downloop (also knows as heli loop) For sure a video I would like to create
What's the name of the trick around 3:46? It's where you look like you're "hovering" with your back to the water going one direction and then like a slingshot effect back in the original direction? (minus the landing backwards part, I see people landing standard) Thanks! :)
It's an amazing trip! I do agree that it's pricey, but any boat trip with limited space will have a price like that unfortunately. One of the downsides from #boatlife
On your first jump it looks like you stand up a little and release your edge just before you edge really hard upwind. Am I seeing things that you didn't do? Your jumps look so damn easy. I'm having a hard time keeping my edge.
You have a good eye 😉 Once you're very powered up you can release your edge a little bit to edge even harder. That's something which will come with time.
Excellent content and instruction as always. Even in your "beginner" tricks, I learn little, but important things. Your instruction is the best on TH-cam, don't change a thing.
Thanks Mike! Happy you could get some points out of it 🤙
Thank you Steven. You are very focussed on your audience. First rate, thanks.
My pleasure! Thank you for the support.

It’s so good to listen at proper way how to do things thanks a lot

Thanks Jérôme! Best of luck in Dakhla, have fun!
that intro is so smooth I had to wipe the budder of my screen! GOAT!

@@stevenakkersdijk yes Brother! I keep watching that over and over again in slow-mo. Almost there!
This is top video on youtube!!!!
Happy you like it!
Edging? Trying to get high? I now see why I love kite boarding so much
🤣
Well explained mate 👌🏻
Cheers, glad you found it helpful!

Glad it was helpful! You could give grabs and one footers a try, these are great to practise your kite control.
Yaayy back at it!!
Oh yes! I'll try and keep the consistency up this time

My pleasure! Happy you get something out of this video 🤙
Tanks to share!!!!!
My pleasure!
Great video! Keep them coming!! Looking forward to hearing why and how you sheet out for higher jumps. 🤙🏼
Thanks! I should probably make a video about that 😉 It helps the kite get higher above you so the downloop becomes smoother.
Nice to see you are back. One question, will you choose XR7 or Nexus 3 for 13,5 size? Thanks

Thanks for the support Frederik! Loads of content planned for the next months.
In 2 weeks I'll release the next tutorial "How to darkslide"
You rock!!!

Awesome! Thank you for these insights, well explained and spot on !
Glad it was helpful!
🔥🔥 Die trip looks epic!! mja 💰💰 mijn geldboompje is niet groot genoeg 🤣🤙🤙
Kan ik me voorstellen, is helaas niet heel goedkoop om op zo'n boot mee te varen.
thanks
Welcome
nice work man! where is this? great spot!
Most of these clip shave been filmed during a kitecruise in the caribbean. This was at the Tobago Cays.
Hey Steven, leuke video.
I'm training these maneuvers on an 8m xr6, are these 5 estructures kites more difficult to learn than the 3 ?
XR6 is an awesome kite to learn new tricks. Have fun

This is an inverted backroll hand drag, you can find a tutorial here: th-cam.com/video/hDdNgXgIxvM/w-d-xo.html
🔝💯🔥🔥
Cool
Thank you!
which core kite model is it?
During the intro I ride a CORE Nexus3 and for the tutorials I ride the XR7.
Hi Steven, how tall are you and what board size you use? Thanks
Hey Carlos, I'm 196cm, 86kg and ride a 139cm board
Thanks, I am 193cm and 90Kg, and was wandering what would be the right board size.
@@MazingerZ-Koji 139 or 141 would both be great for you.
