  • This was my first attempt at trying this cool pattern. I think it turned out great! Let me know what you thought and if you like me talking or not. Check me out on instagram and Facebook @ hanks on the square

Hey, bro, I think you did absolutely fine. Keep up the great work! And I'm definitely going to make one myself. You explained and showed quite well how to do this. Thank you!

Well done, Hank! I might try this, except I don’t have a drum sander or a track saw, but I think I can make do with what I have. I’m currently (trying to) making a 43x27” desk for my son (mahogany deck and pine legs with castle joints on the corners), and it being my first piece, I’m definitely learning a lot and making some mistakes.
Thanks for the time you took to film it and the information.
I don’t think most people like how they sound recorded, kinda pipsqueeky, but it was fine 👍

The walnut and maple were 3/4” thick and 1.5” wide. The cherry was 3/4”x3/4”. When the 3 pieces are together the squares are 1.5”x1.5 square. I hope this helped, if you have anymore questions don’t be afraid to ask, I’ll try my best to answer them correctly.

@@kandiecandelaria3134 if I remember correctly they were 4ft long and it was enough for me to make two big cutting boards.
