I don't know if everybody got the reference in the end when Rachel was looking up to the sky.
On the episode 9 from season 3, Finn gave a star with his name to Rachel on Christmas and said if she ever feel lonely just all she has to do is look up to the sky and no matter where he is, he will always be there for her. This subtle reference to this scene is very beautiful and even more beautiful and strong after what happened to him.

I really hated that Naya wasn’t in this performance. She was so important in the New York’s plot. I was expecting to see her in the last song in New York. I really like Brittany, Artie and Mercedes in this performance, but Santana was more important. She deserved a good closing plot.

When Rachel looked up to the sky, she was thinking about Finn. This song is about how some things can never be changed like their friendships but her life changed completely after Finn/Cory died... anyway, i LOVE Sam's part in this song and omg seeing their choir room became computer lab was heartbreaking.
I don't know why many people didn't like s5. I think it was amazing. Not as good as the first 3 seasons but i still love it so much! Seeing all of them together in New York was so fun. I just wish Finn had been a part of it :') I miss glee.

I love Kurt and Blaine sitting on the couch and reading a magazine together - so perfectly them, so perfectly domestic. wish we could have had more scenes like that, even if they were just in the background, where people are just happy together.

This to me is the real ending. I honestly think season 6 shouldn't even exist, but this here? Lea/Rachel looking up to the sky, thinking about Cory/Finn (he literally bought her a star) and then looking directly at us? This was a masterpiece and everyone who says this show was bad is just really close-minded.

i never noticed it before but right before blaine moved out in 5x14 kurt yelled at him that nobody wants to come in their house and be greeted by “a hideous workspace” and then when blaine moves back in at 1:12 he rearranged it how blaine wanted it and sets up the hideous workspace for him 🥺🥺❤️

this episode should've been the last, with somehow having Sam taking over the glee club, Rachel having a successful TV career, Blaine and Kurt happy, Brittany and Santana happy, even Mercedes and Sam together but have Mercedes be in L.A and famous. somehow have that the last episode. season 6 was really rushed i feel and some of the plots were just strange imo
I agree, the finale episode of this series felt really rushed It kinda left me wanting more. I wish we would’ve see what the others (Santana, Britney, quinn, puck etc) were up to as well during the time jump. There could’ve been more .
To me it's S5 that completely sucks, most of the storylines are abandoned and don't make any sense, characters are totally ruined. If anything, S6 made up for that because first we got the wedding episode, and also because Glee embraced its awkwardness, it came back to the satire it had in S1, and also it's kinda nice to see that Glee club was not ending after all, even if the original characters moved on. That being said, the show pretty much sucks after S3, this is when it should have ended.

remember the second to last episode in the 3rd season, where they finally win nationals? I wish that was the last actual episode, but then we had 1 final episode placed 10 years later where tina and mike are together and married, same with blaine and kurt, and santana and brittany. then we wouldn’t have the stupid storylines of the other seasons. and everyone had their dreams come true, and they ALL could’ve sung this song, looking back on their past. i think THAT would’ve been PERFECT!

Everyone points out everything but Kevin’s vocals/harmonies. His voice in the pre-chorus adds so much dimension. Overall, he was always such a strong vocalist that was always overlooked

Essentially, they were scrambling to finish the show after losing Cory. What Rachel describes about coming back to Lima and saying I’m home to Finn? That was supposed to be the final scene of the series. After he died they wanted to recenter the show on Lima to end it, so they had to find a way to get Rachel out of New York and back to Lima.
yeah but its realistic in a way. she does a horrible TV show and then she gets back to where she is and goes back to complete nyada again
I always felt that her leaving Broadway for the TV show was in part an underlying way of grieving Finn. He always wanted to go to LA and maybe she felt she needed a change. Maybe achieving her Broadway dream wasn't the same without knowing Finn was supporting her.

One of my favorite songs in glee!! Rachael sang the beginning so beautifully. People probably won’t agree with me but in my opinion is amazing see how much Rachael grew over the seasons. She has such a beautiful voice and became one of my favorite characters in the end. (Just for clarification I’m talking about Rachael not Lea) I really hope one day her personality catches up the absolute beauty of her voice! 💙

I honestly think she mostly just needs to grow up some and looking at her now you can tell she's grown and learned from all the things she's done and that's all anyone can really hope for. I wish that neither of the 3 dead from the show had to die, but it happened and maybe there is a reason that they died to how people are now, things usually happen for a reason.

I’ve never seen this before. Glee started just as I was going into high school. Soon our own school had a glee club, but watching this all these years later (finished school at 18, 10 years ago), I have such a wild range of emotions and all most in tears. When we all finished high school, this show was the last thing we all thought about, we had all moved on with the characters. Life got in the way. Going from worrying about grades and your first love and drama that seems so petty now, to going to worrying about money, jobs, family, what path you’re going down. We grew with the characters, but none of us got to see each other grow, but we got to see these characters grow, and then went out separate ways when it was time for us to go into the world. Watching this for the first time is like watching the beginning of my own life, what’s going to happen? Where am I going? Will I get to what and where I want? High school seemed so hard, but we had no idea how hard the real world would be, and how lost and lonely it could be. It’s like starting over, with no safety net, and wondering who’s going to catch you when you fall. Everything was easier back then, and the years since have been lost and went so fast we forget to enjoy them like we did in high school
Sep 2023, and glee's got a new fan. I am... feeling emotional. Really great number and it feels like a real finale. Well done
