I love how this movie(s) has helped popularize a cappella.⭐⭐⭐I was lucky enough to attend an a cappella workshop in Sydney (a couple of years ago) that was run by Deke Sharon, who was behind the incredible a cappella music in Pitch Perfect. Such a vibrant but also down to earth guy.⭐
I missed this era where all I do was just goofing and playing but now as a College student it is really hard plus the pandemic thank God we have TH-cam to cleanse our mind and listen to our childhood songs which brings back amazing memories🥺😍
you're expecting me to believe that girl has that deep of a bass voice this entire song? It took me awhile to notice the bassline at the start and then i was stunned with the idea
it's not believable. In context that character had vocal nodes surgically removes and supposedly that gave her the ability to hit lower notes. Not really possible but they needed to win somehow

Such great memories from this one.....honestly, don't care about the plot..just the music. And the Simple Minds song....one of the best ever. My fave version---Live at Band Aid. The best music....the 80's..

At 3:14 they start it with the "hands up" line and end it a second later with "It's a party in the U.S.A." behind the line "Don't you forget about me," as a nod to their bonding scene in the bus earlier in the movie, and as a transition into the final verse of "Tonight."
I caught myself singing the “excuse meeee” part like Rebel of give me everything when the song came on at a party this evening. Soon as I came home I had to look up the scene cuz I had no idea why I was singing it like that. Now I remember 😂

This movie pulled me back from a very bad place I still don’t know what it is or was about it but it snapped something inside me and it was like I was able to see a light again. Everything was feeling so dark and hard to reach but it lifted off me. Bloody cliche and stupid to say I know but it did do something for me
