If nothing else I think they were secret friends.

She’s dancing with everyone except Finn here, truly working as a team with the rest of the club, and I think that should be celebrated. Shue should appreciate her finally working with the rest of her team.

I wish they'd kept Matt and gave his character some depth. He has so much energy and enthusiasm in these performances that you don't really notice because he's just a background character.

Actually, he COULD help it. He just didn't WANT to. He was given every opportunity to turn his life around, and get clean and sober. He had the means, and the support, and he didn't do it. Yes, he had an addiction, but he also had friends and family who loved him and wanted to help him, he had the financial means to get himself into a program and get professional help for his problem. There are people with none of that, who still find a reason, and the will to get themselves clean. The fact of the matter is he lacked the strength of will to kick his habit. He lacked conviction. He CHOSE to do those drugs, and they ended up killing him. Saying he's in hell is mean sure, but saying "he had an ad[di]ction he couldn't help it" is just plain wrong, and frankly, smacks of enablement. If you were really a fan of his, you would see that he should have been able to kick it, and didn't, instead of making excuses for the guy like "he couldn't help himself.

Yes, he had an addiction, but he also had friends and family who loved him and wanted to help him, he had the financial means to get himself into a program and get professional help for his problem. There are people with none of that, who still find a reason, and the will to get themselves clean. The fact of the matter is he lacked the strength of will to kick his habit. He lacked conviction. He CHOSE to do those drugs, and they ended up killing him. Saying he's in hell is mean sure, but saying "he had an ad[di]ction he couldn't help it" is just plain wrong, and frankly, smacks of enablement. If you were really a fan of his, you would see that he should have been able to kick it, and didn't, instead of making excuses for the guy like "he couldn't help himself.
