I've seen these on train cars; twice now; tracks are only about 50 meters fron my house It's very exciting to think of all the energy they will soon provide! Build back better!
Sweet, look how far the trailer wheels kick out, that's a lot of rear steer. Awesome video and thanks for not chopping it up and ruining the best parts!
@@bridgendesar I'm not a lorry driver but used to work at a place that had a lot around and I believe it's simply that if they need to carry a lot of wieght they put them down, if they are carrying a lighter load they lift them so it's less road friction and less pointless wear and tear on tires and wheels etc that don't needed to be used. You see it on normal lorries when they are empty etc.
Yes the driver is proactive because that trailer have moving tyres in different directions otherwise he cannot enter in that narrow intersection and transporting the blades are difficult and diameter most is huge like 130 inches and to be 4 pieces the column (Wind Turbine Tower).
I was checking that out myself. Really neat. Came here to see how it's *supposed* to be done after seeing that video from Texas of a blade on a semi getting hit by a train. (If you've not seen it yet, the driver seemingly got stuck on the tracks while trying to make a tight turn and cross the tracks simultaneously. I'd wager that the spotter is now looking for a new employer...)
Is this the Fort William turn off heading from Kyle? Looks like it is, I have a couple of videos of the blades heading through Kyle on my channel whilst sat in the traffic, it's fascinating to see them negotiate the turns though.
The guy behind (Steerman)does the steering on the trailer axles. I haul these in Texas for the same company but this is a short one. We are hauling 67 and 72 meter blades here.
@@SouthTexasGhostRider I think in this particular case the driver does the steering, but he takes feedback from the man behind. Although the blades in Texas may be longer I suspect the roads are straighter. In order to get this project completed several km of road had to be constructed at a cost of over £3 million. The trailers are adjustable length, and in this case if you watch the clearance over the bridge railings also had to be taken into account, so I think the support for the blade was raised. The police had to be notified in advance, and roads might also have been closed.
Hello, I'm thinking of installing a wind generator from Your company. I live in Ukraine, I would like to know how and for what term it is possible to do?
Never seen an operation like this moving super giant windmill blades. I used to think they were small. That is what this video th-cam.com/video/w6qpXVoxNS4/w-d-xo.html shows.
I’ve escorted trucks many times,
I was also part of Installation and maintenance for four unforgettable years!
thank you for your labour to supply us with sustainable energy and help stop global heating. bless you
amazing. That driver is getting PAID.
They do pay us well but it is definitely a fun job.
@unknown anonymous ??
@@dudals1001 I was hauling them in Texas contracted to Vestas.
This is one blade of the three wind turbine blades, what a big piece.
1.25 cr
Could you imagine being late to work and being stuck behind this 😂
I may be wrong, but I believe they close all road ways where the truck has to travel through.
Or school
no one will believe you😂
@@datboishrek6662 not here, they drive late at night when the roads are mostly empty, been stuck waiting for one to turn.. Fun to watch lol
@@AnythingGasoline oh shit...thanks for the info. 😂😂
I saw 4 of these guys by the Love’s outside Sonora. I was so confused and amazed. I’m from WNY, and you never see that.
I live in Southeast Texas and see those getting transported all the time
They make blades like that near where I live and they are huge! So big that the people working on them look like Lego men.

Did you spot that the first set of wheels on the back were raised, I wonder why?

Nice work
The video sound is pretty good, beyond my imagination
I never knew those blades were that damn big. Wowzers! 😮

Now, if I found myself on the highway next to one of these...i might shit my pants.
Very nice driving 👍👍
Very cool that driver knows what his doing
Has anybody noticed fixture to hold this huge blade? Good design

Just imagining this blade slaughtering birds flying by
It's all of us coming from Twitter and losing almost 3 minutes of our lives to watch this 🤦🏽♀️
lmfao yea
WORTH IT 🤣
It's still much better than watching tiktok
I've never had a Twitter, never will. I found this on my own.
we haul 80 meter blades in the USA, thats a baby blade there.
So friggin COOL!
E eu pensando que o motorista fosse passar umas horas aí tentando kkkkkk muito bom esse vídeo.
Se não fosse esse vídeo, jamais saberia da existência desses caminhões evoluidos. Brasil atrasado é pouco.

Does the driver control the rear wheels from the cab? ...other setups I've seen have a rear control panel run by an operator at the back.
I saw these blades on Mumbai highway
Looking forward to Tesla Semi and other BEVs replacing diesels...
So how do they steer the rear wheels? Does the driver do that? Or is the guy behind it doing something?

@@Dave-nm8uk Agreed. That blade looks much shorter than what we haul. I was usually pulling 67 meter to 72 meter blades.
@@SouthTexasGhostRider How is the rear steering controlled? Is it electric motors that rotate the steering?

Super drive
How much fuel is it needed to transport the turbine on this suspension trailer
Dont know. You want to carry the next one?
Hard to say, but given the money they pay for them, it’s not a concern to the driver. He’s more than covering that expense, I promise you.
Nowhere near the amount the turbine is most likely displace in co2 per ton.
Change it to metres might help....... Nice job.
What is this????🤔

Landfill time
that's real ?
Of course

And that's "environmentally friendly"!
Balloaks it’s not. When the blades go bad. Which they will. They are dumped in a landfill. The material is basically fiber glass
Stargazer-auto What? Who told you they go to landfill?? They are used to manufacture cement!!!
How to transport China
Vestas currently has both Blade and Turbine manufactoring in China, making transport to the Chinese market easier.
