My husband and I wish we could go mudlarking with Si and Nicola! It would be such an amazing experience! #shared
#shared ❤❤ goodluck yall always love watching these fab clips!!!
Si, it may be time for a museum update from all the past finds since the last update. It will be interesting to see if they asked to keep any or their thoughts on some of the finds. #Shared
Good shout!
agreed
Yes please!
This must be a top secret location. You found so many great old old finds. What a great day for you two fellows. Wendys jewelry looks so good. Maybe she will make some copies of the cloth bag seals you found.
The London eye is in the background at one point 😊
That’s a wicked idea!
What a great mudlarking day for old treasures! The buckle was a magical find!❤
Cheers Delora👍🏻🐾🧡
Great video. Thank you again for sharing your adventures. That pilgrim coin/token is incredible.
A beautiful Dutch sailing barge you filmed there 🙂
There are a few channels, some showing the renovations done to Dutch sailing barges.
“Tiller Queen” is a great channel. Such beautiful vessels. They look amazing in full sail, very majestic indeed.
Take care and be happy. Till next time, all the best.
🙂🐿🌈❤️
P.s scritches and hugs for Nelly Nelson and company.
Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡Yes it's always nice to see the old ships and barges, once a year a load of the old barges go on a cruise
What a fantastic hunt, my friend! So many years of history in one hunt. Well done! #shared
Cheers Megan! 👍🏻🐾🧡
The bubbles in the bottle stopper are so cool, I didn't think it was clear glass. Nelson is stylin' and blinged-out in that silver pendant! 😻
Right. He’s one cool cat! 🐈⬛
“You’re a greedy little, sausage”, cracked me up.
This assortment of Medieval and post-Medieval finds has to be one of your very best, Simon. Congratulations on all your good luck. BTW, I have some bad news for you, Simon. Unlike that George I coin, YOU will not look nearly as good after being buried for 300 years. Just a fact! I sincerely hope Nelly comes with the beautiful arrowhead to the winner of the draw! Great job, mate! #shared
Amazing buckle
I plan on being frozen when I die and comeback in the year 5,000 on another planet
If Nelly is the prize, then I’m willing to join FB just so I can actually participate 😍🥰😍🥰😍
🐈⬛
😂 leave a trail of coins so we can all 'find' you, hang out on another planet in the yr. 5000. I'll bring the snacks...who's in charge of brew? @@Sifinds
@@girlnorthof60 😂 Let’s all get frozen, just remember to pay the electric bill
You made great finds in this video, the 700 years old buckle is amazing and all the bag seals (you have to give me a tip how to find one next time in London). #shared
Happy to Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
What an amazing day you and Kevin had - so many finds that were hundreds of years old! #shared
Cheers Marg!! 👍🏻🐾🧡
This is why you call it luck in the muck! Wonderful finds. I'm very curious about the belt buckle and wonder if it actually says anything. You find objects, read them off and even with stopping the video I still can't figure it out! Thank you Simon. #shared
Cheers. I think it’s easier for me to see them in person that it appears on film… plus I have 12 years experience so most things I can make a good guess at what they are. Cheers Mudlover 👍🏻🐾🧡
That strap end is an amazing find! Congratulations! It might be a good idea to keep it moist until you can get it to the museum so that the leather or whatever is in it doesn't deteriorate. Since it's been wet for so long, drying it out like that could cause it to disintegrate.
Cheers Micah, there is no leather inside. Only metal remains
Wonderful finds and video, I was glad to catch a live from you Si ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
What fantastic finds Si. The buckle was amazing. To think that survived in the mud for 700yrs! The bag seals and the token are great finds as well. #shared 😊
Cheers Bella🐾👍🏻🧡
the buckle looks like rune markings .great find si #shared
I was going to say Runes too :) it could be the name of a Norse god.
Cheers Matt! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Have a good mudlark si.... from New Zealand 👍
Another kiwi here too!
Cheers Martin! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
Kiwi too 😊
#shared Great video. Can’t wait to see what the Museum of London thinks about the belt buckle.
Me too! Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
Fun lark. The buckle is amazing. Your green glass piece looks like a trade bead known as a Don Don Sole bead. Also called Mali Wedding beads as they were given to brides in Mali on their wedding day. Made in Bohemia (now Czechoslovakia.)
Thanks Terry, that’s very interesting!!
Want to give a plug for Wendy -- some years ago I won some Thames garnets from Simon, and I worked with Wendy over email to make a custom silver/garnet pendant for my sister's birthday -- it was great to work with Wendy and the final product was amazing, and also a great value! So take a look at her various items or work with her to make something custom. Oh -- and Simon's pretty cool too!!!! 😆😆😆😆😆
Hehe. Nice one
A fantastic lark on the Thames si , you both had a great day. I look forward to hearing more about the strap end you found , what history in your hands , thanks again for taking us along with you ❤
Cheers Bev! 👍🏻🐾🧡
I think it's a green teardrop from an earring it's beautiful
What a bang up day! Some incredible finds! I wish I lived in a country with as much history as yours! #SHARED
We are blessed. Cheers Greg
Really enjoyed the video. Loved seeing all the bag seals and tokens. Nice to see Nelson and Daisy. Nelson is a wonderful fashion accessory model. He does the catwalk walk perfectly. Have a great week and please keep safe. 😊🇨🇦
I wondered why it was called a cat walk!! 🐾👍🏻🧡
Great finds! Always makes me smile watching your videos.
Cheers Mudlover 👍🏻🐾🧡
I love the one part where you’re showing Nellie’s new necklace and she just doesn’t look too impressed. Don’t you just love cats we have three of them, one new puppy, five months old and a bird. We love animals.
Really enjoyed this video and I know a lot of people are starting to get into mudlarking, but you guys have the trained eye where they don’t. That’s where you win over!!😃😃
Totally amazing that you find stuff dating so far back - love it !!!!! Keep on mudlarking 💙👊
Cheers Kels👍🏻🐾🧡
I was looking forward to the big reveal about the buckle and strap with the unknown writing on! Amazing find Si well done for spotting it 😀
Great finds!! Si how did Kev keep his hands so much cleaner than you?? 😊 Love the bottle stopper with the artist breath inside. All this bubbles!! Great vid.❤❤
I’ve no idea! Haha. I just dive straight in - being a Mudlover an all 👍🏻🐾🧡
Can you recommend a laundry detergent for mud, you must know the best ones by now 😂😂
My advise is don't wear cheap clothes (not that you do lol) Better gear is easier to clean @@elizarock655
Garnet is my mother's birthstone. Love watching ur videos Simon. Makes me want to get down and dirty lol. I always wanted to do archeology myself...I love history. ❤️
Wow!!! What an extraordinary mud venture you both had that day. Are the letters ogham--that is just so stunning. Please keep us posted. And bag seals almost by the pound! Was the brass one for a special delivery:) What a fab lark for you both, thanks for taking us with-- plus your cohost cats are charming as well #shared

Was a lovely lark thanks for taking us along ! That belt buckle, seems like quite a personal item.. i wonder if the design is the owners own creation ? Also the leather has been preserved by the antibacterial properties of the copper (you probably know that anyway) or it would have been long gone ... pretty amazing though !
Cheers Zee. Unfortunately no leather survived. There was an internal metal section that was visible on the sides
Hey thanks for your reply and the info update ... I usually get something wrong when I try to be clever ! 😂😂😂
The little coin was a fantastic find. Lots of lead seals. Could the one with the anchor have something to do with the Navy? Nice silver button. Awesome find that Irish coin. Took some work but looks great now.
Maybe it was a token made to gamble with on the boats by sailors?
I've loved your channel for years now. You are the one that got me interested in Mudlarking! #shared
Cheers Kathie! 😊👍🏻👣🧡

I have the rare Sunday off and looking forward to catching the premiere.
I loved the video as always and the finds were epic! Thanks, Sy! Hope to see you soon!!
Cheers April! 👍🏻🐾🧡
What a wonderful explore! Hope you plan on going back to that area to discover more history! 💖Love from North Carolina USA!
You go to a lot of cool places but nothing beats watching a day of mudlarking. It's not just the finds, it's your descriptions of what you find that make your videos so engaging.
...oh and the cats are adorable.
Thanks so much! 👍🏻🐾🧡
You have found a museum today 😊 ......lovely coins , seals , boar 🐗 pipe, etc.

Amazing finds! That comb looks similar to the combs made to comb out the nettle fibers before making them into cordage. #SHARED
Good shout!👍🏻🐾🧡
Nelly is a beautiful model. What a bonus day of finds! I did not know bag seals came that way. And the stunning bottle stopper!
Cheers Mudlover👍🏻🐾🧡

Gracias Sylvia 👍🏻🐾🧡

Sundays are always better with a mudlarking video from you and/or Nicola. You really found some interesting things. Those cloth seals are lovely. That buckle was very cool. As always, thanks for #share ...-ing. LOL!
Haha very good Beth. Thanks sharing
Amazing finds! I think that the belt is right side up at 17:06 and my guess is the letters of the part you found are 3 Welsh letters in brackets that translate to a boy's name like this: (AILL). My guess comes from looking at the book Pantographia by Edmund Fry which contains over 400 alphabets. #shared
Wow. Thanks for the suggestion!
Always excited to find a new Si video❤
Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
So much history!! I love it all ❤ The buckle is an incredible find! I hope you manage to decipher it (and that the message is a positive one 😂) #shared
It’s a belter of a find Beth 👍🏻🐾🧡
@@Sifinds I think the buckle reads GODIVA - the buckle is the G!
Do love Nelly n Daisy. My black cat likes to eat everyone else's food lol. That stopper was beautiful, all those bubbles.
What a great episode, things just kept popping. Love the cats and love love love the fact you have chickens in our backyard. And would also love a museum update. #shared

Cheers Elaine👍🏻🐾🧡
I think your videos are awesome. It's definitely not boring. Whoever said that don't know what they're talking about. I love watching you go exploring. And the history lessons are wonderful. Thank you 😊
Thanks Donna. It was a joke. Boar jaw / boaring 🐗 Geddit? 😂 Thanks for watching sweetie👍🏻🐾🧡
All those bag seals last 600 years is absolutely incredible the linens or cloth being long gone.
Sometime we see an imprint of the cloth in them
Ahh,I finally bothered to look up that vanilla record,Treasure island,by Gary Mills!

That buckle is definitely Latin and it says
"If found, please return to emil the lost"

Lovely finds,Very interesting si, heart shaped jewelry,
I love this channel, I like the insight you give on the items you find very interesting.
@@damiah786 appreciate that Del, cheers matey!
Just come across and watched two of your videos which held my attention. I was born right next to the Thames, a stones throw from the Mayflower pub. So i had to subscribe as it would be wrong not too. Thanks for taking the time to do these informative videos.
Ah thanks so much for watching, there’s a big back catalogue that will keep you entertained for yonks
Really enjoyed this production Si, it bought back strong memories of two and a half years spent in Scotland between the ages of thirteen and fifteen, this time fostered a passion of finding old, interesting and beautiful, buried treasures that has never left me. As an Australian, my version of continuing this is a plan to visit some dinosaur bone sites in Queensland, and doing some noodling for opal fragments to integrate into an art project. The adventure awaits....😁Thanks for sharing your passion!
Cheers Mudlover 👍🏻🐾🧡
Wow, you two found some amazing items on this lark. Love the garnets that you find. The bottle stopper is gorgeous.

If you are short of Boars now in England, you can come to Galicia where we are bored of seeing them, they are everywhere, and at night they even go into the city and villages to find food in the rubbish bins, they dig up the farmers fields, and the last couple of years they have even started entering the cemeteries, we have to make sure the gates are well closed... And by the way they are delicious, I have cooked them a couple of times as my husband was a hunter. By the way loved the belt, just to think the time it has been in the mud is incredible.
Na you can keep them. Haha
Always enjoy your crazy finds. I think HRM, Queen Vicky, was your best so far! #SHARED
