    Thank you for making this video! YOU have helped us with reading when we were an absolute mess! I had no idea what I was doing, and you personally took time out for me, a stranger, but still a liked minded mama, in the very beginning of our homeschool journey. God bless you for your wisdom, encouragement and kindness. Shout out to AGF (A Gentle Feast)! If you are reading this go check it out...

    This was really helpful! I made some mistakes with my oldest that I hopefully won't repeat !

    A great break down of the CM reading lesson. This is one area we have not switched to CM method, because I do my own mix of reading lessons and make it work for each child.

      I know it sounds so strange to most people. Glad that there are a few kindred spirits out there.

    A question: how as a public school educator come to be familiar with Charlotte Mason? 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

      I’m not sure of the context for this question, but I learned about her in college. We had to do a research thesis paper on a philosophy of education we liked and in researching the various philosophies, I found Miss Mason and read her volumes.

    What do you do after this? This is the approach we took and it was SO good. Now my daughter is reading frog and toad and the tuttle and free first reader after we ised rhe primer to learn. Do tou continue phonics lessons like rhis or do you do just read aloud?

      Such a good question. Once my children were fluently reading Frog and Toad, I had them read to me daily from whatever we were reading together. I would notice hang ups or issues with specific sounds, etc. and I would do some quick, in the moment instruction. However, so far, my sons have not needed more reading lessons after they take off with reading independently.

    Did you use this to teach your kids to read?

    • @kindletogetherness
      @kindletogetherness  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello! Yes I did with two. My third son has thrown me a little and we have switched to a more heavy phonics approach.

      Can you expound on what differences
      Your third child had and how you’ve incorporated phonics more?
