Thank you so much for this lesson, and all of your lessons. I have a question about the first two steps, playing with letters and building words. Is it better to use lowercase letters or uppercase? Or a combination?

Part of Playing with Letters and Sounds should include matching uppercase letters to their lowercase counterparts. I usually introduce uppercase first, since they seem a bit more differentiated and not as easy to confuse. It’s much easier to see the difference between J and I than between j and i, or between G and Q than between g and q, for example. Though, to be fair, G and C can look similar, and O and Q. It’s really up to you which you want to introduce first: uppercase or lowercase.
