- A 17-year-old girl and her dog were rescued after escaping their flooded Kentucky home. Chloe Adams was home alone as floodwater started to fill her one-story house. The teen put the dog in a plastic container on top of a couch cushion and pushed it through the rushing water to her neighbor's rooftop five hours later, her cousin paddled to the rescue in a kayak. The dog was rescued first followed by Adams.
The world needs more pet owners like this
Sure The world can having me.
No! Because, the worst person on the planet can treat an animal like a God. But, people treating other people good is a rare thing. This is why we say, "heroes don't wear capes". Because, it's that rare.
@@DJBillionator so the world needs more people who abuse animals? This isn’t about bad people treating animals right the og comment is saying the world needs more people who treat animals right. Keep your agenda to yourself
@@DJBillionator reporting u.
Yes. Coz there was time a flood hit a nearby city and some evacuated leaving their dogs behind in cages. So, a lot of dog casualties in that city😞
Those kind of people don’t deserve dogs
She was so calm and so collected. It was a big factor as to why they both survived. She did amazing.
Don't look through the comments, it's all toxic. 💀
@@KennyMcCormick5467 Wow, so edgy bro.
@@KennyMcCormick5467 okay, bot 💀
No it's not if you're doing the same thing while crying babe having a panick attack you'll still survive. It's ok to be scared m
@@KennyMcCormick5467 🤓
@@minnie1379 I don’t know if you’ve had a panic attack before but……. It’s not just being scared, peoples bodies literally shut down.
Can we take a moment to also appreciate the cousin? They pulled out a kayak and paddled to get their cousin and her dog to safety. Even brought a life jacket it. Not everyone is lucky enough to have that kind of family.
What a hero. She even put her dog first. My cousin saved his brother's life by putting him into a kayak first when they were both drowning and being rescued. My cousin died, but saved his brother. Thoughtful heroism in both cases. ❤
Aww! Your cousin putting his brother's life before his own. How tragic yet beautiful is that love. 💔😢🙏
Sorry for your loss.
So sweet how she took the time to check if the dog could swim before it was too late. Kept a logical mind where others would panic.
Yeah but I thought all dogs knew how to swim… I’m confused
I thought dogs swim & babies float. Is that a myth?
I thought all dogs could swim..
Many dogs aren’t good swimmers. I think her dog is an old dog too
True 100 % agreed 👍
I love her, I love people who love their pets and wouldn't ever leave them behind.
thanks
Their family not pets
Facts it would be hard to save both my shepherds but I sure as hell ain't gonna not try
Something else in this video too. What was the first thing the rescuer did when he finally got up to the house? Pat the dog on the head. Didn't reach her the person, but made sure to pay the dog.

💯 ❤️🙌🏻 my dog is just another child of mine that walks on 4 legs instead of 2!
The Teen Girl said it herself. "Blessed." "Thank you God for saving both. Amen."
🙏🏼
Amen 🙏🏻💙
God caused the flood, he's in charge remember....thankfully someone stepped
The dog is truly blessed to have such a beautiful & caring owner!
Not too many people would selflessly put an animal first. I would. I commend anyone that would.
You know. Both the human and animal deserve a life. But If It were for me or him to survive. I would pick myself, I mean i still got way more life left. I don't wanna lose my life nor does the animal.
I’d like to think many pet owners would
@@jazzpointonyt528 I would never leave my animal. If I can’t take both of us, then we perish together.
@@ecnyc2174 People give their animals away because they move, get new jobs, decide they’re simply bigger than they thought, or a bit harder than they thought, because they’re having a baby and a million other mostly insufficient reasons. They leave them tied to fences and trees, outside shelters, or thrown from cars. I’d like to think so too, but I have no illusions.
@@Wildmoonlite I love animals I would probably do the same but alot of people sympathies with animals more then humans
So sweet. Sandy is a lucky doggy to have you as her owner. I’m so sorry y’all had to endure such a horrible situation. I’m praying for you both and hope you’re able to recover from this unimaginable ordeal.

Just a quick shout out to her cousin who came looking for her. Cousin is a hero too. They didn't know what they were going to find, but they came.
What a brave girl. The photos of them as a little girl/puppy and them on the roof made me emotional. :(
Agreed :(
Smart too
It’s common sense not bravery
Why do you say brave? Not like she decided to do it.
@@owenreaney6864 still brave
She's a hero in my book. She put her dog first before herself and didn't panic in the situation she was in.
That is stupidity not heroic

I’m glad she was able to save her dog, but I don’t think you should put your pet first. I’d be angry and devastated if one of my children died to save a pet. I love my pets but my love for my children is unfathomable.
Interesting how something like this got more views than the muslims who were murdered. People would like to be informed about such a silly thing (compared to murder of 4 muslims) rather than something relating ro murder. This just shows how people view us as muslims.
We need more people like her.
I’m like her
BRAVO GIRL . You put your companion first. You deserve a medal.
Cheers for her cousin coming to the rescue. Sounds like strength runs in the family.

That isn't strength, that is common sense
@@Oatmea1L it’s strength. Her cousin could’ve not come and helped her but they did. Not to mention getting there was probably very stressful and terrifying. So it was both common sense and strength.

In Russia they left their pets behind. Chained, locked. And look at this girl❤ she’s my hero❤❤❤
Don't forget that likely many of those folks left home to go to work and did not know they wouldn't be able to get back. The same is true of wildfires and other tragedies.
China is worst, trust me, I seen a lot 😿!
A dog is not a pet but family member!!! I'm so happy they both survived ❣️
Props to the cousin who came and rescued them. High five!
I was curious how the cousin knew where she was outside of just checking then I remember she had a phone
I was holding back tears when she held her dog up first....That's true love.

@@218hope Uh, well she had to. The dog couldn't just get in there by himself. People come first before pets. Doesn't sound all cute and romantic, but you should never put animals lives before the lives of people.
@@terrim8928 Nonsense. I have had pets all my life and I would move mountains to keep them safe. I help anyone in need, including humans, but have absolutely zero patience for saccharine sentiments about humans being above all, not least because our own species is responsible for most of the ills of the world that harm other animal species to begin with.
@@terrim8928I do I put animals lives before people

It's sweet and heart-warming! I've been told by my parents never to rush in the house to save a pet. After many years, the first thing to grab when the fire alarm starts is our cat. My husband and I don't have children, but our cat is always safe with us in emergency. She's still with us after 18 years, 2 airplane flights (1 over the Atlantic ocean) She's practically family:)
I will always rush in for my family. Some have skin, some have fur.
I have four daughters but I still love my cats and dogs just like you. Having children shouldn't make a difference. God gave me enough room in my heart for both ❤
This happened in my community. My family lost everything however I can't imagine what this girl went through. Thank God my kids and I didn't have to be rescued. Such an amazing brave girl.
I am so sorry this is happening to you. Stay strong and safe. I will keep you in my prayers (if you want of course).

I’m just amazed how flood waters can get so high. She obviously had to take action before help came. Imagine if it was a disabled person bedridden or in a wheelchair?
People died
I wonder what a terrain map of the area looks like there. If you put homes in a low spot, or a valley, ugh ☹ not good.
How much water dropped there?
This reminds me of a nasty deadly flood that hit in Germany. If you look up Erftstadt-Blessem that was unreal!
