  • These animals and children were rescued from hot cars. In 2019, It was a race against the clock when a mother accidentally locked her keys and her 10-month-old daughter inside a car. In 2023, cops found a frantic mom in her driveway with a pickaxe as she tried to save her 8-month-old baby trapped inside a minivan. In 2016, heroes came to the rescue when a dog was stuck inside a locked car during a 90-degree day. Inside Edition Digital's Andrea Swindall has more.

    I sympathize for the parents who accidentally got their kids stuck inside and immediately panicked but for those who just abandon their kids or pets in the car, they should be held accountable. There's no excuse for it, either leave them at home or take them with you.

      I agree that accidents can happen, and parents who unintentionally leave their children in cars due to oversight deserve sympathy and support. However, deliberate abandonment of children or pets in vehicles is inexcusable and must be met with accountability. It's a matter of basic responsibility and respect for life-either ensure they're safely left at home or take them along. There's no justification for putting lives at risk through negligence or indifference.

    When my daughter was about 6-7 months old. We were on our way to church. Found a great parking spot right by the door. I reached over and put my keys in her diaper bag like I had done soooo many times before. But this time I didn’t unlock the doors. As soon as the door closed I realized it. I ran inside the church. I yelled I locked my baby in the car. HELP! Even the preacher was outside with me. Donnia it’s okay. Looks she smiling and laughing with everyone. We will get her out. I cried the whole time. Once I had my baby back in my arms. Someone drove us home. I left the car at church.
    Thank you to all that helped me and these people here. My heart goes out to the ones whose children and pets didn’t make it.

      The first mom would’ve been too. That’s the only reason that they waited for a tow truck or somebody to Jimmy it open. She didn’t want her windows broken because if she didn’t care it would’ve taken her 20 seconds to get into that vehicle and get her baby out of the hot car.

    • @Darth-Lesbian
      @Darth-Lesbian 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@PhancyPants12 I think for me it depends on the exact situation, like exactly how hot it is that day. If it’s really hot out then ya waiting for a tow truck is ridiculous. And that first one was in Florida, so ya, likely hot.
      But I’ve also seen a mother unnecessarily shamed for wanting to wait for a tow truck when she accidentally locked her baby in her car at my elementary. Some people just saw the pics another mom took and didn’t realize it happened at like 7 am and it was like 60 degrees out. The baby was comfy in his blanket and car seat and laughed the whole time at those of us kids who were making funny faces in the window trying to keep him calm while mom was on the phone. The kid was in no danger of over heating or freezing at that time.
      So ya, for me it depends on the details.

    I'm a father of 3, the youngest being 9. I still make it a point every time I exit a vehicle to look in the backseat. Years ago I heard of a distracted parent leaving a toddler in the car all day after forgetting to drop them off at daycare. Came out to find the child deceased after 9 hours in a hot car... It terrified me, I make it a point to look in parked cars as I'm walking by for lil ones. I don't care if someone thinks I'm suspect or doesn't like it, as a father my biggest fear is something happening to a child that I could've prevented 💔

    When I was three years old my nanny drove me to a swimming lesson for my little sister. My nanny forgot me and it was during the summer. My door had child lock so I would’ve been trapped in a hot car for an hour. Fortunately a worker asked my nanny where I was which caused my nanny to remember me. What’s funny is there was no reason for me to be there so there it’s a miracle they even asked

    My heart ached throughout the video, until the end where you placed adults in a hot car with a button........then I lost it. Knowing they could get out by pressing a button, yet the animals and children without anything.......... just made it so real and heartbreaking.

    WHY does almost all of these people locking kids and/or pets in cars wait for a loocksmith or tools to open cars to save babies and pets risking their health and even death- Just bash a window and get them out. Whats more important yor loved ones or your frikkin car window?????

    Excellent video. The fact is it takes far less time for a person or a pet (particularly small children or pets because of their size) to suffer fatal overheating and death. I was at the doctor's office about 20 years ago and found a little pug lying on the front seat of a car next to mine, foaming at the mouth, eyes wide and staring, panting, soaked with saliva from her open mouth. I grabbed onto a campus cop and together we smashed a window and got her out. She belonged to a student who couldn't afford daycare for her pet, so she left her in the car while she went to classes. The dog did survive, but just barely. The owner received a hefty fine and a prohibition by the judge of pet ownership for a given period of time.

Any parent that truly loves and cares about their child would NEVER hesitate to do whatever it took to save them! 14:48 this is pitiful. The mother of the kid telling the officer “no no no” when he says he has to smash the window to SAVE HER BABY. The amount of parents who had the officers break their windows without a second thought is great. Clearly they accidentally left their child in the car and wanted their child to be saved as quickly as possible. No window is more important than a child’s life.
