I never got appreciated for once and it's really not demotivating me instead motivating me to become a leader myself and set an example for others.

I would never want to be a team lead for any position in a job because most companies will make you end friendships with people who have been your friends most of your life if they happen work were you work. They say that it's because they hold you to higher standard. However between being professional and letting a company lead you to being too stuck up for your friends thathave been there for you your whole life. That is why will never agree to a team lead position because it's not professionalism it's about a company telling you that your too good for them now.

Disagree with this comment. Unless you live in a very rural area, (70,000k+ where I live which is relatively small) I don’t see how you’re working with your “life-long” friends at every job. I don’t think I’ve ever applied at the same place as them. I had one of my best friends work for me at only one job and we got along just fine with me being his team lead. If a friend would make you look bad, then either it’s not the right job for them or they just wanted to take advantage of you, meaning they weren’t your friend in the 1st place. Real friends understand it’s a job and don’t expect any special treatment.
Appreciate your concern. However look at it this way that when you become a leader and start mentoring your teams ( who are close to you) mthey will respect you more if they are your genuine well wishers. And then with better results the company will also give you the freedom to operate in your own management style.
I broadly agree with this. Definitely agree with providing feedback privately and as soon as possible.
A few things to add. If you provide feedback, always, ALWAYS, follow up. What you don't follow up you don't care about.
When providing praise, do so in the way your team member would like. If they are an extreme introvert this may actually be in private. 99% of people appreciate the public acknowledgement. Its about knowing your people, not just treating them as a standard resource.
