- This is part one of three in a series building a utility shed that will house most of the electrical workings for our off-grid house. I'm building this shed and the house predominantly solo, unless the neighbors stop by for a beer and get roped into lifting things!
Awesome Ben. Can’t believe you did this by yourself without help lifting all that wood! Except for beer guy!
83rd sub here. Nice start of the build 👍
You're getting a bit of an accent there 😁
Can't wait to watch how it all goes
24 on center with 2x6 rafters?
Yep that’s correct!
what were the board lengths for the roof? and what was your angle at the peak?
It’s an equilateral triangle so the rafters are 16’ on the long edge and everything meets at 60°. Thanks for asking!
What is your closest town we are in westcliff about 16 mi South
Hey Rick, we’re on the other side of the range between poncha pass and villa grove. Good to have some local viewers!
@@RidgyDidgeRanch bought our property last May was planning on going up and building fences and starting septic but I wrecked my shoulder and had had surgery postpone for a year my wife's family are big aviators I saw that you were going to put an airstrip in very cool if you ever see a guy running around on a triumph tiger and a guy on a BMW GS that might be us
@@rickinge7682 I looked at some land by Silver West Airport south of Westcliffe, it’s a nice place. In the end our current location made more sense for proximity to family. Take the bikes over Hayden Pass if you haven’t already, I’m sure you’ll get a good view of my place from there 👍
