- Athens shopping: Take a walk along Ermou Street and see the famous shopping district in the heart of Athens Greece. I start from Monastiraki Square and walk along Ermou St. all the way up to Syntagma Square. Ermou Street is named after the Greek god Hermes which was the god of trade and commerce.
I lived on that street before it looked like this. 50 years has taken it’s toll on both of us.

9:21 is a classic scam. They put transparent cups and push them out so you hit them over and feel guilty. Just a heads up!

To paint over graffiti, can use sponge brushes, large plastic cups, exterior waterproof paint, wait until dry and coat with sealant to prevent peel.
Good memories
There are no fresh coconuts in Greece, only imported. These guys sell the coconut sweet bars not the coconuts slides. They use them for decoration that's the only one I 've seen selling them.
Yeah, I don't remember ever seeing a coconut tree in Greece.

But because it was occupied by Turkey ,we don't like foreigners visiting there.The turks benifit promoting and using our land as financial gane. We trying to unite the island up .But we still have scars to heal from the turkish Invasion 1974 .

I lived in Athens from 1989-1994. Then there was never any graffiti on the buildings and it wasn’t this
busy. The Islands are so beautiful and Greek history very interesting. Be sure to visit the museums. The Greek food and gyros are delicious.

Feeling happy to greece
My Greek gf was pick pocket next to the old church. I saw a purse snatch at the national cathedral. (One street right of the old church in the video.) No one did a thing, even though the old man was part of a tour group. Crazy....
In 2018 I think, a group of three or four of them surrounding me as I was getting into the metro at Kato Patisia. By the time I realized, the guy on my left has the 2nd button on my cargo shorts pocket almost open. When I pushed them away, I thought they were going to try to jump me. If they knew what I had in my pockets, they would have jumped me for sure.
Huge fan of you America vlogs, but this is great for us. We literally board a fly to greece in 2 hours and haven't planned much at all. Cheers

Sorry, I don't have kids so I don't know about kid friendly things to do, but the beach is always good.

The Stavros Niarchos Cultural Foundation Center is 15 minutes by bus away from Syntagma (it is a 600mil € project built by extremely famous Italian architect Renzo Piano), the Zappeion and other parks are also great places to visit. Make sure to oay the national garden a visit
I was there in August last year. I miss it. However, you got scammed. Kids always put cups with money in them on the footpath on purpose so people would trip over them and then give them money to say sorry.
The camera wobbles about a lot , but hey it makes the girls more interesting .

I got a better camera now with better stabilization so the girls won't shake so much next time. 😉

It's amazing to think that it is still standing and is in the middle of the shopping street. Imagine what the area was like when that church was built. There was probably not even a souvlaki stand around and maybe only 1 Starbucks. 😂

Sorry mate but u wrong. Because " the baklava" which one u told after 13:58 is belong to Turkey not greek.
unfortunately, we were your slaves for 400 years, so something has to rub off. And greeks make baklava different to Turkish people, like anything it is made with a distinct twist. I can say any food you make with olive oil is not Turkish, because turks come from Central Asia where there are no olives? however it is absurd to say that, just as it is absurd to say every food greek people eat, like baklava, is solely Turkish.
