Ben, I just want you to know that your content is much appreciated. You can't even imagine how much you're helping people. I wish you all the best, thank you for your kindness.
As a total newbie to fb advertising, your videos have been my absolute go-to place for anything facebook ads! Easy to follow and understand, easy to implement and even fun to watch! Thank you SO much. Can't wait to see more! Best, Alexandra
Really great video Ben, great tips to help manage an account and the daily variances that happen whilst allowing you to focus on new creatives and bringing in new audiences etc.
Thank you very much for your content, I appreciate it! My question would be that if somebody made a larger test to put this new scaling strategy beside the old one and to see which is performing better in the same conditions? I see that it doesn't make sense to test the exact same campaign duplicated, with the two different scaling method to not compete to each other, but I hope there is a way to see the difference between the two. Thank you very much!
Your videos have really helped me in understanding FB Ads.. Thank you so much Ben! I wish you all the best, thank you again for creating such useful content 💙
Ben you are great. I have a question about scaling, if you don't recommend duplicating the campaign then what should we do? should we just duplicate ad sets within the running campaign and then test different "Interests" BTW Thanks for the videos.
Hi Ben, thanks for your videos. You've been really helpful in learning Facebook ads and I'll be starting managing them for my business this month. Where do you get your B roll stock video content for these videos? I also film and edit videos for my business, and I've found them to be pretty expensive!
Ben, What som you think of using scheduled budget increase? We are advertising concerts and I’m thinking of increasing in periods when people get their salaries. Also, how would this work together with an automatic budget increase/decrease rule present? Love your videos!
Super helpful Ben! I need to go through your videos, but do you have one where you can explain how you can keep a winning plan running but try other ad types/options to reduce overall lead cost?
Very thankful for the content. I have a question, does it not put the campain to learning phase every time we increase it daily? Should we do weekly, is that a better option?
Thank you so much for the video! Ive just started my first store and running ads, its a lot to take in when you start. It's been 2 days and no sale through facebook, when do you recommend moving on and trying another product? Cheers!
Hi Ben! Thanks a lot for this technique, looks really useful! I have only one question though: while I am using ABO campaigns and I usually scale ad groups and not campaign, if I use this technique I need to set up this rule at the ad group level right? So for all the ad groups I would like to scale
Can I just ask about the two conditions, is that a “OR” statement or is that a “AND” statement? For impressions being over 8000 and cost per click being less that £30 ?
Hey ben Creating rule if cpr goes 35 then Decrease the budget i think making changes frequently to the campaign ll lead to learning or learning limited which is not good for our campaigns because if you are making any campaign then you should run atleast 7-10 days. Correct me if i m wrong and guide the better one 😊 thanks
Firstly, I wouldn't be overly worried about the learning phase. It's not that big a deal. Secondly, this budget change is small to the point where it shouldn't put you back in the learning phase.
Thanks Ben. Great content as always. I just completed your Facebook Insider course and I highly recommend it to anyone starting out! My concern is the possibility of frequent changes sending the campaign, ad sets, and ads back into the learning phase. Will a 3% daily increase trigger this? If not, about high can we go without triggering the learning phase. Lastly, if I have one ad set or ad performing much better than the others, is there a way for me to only increase the budget on that ad set or specific ad? My daily budget was set up for the entire campaign. Thanks Again!
Thank you very much for the kind words :) I wouldn't worry about that. 3% will not have that effect. The generally accepted amount is 10% but I have seen this not be so cut and dry. I would pause the underperforming elements and scale away :)
Ben, I currently only run ads to a saved warm audience (website visitors, email list, IG engaged, and FB engaged). It converts extremely well but is just small… so increasing my budget won’t really have any effect because I’m already reaching everybody in the audience. How would you go about scaling in this situation?
You'll need to start targeting cold audiences as well and scale there. That may mean you need to significantly improve your ads to be profitable to cold audiences.
hey, Wanna ask can we apply both these increase & decrease rules once at a time? and secondly, can we apply these rules to a certain campaign(not into all campaigns) only?
You can do that but it's riskier. You are more likely to see increases in cost per conversion. It really depends what you prefer and how much you value fast scaling.
Awesome content. Sir I followed your guide but mine doesn't have increase budget. It only have (1) TURN OFF CAMPAIGN (2) TURN ON CAMPAIGN (3) SEND NOTIFICATION. Sir how do I fix this??
Hi! I tried doing this but with ROAS instead. I set that I want to increase 3% if yesterday roas is higher than 1.5 and set it to 12am. Not only it did not run at 12am when it ended up running it said not campaigns are eligible 🤔 But 2 had a roas higher than 1.5. I'm a bit confused.
I need to advertise different products (catalog) sets. Different type of products. And there is always an Auction Overlap warning (a lot), but they are different product sets. How to (or do i need to) fix it somehow?.
Hi all. New to FB ads and using it for our little peanut butter company. FB won't let me upload MP4 video to the ads. Not sure whey and Google isn't helping. Any ideas? Thanks
Hey Ben, will this have a negative effect on the learning fase? Because Facebook tells you not to change anything on the learning fase and this will change the budget every day...
I'm also wondering that. I know that changing the budget by 3% (even up to about 20% in my experience) won't reset the learning phase, so I don't think it would be a problem there. I'm not sure if creating a rule will do that or not though.
Hi Ben, great video as always. I have followed your process above and am confident that my rule should be implementing however my lifetime budget still remains the original. Therefore, how can I trust that this is working? Should I be seeing a live reflection in the budget column? I'm tempted to scrap the rule and just add the extra budget so at least I know it will spend the full scaleable amount.
I have a question, say I have a campaign (ABO) for testing ad creatives and 1 of them gets the best results and I want it to run as a prospecting campaign. How do I do that ? I create it again as an CBO having only the 1 adset with the winning ad? I have no idea how to structure a prospecting campaign after I have tested things out. Thanks!
Top quality information! Question; with a high CPL, our agency usually just turn of the ad set/ads and create new one in order to see find new good performing ads. I would not in this case see any reason to have an automated decrease percentage rule if I were to turn of the ads either way. What's your input on this?
Sure you can stick with that approach instead if you prefer. Some businesses won't be in a position to create new ads whenever they need so will need to be more budget focused.
Such a Great video! My question is; If I have let's say 3 products in the same product range. Is it better to use different ad compaigns or using the same compaigns with different ad sets for each products will perform better?
The best on youtube i am waiting your videos from week to week and i know the time when you post it i have question now i use your method with cbo to do targetting with multipule audiences what you advice me to when i find some audiences genrate high-quality leads but they expisive and other adsets genrate good cost per lead but not the same quality how i can make my desicion to turn off which from them i use lead form inside my campaigns thank you very much Of your content
Hi Ben, do you know if this technique works with Advantage+ Shopping Campaigns? I can't get any kind of automated rule to work on them for some reason! The rule results I get is: Rule Checked, but theres never any changes made even when I know the condition of the rule is 100% true.
Would you still consider an Ad a duplicate if your testing for one different thing? Meaning for example everything's the same except the image/video or everything's the same except the title?
Gold content as always, my only "constructive criticism" is that, sometimes comedic stuff and meme vibes don't match well in such topics. I don't know, I could be wrong.
Hey Ben, great video. I’m planning on increasing my daily budget for a few winning Ads. But I’m torn between how to effectively do this. For example. I don’t know whether to just manually increase the daily budget for that specific Ad OR to simply duplicate the entire Ad and then just double the Ad spend. However my concern is with the new duplicated Ad wouldn’t it have to go through an entire new learning phase again? If that is the case, don’t you think it would be better to just amend the current Ad and just increase the Daily Ad spend? What’s your thoughts on this mate? Pros and Cons? If you can get back to me that would be very much appreciated. 🤝
hello ben, top video as always. i have a doubt about overlap, if i sell clothing, sneakers and hats and use for each category a different campaign using broad audience, does it create overlap? because the only thing that differentiates the 3 campaigns would be the creative. thank you very much
Hello, Can we add a new video or image to an ongoing advertising set? Or do we need to create a new campaign with a new set of advertisements and these new videos and images? Thanks
I note that you mentioned FB does not allow auction overlap in one ad account. I am dropshipping, does that mean I cannot test a few products at the same time (different campaign) but it will likely result in auction overlap because it is the same niche and targeting the same audience
Hi Ben, Thanks once again for an amazing video - given in your last video on scaling weekly with set amounts, I am wondering if you have a rule of thumb when you would increase by weekly increments vs daily % rules?
Yeah lol, I was checking the other scaling tutorial in which he recommended scaling weekly for stability. If you have a below mid-priced product that is suitable for a broad audience and a daily campaign budget under $200-$500, my advice would be to ignore these fixated rules and scale them based on daily performance: No. of results, CPA, etc. There are no fixed rules at this budget level tbh, it's only when you get to above $1000 campaign budget and by then you should increase the budget by a small amount every time.
Hey! Do you know why facebook instantly bans my account when I connect it too shopify, it has happened with every single one I have made. And they have given me no answer.
Hi! I am struggling to understand what you mean by "cost per action is greater than ..." how did you come up with the $30 and $35 dollar amount? Sorry if it's a silly question. Everything else makes perfect sense and is very valuable! Thanks
In this scenario I used an example business and it’s based on what the business can afford to pay to acquire a customer. That’s a calculation I’d recommend all business owners make.
Hey Ben could it be that they got rid of this option by now, when trying to set up a rule I no longer see the option to increase by percent just turn off, turn on or notifications
@@BenHeath Wow thanks for the speedy response. It seems in our account they have reduced it to 3 options only 1) Turn off campaign 2) Turn on campaign 3) send notification only
@@NAGmusic123 Incase you haven't found how to do it yet. I found that i could only do those options when i selected a campaign. I could increase daily budget by applying to all campaigns not just one
@@BenHeath awesome thanks! I just got my first sale on my ecom store, the pixel tracked it, but none of my campaigns tracked the sale so I was worried the data wouldn’t matter 😂
Yes you can still run omnipresent content. In this video I’m recommending you don’t duplicate for the purposes of scaling. You can duplicate when creating new campaigns or making adjustments.
@@md.rakibulhasan9340 CBO now known as Advantage Campaign Budget (ACB)- when you turn it on, you’re setting the budget at the campaign level. You’re telling Facebook to spend this budget according to any ad set that has been working inside this campaign.
Hi, when I setup the 3% rule, in the "action" section, it doesn't give me the possibility to choose the option "increase the daily buget by" anymore. Did something change in meta since the video appeared? I can only turn the campaign on or off. Thanks!
Is there a program with special features to designer images and shapes from all fields and also special features to change or add to the curriculum of students to be better and more talented and more careful and smarter......thank you sir......
Is there a way to prevent ad campaigns from hindering each other and competing at auction if they're both targeting the same audience? Let's say I have a good demographic I'm targeting, good custom audiences, and a good lookalike audience. Should I be changing the audience for each of my different product campaigns to avoid inter-competing?
Hi Ben, would you place different products, i.e. lipstick and a concealer, within one ad set or would you split them if they are targeting the same audience in a CBO campaign?
Hi Ben, I want to know that if I have 3 ad sets with there different images within one auction(Buying type) campignh with engagement(Campaign objective) then would those ad sets still compete with each other and confuse meta algorithms?
Hi Ben thank you for your time and effort in creating this videos. Just a quick note please create a video if you have time on creating a video for very small business and if possible lower the minimum spend to £1000 to join your agency. I know it might be difficult but it would help lot of businesses like us. Thanks once again.
Hi Ben. Creating this rule only allows you to scale for all the active campaigns. What should you do if you want to scale a single campaign and not every active campaign within the ad account?
hi you set the rule to be active in all campaigns , but the price is set in the adset, so unless is a CBO campaign, shouldn't be "active in all adsets" ?
this is a great tecnique in an ideal world but with the issue of correct attribution from facebook, I'm afraid it isn't . My campaign is going well but facebook only attribute less than half of coversions resulting on higer CPA. How do you fix that?
That is so far from a reason to not pursue an entire strategy. There are tons of solutions. The easy one is to follow what I recommend in this video and just use instant forms. Then you’ll have perfect attribution.
Hi Ben, amazing video my man! I wanted to ask I know sometimes when you keep increasing your budget Meta can reset your audience data. By using this strategy, would it affect the audience data / reset it?
Thanks a lot. Meta doesn't reset audience data when you scale. You do sometimes see campaigns re-enter the learning phase but that's not the same thing and won't happen with these scaling increments.
Thanks Ben, amazing update. We been wonder if we should do daily increase for a while. Quick question about Meta ad attribution, we have campaign doing very well, one of our customers turn into a wholesale buyer, buying 30 orders in 14 days at good discounts, now those orders are kept registered in Meta ads account and we end up with a creative that yield 30 orders, each at CPA = 0.3 usd which is ridiculous. Also the whole campaign result declines, do you think we feed bad data to Meta by accident?
Hi Ben, we scaled using your method after a successful campaign converting daily, it's almost now at 0 sales since doubling the budget across a week. Any advice or thoughts?
Grateful for your reply in advance If a create a rule for campaign and have ABO does it work on ABO also Or If i have CBO and i setup rule for adsets does it work on CBO as well Now should i create a rule for both separately or campaign or adset ?
Hi Ben,Can I run Facebook ads for ClickBank products? will it violate Facebook rules and regulations?if promoting click bank violate Facebook rules and regulations what is the best way to promote clickbank affiliate link with Facebook ads?
It's often safer to use an intermediate step such as a lead magnet. You can advertise affiliate offers directly, but you can sometimes run into difficulties doing so.
Great video - in "apply rule to" I don't have the option to cherry-pick campaigns, ad sets or ads 😢I only want to apply it to one campaign to test whether this works but it won't allow me to do that 🤔

It's still there in our account, I just had a look :)
Ben! Question, does Facebook take into account previous purchase data from the pixel to new campaigns optimized for purchases?
Good question - yes it does :)
@@BenHeath awesome thanks! I just got my first sale on my ecom store, the pixel tracked it, but none of my campaigns tracked the sale so I was worried the data wouldn’t matter 😂
Great video as usual Ben. So do you prefer the "7 Day Increment Way" or this "New Way"? Or does it depend on certain factors?
I have to say, I do like this.
Thanks a lot :)
Incredible strategy!! Thanks. Do you think it would work with Google Ads as well?
Thanks a lot :)
I haven’t tested this specifically yet there but will let you know.
can I run omnipresent campaign as there I have to duplicate ad set as you have been shown ?
Yes you can still run omnipresent content. In this video I’m recommending you don’t duplicate for the purposes of scaling. You can duplicate when creating new campaigns or making adjustments.
@@BenHeath Thanks a lot 😃
@@md.rakibulhasan9340 CBO now known as Advantage Campaign Budget (ACB)- when you turn it on, you’re setting the budget at the campaign level. You’re telling Facebook to spend this budget according to any ad set that has been working inside this campaign.
why i cant set up the decline rules daily budget?
Is the option just not there?
Hi, when I setup the 3% rule, in the "action" section, it doesn't give me the possibility to choose the option "increase the daily buget by" anymore. Did something change in meta since the video appeared? I can only turn the campaign on or off. Thanks!
So when I enabled this feature, and I duplicate my ad sets for A/B testing, it will now properly distribute the budget, is this what you mean?
No that's not what I'm saying. This is a scaling strategy that allows you to scale existing campaigns and ad sets
This is a life saver.
Happy to help :)
Hi Ben, quick question: How long after the initial campaign launch should you wait until starting this scaling process?
It really depends how successful the campaign is. The more successful, the less time needs to pass for you to be confident in scaling.
Hi Ben, would you place different products, i.e. lipstick and a concealer, within one ad set or would you split them if they are targeting the same audience in a CBO campaign?
Different campaigns if using manual campaigns :)
Such an informative content for the people who wanna scale up their businesses though meta ads
Thanks a lot :)
Hi Ben. Creating this rule only allows you to scale for all the active campaigns. What should you do if you want to scale a single campaign and not every active campaign within the ad account?
No you can select individual campaigns to do this with. Just highlight the campaign in question and then navigate to automated rules
hi
you set the rule to be active in all campaigns , but the price is set in the adset, so unless is a CBO campaign, shouldn't be "active in all adsets" ?
Sure, you can change that depending on your set up.
this is a great tecnique in an ideal world but with the issue of correct attribution from facebook, I'm afraid it isn't .
Is this work for remarketing campaign?
Is it OK to make adjustments to daily spends such often even though they are not that significant?
Yes I believe so :)
Can I run multiple campaigns if the different campaigns are for a different product?
Yes, that's often what we do :)
Thanks for this! So what does it mean for reaching different audiences? Do we just have to choose the one? What happens to testing multiple?
ON Instagram.
Hi Ben, we scaled using your method after a successful campaign converting daily, it's almost now at 0 sales since doubling the budget across a week. Any advice or thoughts?
Just got to this on the other video :)
Grateful for your reply in advance
If a create a rule for campaign and have ABO does it work on ABO also
Or
If i have CBO and i setup rule for adsets does it work on CBO as well
Now should i create a rule for both separately or campaign or adset ?
finally you got a better mike and we can hear you
Glad you like the audio quality. But I have had this mic for at least 6 months
Thank you Ben. I didn't know that.
Happy to help!
Great video - in "apply rule to" I don't have the option to cherry-pick campaigns, ad sets or ads 😢I only want to apply it to one campaign to test whether this works but it won't allow me to do that 🤔
If you select the campaign in question before you navigate the automate rules, then you should have the option to only apply it to that campaign :)
Hi Ben :) is this strategy also usefull when i duplicate a campaign which already runs well?
I'm not a fan of duplicating for scaling.
you are the best Ben Heath
Thanks a lot :)
