Ben, I just want you to know that your content is much appreciated. You can't even imagine how much you're helping people. I wish you all the best, thank you for your kindness.
As a total newbie to fb advertising, your videos have been my absolute go-to place for anything facebook ads! Easy to follow and understand, easy to implement and even fun to watch! Thank you SO much. Can't wait to see more! Best, Alexandra
Thank you very much for your content, I appreciate it! My question would be that if somebody made a larger test to put this new scaling strategy beside the old one and to see which is performing better in the same conditions? I see that it doesn't make sense to test the exact same campaign duplicated, with the two different scaling method to not compete to each other, but I hope there is a way to see the difference between the two. Thank you very much!
Really great video Ben, great tips to help manage an account and the daily variances that happen whilst allowing you to focus on new creatives and bringing in new audiences etc.
Your videos have really helped me in understanding FB Ads.. Thank you so much Ben! I wish you all the best, thank you again for creating such useful content 💙
Ben you are great. I have a question about scaling, if you don't recommend duplicating the campaign then what should we do? should we just duplicate ad sets within the running campaign and then test different "Interests" BTW Thanks for the videos.
Hi Ben thank you for your time and effort in creating this videos. Just a quick note please create a video if you have time on creating a video for very small business and if possible lower the minimum spend to £1000 to join your agency. I know it might be difficult but it would help lot of businesses like us. Thanks once again.
Gold content as always, my only "constructive criticism" is that, sometimes comedic stuff and meme vibes don't match well in such topics. I don't know, I could be wrong.
Ben, What som you think of using scheduled budget increase? We are advertising concerts and I’m thinking of increasing in periods when people get their salaries. Also, how would this work together with an automatic budget increase/decrease rule present? Love your videos!
Hey ben Creating rule if cpr goes 35 then Decrease the budget i think making changes frequently to the campaign ll lead to learning or learning limited which is not good for our campaigns because if you are making any campaign then you should run atleast 7-10 days. Correct me if i m wrong and guide the better one 😊 thanks
Firstly, I wouldn't be overly worried about the learning phase. It's not that big a deal. Secondly, this budget change is small to the point where it shouldn't put you back in the learning phase.
Hi Ben, thanks for your videos. You've been really helpful in learning Facebook ads and I'll be starting managing them for my business this month. Where do you get your B roll stock video content for these videos? I also film and edit videos for my business, and I've found them to be pretty expensive!
Super helpful Ben! I need to go through your videos, but do you have one where you can explain how you can keep a winning plan running but try other ad types/options to reduce overall lead cost?
I note that you mentioned FB does not allow auction overlap in one ad account. I am dropshipping, does that mean I cannot test a few products at the same time (different campaign) but it will likely result in auction overlap because it is the same niche and targeting the same audience
Hi! I am struggling to understand what you mean by "cost per action is greater than ..." how did you come up with the $30 and $35 dollar amount? Sorry if it's a silly question. Everything else makes perfect sense and is very valuable! Thanks
In this scenario I used an example business and it’s based on what the business can afford to pay to acquire a customer. That’s a calculation I’d recommend all business owners make.
Very thankful for the content. I have a question, does it not put the campain to learning phase every time we increase it daily? Should we do weekly, is that a better option?
I set this up exactly how you show it in the video and it doesn't do anything for a week now. I asked customer service and they said it's because it's in the learning phase... which doesn't sound right.
Thank you so much for the video! Ive just started my first store and running ads, its a lot to take in when you start. It's been 2 days and no sale through facebook, when do you recommend moving on and trying another product? Cheers!
Hi Ben, do you know if this technique works with Advantage+ Shopping Campaigns? I can't get any kind of automated rule to work on them for some reason! The rule results I get is: Rule Checked, but theres never any changes made even when I know the condition of the rule is 100% true.
Awesome content. Sir I followed your guide but mine doesn't have increase budget. It only have (1) TURN OFF CAMPAIGN (2) TURN ON CAMPAIGN (3) SEND NOTIFICATION. Sir how do I fix this??
Hey Ben, great video. I’m planning on increasing my daily budget for a few winning Ads. But I’m torn between how to effectively do this. For example. I don’t know whether to just manually increase the daily budget for that specific Ad OR to simply duplicate the entire Ad and then just double the Ad spend. However my concern is with the new duplicated Ad wouldn’t it have to go through an entire new learning phase again? If that is the case, don’t you think it would be better to just amend the current Ad and just increase the Daily Ad spend? What’s your thoughts on this mate? Pros and Cons? If you can get back to me that would be very much appreciated. 🤝
You can do that but it's riskier. You are more likely to see increases in cost per conversion. It really depends what you prefer and how much you value fast scaling.
hey, Wanna ask can we apply both these increase & decrease rules once at a time? and secondly, can we apply these rules to a certain campaign(not into all campaigns) only?
Ben, I currently only run ads to a saved warm audience (website visitors, email list, IG engaged, and FB engaged). It converts extremely well but is just small… so increasing my budget won’t really have any effect because I’m already reaching everybody in the audience. How would you go about scaling in this situation?
You'll need to start targeting cold audiences as well and scale there. That may mean you need to significantly improve your ads to be profitable to cold audiences.
Hi Ben! Thanks a lot for this technique, looks really useful! I have only one question though: while I am using ABO campaigns and I usually scale ad groups and not campaign, if I use this technique I need to set up this rule at the ad group level right? So for all the ad groups I would like to scale
Is there a program with special features to designer images and shapes from all fields and also special features to change or add to the curriculum of students to be better and more talented and more careful and smarter......thank you sir......
Can I just ask about the two conditions, is that a “OR” statement or is that a “AND” statement? For impressions being over 8000 and cost per click being less that £30 ?
you living on uk so please can advertising a product with sale price like 20 pound and get a good result on ? i mean can get cost per result between 7 - 10 pound in uk?
Ben, this is exactly the opposite of the last scaling video when you talk about the scaling mistakes. You said "if you do it everyday your campaign won't have time to stablish stability". So did you change your mind?
It's not the opposite but it is a different strategy. We're using this one more and more and in this video I do explain when you want to use each. In the previous video I said that you didn't want to scale everyday but that was referring to larger increments, which makes all the difference.

hello ben, top video as always. i have a doubt about overlap, if i sell clothing, sneakers and hats and use for each category a different campaign using broad audience, does it create overlap? because the only thing that differentiates the 3 campaigns would be the creative. thank you very much
Hey Ben, will this have a negative effect on the learning fase? Because Facebook tells you not to change anything on the learning fase and this will change the budget every day...
I'm also wondering that. I know that changing the budget by 3% (even up to about 20% in my experience) won't reset the learning phase, so I don't think it would be a problem there. I'm not sure if creating a rule will do that or not though.
Hi Ben, great video as always. I have followed your process above and am confident that my rule should be implementing however my lifetime budget still remains the original. Therefore, how can I trust that this is working? Should I be seeing a live reflection in the budget column? I'm tempted to scrap the rule and just add the extra budget so at least I know it will spend the full scaleable amount.
Such a Great video! My question is; If I have let's say 3 products in the same product range. Is it better to use different ad compaigns or using the same compaigns with different ad sets for each products will perform better?
Great video - in "apply rule to" I don't have the option to cherry-pick campaigns, ad sets or ads 😢I only want to apply it to one campaign to test whether this works but it won't allow me to do that 🤔

Hi all. New to FB ads and using it for our little peanut butter company. FB won't let me upload MP4 video to the ads. Not sure whey and Google isn't helping. Any ideas? Thanks
Thanks Ben. Great content as always. I just completed your Facebook Insider course and I highly recommend it to anyone starting out! My concern is the possibility of frequent changes sending the campaign, ad sets, and ads back into the learning phase. Will a 3% daily increase trigger this? If not, about high can we go without triggering the learning phase. Lastly, if I have one ad set or ad performing much better than the others, is there a way for me to only increase the budget on that ad set or specific ad? My daily budget was set up for the entire campaign. Thanks Again!
Thank you very much for the kind words :) I wouldn't worry about that. 3% will not have that effect. The generally accepted amount is 10% but I have seen this not be so cut and dry. I would pause the underperforming elements and scale away :)
Top quality information! Question; with a high CPL, our agency usually just turn of the ad set/ads and create new one in order to see find new good performing ads. I would not in this case see any reason to have an automated decrease percentage rule if I were to turn of the ads either way. What's your input on this?
Sure you can stick with that approach instead if you prefer. Some businesses won't be in a position to create new ads whenever they need so will need to be more budget focused.
Hi! I tried doing this but with ROAS instead. I set that I want to increase 3% if yesterday roas is higher than 1.5 and set it to 12am. Not only it did not run at 12am when it ended up running it said not campaigns are eligible 🤔 But 2 had a roas higher than 1.5. I'm a bit confused.
Hi Ben, we scaled using your method after a successful campaign converting daily, it's almost now at 0 sales since doubling the budget across a week. Any advice or thoughts?
Would you still consider an Ad a duplicate if your testing for one different thing? Meaning for example everything's the same except the image/video or everything's the same except the title?
This is great, but for some reason it just says "none of your selected campaigns would meet your conditions". The CPA is clearly under the target, but it's not running.
@@BenHeath Appreciate the reply! Yea it's not running. The only thing I can think of is that we're using Advantage Budget Optimization. If that doesn't matter, I'll play with the filters a bit and see if I can figure it out.
@@BenHeath Figured it out. These rules don't run if you have ad sets with spend limits inside your campaign. I have a testing ad set where I force a small out amount of spend to the ad group. Super curious to try this, so I'll test a different setup.
Hi Ben, would you place different products, i.e. lipstick and a concealer, within one ad set or would you split them if they are targeting the same audience in a CBO campaign?
Hi Ben, I want to know that if I have 3 ad sets with there different images within one auction(Buying type) campignh with engagement(Campaign objective) then would those ad sets still compete with each other and confuse meta algorithms?
Hello, Can we add a new video or image to an ongoing advertising set? Or do we need to create a new campaign with a new set of advertisements and these new videos and images? Thanks
Hi Ben,Can I run Facebook ads for ClickBank products? will it violate Facebook rules and regulations?if promoting click bank violate Facebook rules and regulations what is the best way to promote clickbank affiliate link with Facebook ads?
It's often safer to use an intermediate step such as a lead magnet. You can advertise affiliate offers directly, but you can sometimes run into difficulties doing so.
Hi, when I setup the 3% rule, in the "action" section, it doesn't give me the possibility to choose the option "increase the daily buget by" anymore. Did something change in meta since the video appeared? I can only turn the campaign on or off. Thanks!
this is a great tecnique in an ideal world but with the issue of correct attribution from facebook, I'm afraid it isn't . My campaign is going well but facebook only attribute less than half of coversions resulting on higer CPA. How do you fix that?
That is so far from a reason to not pursue an entire strategy. There are tons of solutions. The easy one is to follow what I recommend in this video and just use instant forms. Then you’ll have perfect attribution.
@@BenHeath awesome thanks! I just got my first sale on my ecom store, the pixel tracked it, but none of my campaigns tracked the sale so I was worried the data wouldn’t matter 😂
Ben - what about the recent issues with Meta Ads delivery issues that nobody seems to be talking about. People's CPM's have increased by 200%! Would love for you to jump in as a pro and guide the community you have built.
Hi atonal, I’ve heard people mentioning this but we just haven’t seen that in our ad accounts. I don’t think this is very widespread. Could a targeting of yours have been reclassified? And it contains far fewer people?

Would you still consider an Ad a duplicate if your testing for one different thing? Meaning for example everything's the same except the image/video or everything's the same except the title?
No those are different ads in my mind. Good question
This is great, but for some reason it just says "none of your selected campaigns would meet your conditions". The CPA is clearly under the target, but it's not running.
Sometimes those warnings are just wrong. I'd probably run it anyway and see if it works. I wouldn't be surprised if it does.
Different campaigns if using manual campaigns :)
thanksss maaann 3>>>
Hi Ben, I want to know that if I have 3 ad sets with there different images within one auction(Buying type) campignh with engagement(Campaign objective) then would those ad sets still compete with each other and confuse meta algorithms?
If I duplicate a performing campaign but instead of the USA I target the UK do they still overlap?
No that's fine :)
Hello, Can we add a new video or image to an ongoing advertising set? Or do we need to create a new campaign with a new set of advertisements and these new videos and images? Thanks
Yes you can add to existing
Does leaving one of your DUPlicate campaign off, not set the trigger of Auction overlap?
Yes as long as you don't have duplicates running you are ok. I still wouldn't duplicate to scale though.
Is it OK to make adjustments to daily spends such often even though they are not that significant?
Yes I believe so :)
Ben! Question, does Facebook take into account previous purchase data from the pixel to new campaigns optimized for purchases?
Good question - yes it does :)
@@BenHeath awesome thanks! I just got my first sale on my ecom store, the pixel tracked it, but none of my campaigns tracked the sale so I was worried the data wouldn’t matter 😂
Hi ben, in this video the campaign you demonstrated is running on CBO or ABO?
This can apply with either :)
Thanks for this! So what does it mean for reaching different audiences? Do we just have to choose the one? What happens to testing multiple?
ON Instagram.
Hi Ben, could i apply this technique or a similar one in Google ads?
Very helpful video 😊
Happy to help :)
I can't apply a rule to only 1 campaign. It's either all campaigns, or ad sets, or ads... am I missing something?
Try selecting the checkbox alongside the campaign you want this to apply to first, then go into the automate rules section.
Can I run multiple campaigns if the different campaigns are for a different product?
Yes, that's often what we do :)
