I'll preface this response by saying that if I'm using all 5 lenses I use Moment because the mounting is superior. That being said, I've answered your question below. Wide - Sandmarc Tele - Tie Macro - Sandmarc Fisheye - Moment Anamorphic - Moment I hope this helps! Drop me any other questions you have too.
@@photoswithphones thanks for your reply. Yes, the superior mounting of the Moment lenses comes through in all your videos. I’ve just received the iPhone 13 pro max and am considering these lenses but have yet to make a choice. What I would be interested in is a comparison with actual printed photos and results on any aberration with the lenses. Your comparions are good but lack this extra detail imho. Anyway keep up the good work.
Good point - it's something I do plan to do eventually but with a limited budget I've prioritized getting more lenses and phones to test. My iPhone 13 Pro Max arrives in a few weeks if you can wait that long!
Sandmarc says in their video for this lens that the hood is there to guide you with the correct closest focus distance, not for light diffusion. It looks like that may be a secondary effect. Good video though, thanks!
Great video! I love insect macro photography have few macro lens but would want to try this lens. May I also know what kind of phone cage case you are using and do you have any link to share?
Thanks for the kind words! The links below are to BeastGrip mounting options, which come with mounts for all kinds of different lenses (Sandmarc, Moment, Apexel, and traditional camera lenses). The BeastCage, what you see in this video, is purchased for a certain iPhone model only whereas the Pro Lens Adapter is universal. I cannot say enough great things about my BeastCage - the first link - but the Pro Lens Adapter - the second link - looks very useful too. I have not tested the latter, but the reviews are great and I've had great experiences with all BeastGrip products. I notice that they have clip mounts. Do you think it'd be possible to use a Sandmarc lens on a Motorola Edge 2023? Sorry for being so specific but I suppose just non iPhone is what I wanna hear @.@
Are you interested in the Sandmarc 10x Macro Lens? Let's discuss whether it's right for you below!
Good review. I kind of wished I saw it before buying my Sandmarc lens, but still helpful verifying my understanding of how it works.
I really enjoyed your video on the Sandmarc lens; it was informative and I liked the way you presented the info.
Thanks Barbara - so glad that you enjoyed!
thanks for answering my question about lighting hoods! good stuff
Just doing my thing bruv🤷
So what would be your definitive choice for all lenses (wide, telephoto, fisheye etc…) between Moment and Sandmarc?
I'll preface this response by saying that if I'm using all 5 lenses I use Moment because the mounting is superior. That being said, I've answered your question below.
Wide - Sandmarc
Tele - Tie
Macro - Sandmarc
Fisheye - Moment
Anamorphic - Moment
