I've had the NKJV Maclaren compact for about a year now and love it. Now I need bigger, so I recently bought the large print, verse by verse, reference (also NKJV) due to be delivered today (my old"er" eyes need bigger print and more white space 😂.) Did I mention that I'm excited to get it? I'm SO excited. But, to be honest, I'm always excited to get a new Bible. I enjoy the different features that each offer. The only things I'd love to see added to the Maclaren series are Book introductions and outlines. A nice marriage, birth, Baptism, and death section that is not generic looking would also be nice in the leather versions at least (imho). They are great, especially for people who have a hard time looking at the bright red/pink-red that seems to be standard in most Bibles.
I have the black goatskin KJV Maclaren and it's quickly becoming my favorite Bible. I think it has a nicer cover than some of the Premier Collection Bibles. I just bought the Green Goatskin Thinline, and TBH, I'd take the Maclaren cover/liner over it any day.
I have one of preaching bible and one in McLaren series which look identical. But boxes say different fonts? One 10.5..McLaren. And 11.5 Preaching Bible.
Sorry about this elementary question. I love pilcrows paragraph markers. I notice these dont have pilcrows, is there another way they designed this bible to know when paragraphs begin and end meaning are verse numbers bolder or is the subheadings what breaks down paragraphs thank you
@@timwildsmith thank you. I purchased one last night. Its not a deal breaker about paragraph markers. If nothing else i can do a project in it and place them myself with a mark of my own
Trying to decide between this NKJV Maclaren Series Large Print Reference Bible and the NKJV, Thinline Reference Bible, Large Print, Premium Goatskin Leather, Blue, Premier Collection..... Which text block and paper is better?
The paper should be similar... and the Bibles have a lot of similarities in general... so the decision should come down to your personal preference on the text block.
Bought two NKJV maclarens off christianbook and they reek of chemicals tried blowing a fan over it for a couple days and it still smells bad nothing like leather. Even made my wife feel ill. Has anyone else had this issue? Are all the maclarens printed in china?
Just got the Brown NKJV and I am really enjoying it
Love your reviews! Very informative! Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Ordering today! Thanks man for the review! love the Blue accents.
Nice! Hope you love it!
Blue sells. Inside and out.
This is one of my top favorite Biles along with the single column NKJV from Thomas Nelson's premiere collection.
Love these videos can’t wait
Thanks for watching!
I didn’t know what comfort print was so I just did a quick google image search of comfort/regular print. The difference is like night and day.
It’s a really cool project they did with 2K/Denmark. I’m about to review the new book the created about all of the different Comfort Print typefaces!

Wonderful!
I just ordered the black goat skin in new king James I can’t wait to get it. Thanks for doing the review!
You're welcome!
Great video as always, however, can’t wait to re-bind one of these into a premium unique Bible.
My thoughts exactly I purchased one for reminding.
You'll make it looks incredible!

Yes, I think they adjusted their marketing to reflect a more accurate size.

I don't think this one has a way to denote new paragraphs.

A VbV Quentel; love it.

which NKJV large print is paragraph format, blackletter?
I think the majority of them are red letter.

Will it be coming in a calfskin cover like the previous Preaching Bible series, or is that the genuine leather edition?
I have not seen a calfskin edition on the schedule.
Which one is better Sovereign or mclaren
I think I personally prefer the Maclaren!
@@timwildsmith which premium do you like the best. Nkjv translation
@@bigal8074 I love all the Nelson Premier Collection NKJVs.
@@timwildsmith thanks brother I truly appreciate your reviews and help. One more question verse by verse or maclaren
They look great!
Very sharp!
hey Tim hope you are well. I have a question for you do you have a copy of this Bible in the NKJV that you would be willing to sell?
Nope, but here’s a good deal on Amazon: amzn.to/3OwnGcT
Both bibles.... 36 gsm paper?

This is a poorman's Humble Lamb bible (minus the words of Jesus in blue text and artwork). The sovereign series is a poorman's Canterbury.
