I made this cake on the weekend for my daughter's 3rd birthday ... thank you for such an ace tutorial because ... I nailed it! I'm really happy with it, the sides were a little wonky but hey, so am I!!! Thanks once again, can't wait for the next birthday to come around now!
your piping is so clean and beautiful and I'm just so happy that people are getting back into piping And doing less fondant and gumpaste work. But wow I totally have to mention that dress it is just stunning It looks so good on you. Fits like it was made for you
Hi, I absolutely love everything about this cake the color the texture of the frosting the style would you mind sharing your buttercream recipe with a home baker ?
hello, i love your channel thanks you. I have question: whats (for you) the better buttercream for decorate the cake like this , swiss italian or american buttercream ? thanks
Simplest designs make the most impact in my opinion. This is one such. I would love to make a smash cake someday and make it a trend here hopefully. Result is awesome photoshots for a one year old birthday.
Hi , I just discovered your channel , you do amazing work ! I have to say though , I am not a fan of buttercream frosting , so i would love to see a bit variety when it comes to fillings , I know that carved and stacked cakes cant have a soft filling but here where i am from almost all cakes are made of sponge cake and creme patisserie filling ! its delicious
I love your tutorials, Thanks for so generously sharing your knowledge. I just attempted this with swiss merengue buttercream. It wasn't as easy to pipe as you made it look. Hmmm, perhaps I had a 12" wilton bag 1/2 to 3/4 full and needed both hands to squeeze. So I had a lot of shorts strips of icing on the vertical sides. I also found that I had to refrigerate in between colors. I could see the buttercream softening. What kind of buttercream did you use? Any tips on what I could have done?
i wonder if she used American buttercream. It tends to be thicker and holds up better in warm areas, although its too sweet for my taste. In my experience, meringue buttercreams more fluffy but don't do so well after being out in the air for awhile compared to American buttercream. It sags and droops.
Beautiful cake as always! I did have a question though. How do you get the cake to be so firm ?!? I find that even if I leave my cake to cool for a few hours , it crumbles when I'm trying to cut it or while I'm trying to the crumb coat.
Dhaarshinee Pursuthman Not at all, but just mind the edges of the cake as you start piping the centre of the flower. Your hand will be almost of top of the cake, so I just am always mindful of what I'm doing to not bump it.
Hello there, it looks so beautiful and u made it look so so simple, which I know it's not. Roses have always been a challenge for me just because of the icing consistency probably. You made your buttercream thicker or just worked with the two ingredient sweet buttercream?? Will appreciate your response. Thanks in advance
Madiha Zeeshan Yes, I used the two ingredient buttercream, but adding the color helped the make it less stiff. You can add a touch of milk to it if it's too stiff? Happy caking lovely xo
Cake Style Hi Vanessa, so I just had a question about the Wilton colors. So i see hear that you to get your desired color you've added quite a fair bit of the color. however when I tried this on cupcake i recently made, i had some complaints about the color staying on lips and lounges. how can i fix that if there is a solution?
Tanisha D. Yes, some colours do, and if you get it on anything, it can stain. It's just about finding the closest shade to what you want, so you don't need to add to much. I like Sugarflair colours too, because they are rich, and you don't use as much. But ones like red, black, navy, hot pink etc will always do that.
Cake Style okay thank you, I was just wondering. The ones i'm using are the wilton color paste, and I was trying to achieve a really dark blue, so perhaps I put too much. Also I'm making m very first stacked cake for my mom's 50th birthday. Any personal tips?
Tanisha D. It's about the shade you start with. For dark blue, you need a royal blue or navy, Americolor and Sugarfliar both have navy, and you can see it in one of our lessons, it's a three tier with the bottom tier looking almost black. Another tip is to colour it not as dark as you want, put it in the fridge for 20 minutes, get it out and leave it on the counter for almost an hour, and the colour will darken more.
Cake Style That's a great idea, thank you. Well I look forward to trying that an also look out for what my mom's cake ends up looking like :) Thanks again
blabhblaja It only took about 2 hours to make the frosting, color it, and then decorate the cake. Thanks for watching x
+Cake Style How and what did you use to do the frosting. ingredients and method please

+PandoraEast This is the sweet butterream, which is the American kind. I do use meringue ones for this too, but just fill the bag half way.
It's so gorgeous! ♥
Its soooo pretty! Ahhh! I love this.. I must try it, thank you!

soooooooo beautiful. How do you keep your frosting from breaking?
Thanks for sharing.
Mary Fotchuk You're welcome. It's just about not letting it get too hot or cold. Stiff icing breaks, and so can melting frosting.
Can't believe a baby is just going to squish this. It's so pretty, lol, I want to just frame it!
Krysta King Haha, oh I can just make another.
Beautiful cake as always!
I did have a question though. How do you get the cake to be so firm ?!?
I find that even if I leave my cake to cool for a few hours , it crumbles when I'm trying to cut it or while I'm trying to the crumb coat.

How do u make them u are so lucky!!!!!!!😀
Beautiful cake. I'm thinking of making a 10 inch round cake. Do you think it's too big for this beautiful design?
Dhaarshinee Pursuthman Not at all, but just mind the edges of the cake as you start piping the centre of the flower. Your hand will be almost of top of the cake, so I just am always mindful of what I'm doing to not bump it.
Hello, I love your cupcakes and cakes designs! Can you help me please with a color, how to get a "tiffany blue" color for a cupcakes or a cake ?
zuma hajiyeva I use Sky blue wilton or Americolor. If it needs more blue, I add royal blue in a tiniest amount. :)
Hello there, it looks so beautiful and u made it look so so simple, which I know it's not. Roses have always been a challenge for me just because of the icing consistency probably.
