Always thought those master 120s seemed pretty close to salute shells, definitely makes them worth the price with how big the effects are also
Power vs decibels works on a pretty hard curve. I believe power doubled = 3 db difference. This means db difference is alot more noticeable at higher levels than lower . Great work and thanks for the demo ❤️ Luci

I shot the Apocalypse and Black Anarchy back to back this weekend and the Black Anarchy were significantly louder! Good to know they came in #2. I've heard the Rambo's are the GOAT cans and this proves it. Thanks for the demo.

I was also quite shocked at the Black Dragon Box "Dragons" that they scored so high... they beat out ALL ball shells and even a couple cans.
I got a case of them. They are super loud. Can’t beat the price

Interesting. Outside of Rambo’s this kind of shows that it’s perfectly fine to pay less for the ball shells. They didn’t score that much lower - really cool demo. Any range of error on your DB measuring tool?
100% right. The ball shells usually break lower too so it's even louder. My meter is plus/minus 1.5db.

Yeah the supermans come in color too so without having been able to really test them yet I wasnt positive and I plan on pulling the other ones apart.
Getting those rockets would be rad so I can put together another video but with just rocket headers.

I got some of those Barbs too...was really surprised how good they actually are for their size. Nice deep bassy booms. Also have Rambo's but haven't heard them side by side ....yet.😊

Every additional 10db is perceived as twice as loud. 70db would be perceived as approximately twice as loud as 60db. 110db would be perceived as about twice as loud as 100db.

@chrislehmann6240 I've had several 1.75" ball shells. The loudest I've ever tested were the donkeyballs I think there may be two versions of those. One is round and the other is a mini canister with a ball shell around it to fool everybody.
I'm in search of a fireworks store that sells any of these salutes, PLEASE let me know if there is any in OH , PA or the Carolinas

Black dragon artillery are the best ones for the money I think they are up there in the over the hundred range the human ear is not going to differentiate between two to three deciple. So all the ones over 100 should be pretty good

What the decibels on a 60 gram shelI. I feel like the ban on flash in shells is dumb when a 60 Grammer is just as loud and deadly. They change then rule and allow at the least thunder king a those Red and Green Single shots
I want to point out that the canister shells do go higher than the balls so technically you would need to move back a little farther to create an accurate representation
The point of taking the lift out is taking the distance out of the equation. Which one is loudest at the same distance. That shows without a doubt what is loudest. Of coarse something blowing up in your face is going to appear louder than something 500ft up.

No. Every 3db the sound pressure doubles but every 10db increase subjectively the sound appears to be twice as loud. The 70x is spl increase not exactly loudness increase. Decibel measurements are on a strange scale. So in this case its 16.9db increase which is double, then doubled again with some added voodoo it's something like 16x louder. But realistically your hearing won't perceive a 16x louder increase and itll just subjectively be 1.5x louder. I'm not an expert but that's how I understand it...I think.

Darksides sound louder in person than Rambo’s is that because the Rambo’s have more lift
It's because Darkside's have more bass. DB meters can't measure bass.

And 3 db. is perceivable. Great work. Did you see cross match in the balls, it looked like one did.
The ball shells with cross match were the Harry's, Thunder Dogs, and All Rise. Cherry, Dragon Ball Z, and Black Box all had a really nice primed fuse with BP. The Donkeys and Minions just had a normal time fuse with no prime or cross match because they are fake balls and just mini cans.
@@rapidoxidation It is great to see cross match, It shows care. That's how I would make shells. I have slurry primed as well in some cases. Donkey Balls cans perform like the other balls.
