Sunshine is the worst of the 3D mario games imo, the controls just aren't smooth at all and the level design is mediocre at best

Yes, this is one of the hardest stages in sunshine. I have beaten the final boss and this is like twice as hard. I still need to beat it.
To do the backflip at the end of the video hold down the Trigger to have Mario stand in place and spray water then just hit jump! I'm sure someone will ask this so there ya go!

I love glitches that let you skip or break crappy parts of the game!
I’ve always just carefully walked back to the start along the borders of the river, then gotten back on the lily pad to get the coins I missed. It’s equally effective, it just takes longer.
This may be my luck, I’m having trouble getting under the water at the end
yeah did the same thing. It`s longer, but if you´re careful, it will work! i walked so carefully , i needed around 5-10 Minutes, but it was sooooo worth it!!
I hover nozzled over the river, edge to edge and it worked splendidly although it also takes a little bit longer too depending how many coins you missed, in my case the 5th and second to last. It's anxiety inducing
When I get back to the game, i hopefully remember that.
I mean you can come back to the video to remember it. But glitches are what make games fun when you think about it.
So between this video and the previous one I'm getting that it's easier to walk under the water that it is to ride somethig above it
Now, if only there was an easier way to finish the pachinko level, then Sunshine would significantly less frustrating.
My least favorite shine sprite to get
I actually like that level. It might take a long time and a lot of tries but I died way fewer times to it than this one.
@@OtakuUnitedStudio I don't hate either of them, I just think the pachinko level is super clunky. They were both pretty difficult for me at least
Seeing as it is based on an invisible barrier that keeps pushing you to the right half no matter what, I don't think there is a way around it.

Wow, I wish I knew this when I was playing it last week 😅 I opted for getting as many as I could and then SLOWLY running along the edge walls back to the beginning and trying again
Remember doing this without the glitch on the GameCube version. I almost did it on the Switch without the glitch but messed up after jumping for that red coin and falling off the ledge thank you for the glitch.

What a lifesaver. You can actually spray against the flow of the river to slow down a bit but I guess you don't even need to do that now.
Ok so been in that ‘only missing like 2-4 stars/shines before 120, replaying the worst over and over kinda going a bit mad’ stage on this game for about a week now. This video let me get this shine first try of this method. All the stars and thumbs up and everything. Life saver.

Omg this was so helpful. I literally stopped playing this game for months because I couldn’t get this shine.
One thing about the backflip is that you need to have water left in your tank. If your tank is empty and you backflip, the water will still kill you. Btw love seeing all the sunshine content. You should do a video about invisible delfino plaza.

Thank you! This glitch and the one to get yoshi to the island quicker were a huge help. I tried the lily pad run dozens of times and gave up feeling truly pissed. Got the star in 2 tries this time. Now I never have to come here again.

I have played this game since it came out on GameCube and just 2 minutes ago I was able to get all 120 Shine Sprites for the first time ever!

You can also just take Yoshi into the storm drain closest to the big brown pillar by doing a ground pound with Yoshi then walking back about 5 m to get a good running jump ready and then do a running jump outside of the storm drain and immediately spin your left joy con to transition Yoshi into a spin jump as he’s in mid air and then from there you’ll just perfectly land on the brown pillar and take the third boat

I game overed here one time, and considering the Yoshi boat ride to get there, that's one game over too many. Then I thought to myself, "Didn't A+Start mention something about this level?"

I remember when I did this stage, I was chilling on the pad and I hit a corner at a high speed and the lily pad clipped through the wall and I died when I had 7 coins. I was so pissed lmao

I just played this stupid course TODAY (and used the Yoshi Glitch from earlier to get there, thanks for that) and IF I HAD KNOWN!

Welp, tomorrow I try yesterday's Yoshi glitch and then give this a shot. Even with Action Replay and the infinite Hover nozzle in the original I could never manage this shine.
I like how yesterday's glitch involved getting Yoshi into this minigame and today's actually involved it?
This would have been useful when 100%ing Sunshine multiple times recently. I always saved this for the very end, and I had to save up 24 lives to beat it.

Aaah, the classic anything kills you on Mario Sunshine for no reason other than challenging purposes.
Alternatively you can also triple jump to bypass the death plane. You can do this on the side with the pipe.
Holy. Wow. Never again will I have to waste time aggravating myself over this.

I have a glitch that I would like you to cover in Sonic 3 & Knuckles.
Get all the chaos emeralds and turn them into Super Emeralds by taking them to Hidden Palace Zone via the rainbow ring in Mushroom Hill Zone. Once you have that done, do one of the Super Emerald special stages. When you do that, get debug mode, and go back to Hidden Palace Zone the same way you did before. Stand on an emerald, and flip the gravity with the A button twice before the special stage transition. If done right, you should be taken to the super Emerald special stage that you completed. If you have all but one super Emerald done, you can temporarily gain Hyper Sonic since the game thinks you have done all the super emeralds. It is only temporary though because you technically did a different special stage than the one assigned to the emerald you did the glitch with.
I always hated this stage but now I have an easy way to beat it
what makes this one so awful is if you miss one red coin, you can either die or use the warp pipe, which takes you back to plaza and resets the entryway, which is a huge hassle to open.

Now... An easy glitch to make this SO MUCH EASIER
(For any newcomers who don't get this, it's from the previous video of the "Boat Skip"
Holy crap, this game’s broken. 😂 I haven’t gotten to a lot of the things that you’ve covered in Sunshine yet, so a lot of the Sunshine content you’ve covered can definitely spice up my playthrough.
It's broken because it was rushed. Rushing the game can potentially make the game so broken. Take Sonic 06 for example. SEGA decided to take upon a huge difficulty of game development as their next Sonic game. But due to them trying to do a job for gaming hardware that wasn't strong enough for it, they would've needed to work on it longer than when their deadline came up, as the every 5 years Sonic game for the Anniversary, not giving them enough time to make the game actually decent. As Miyamoto once said: "A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is bad forever".
Even this glitch is hard af lol this game is crazy hard

I don't normally use glitches to get around hard parts of games, but... This one was evil. I hate it. I hate the 15 minutes slow boat to the island with Yoshi to open it, I hate that the water is insta-kill, I hate that you pretty much have to start over if you miss any, and I hate that messing up even once is certain death.
So I might just have to take advantage of it next time.
Can confirm this is still possible on Super Mario 3D All Stars.

But i alrrady did the level yesterday with something called skill. Except the yoshi part. I used your glitch there. I almost used skill.
This glitch is tricky! I beat the stage the normal way before getting to try to glitch enough times to figure out when to start hovering.
So, now we have a glitch to get to it easier and a glitch to beat it earlier. Nice.
Probably just faster to take the death and try again. Unless you are low on extra lives because that would mean you are kinda screwed if you die.

I found a glitch! It involves Yoshi. (Glitch in mario sunshine) use his tongue to grab a fruit. As he is dragging the fruit to eat it, dismount Yoshi. If you did it correctly, the fruit should be floating. If you use his tongue again, the fruit will magically teleport to Yoshi's tongue. Try it! It is pretty easy and fun to mess around with! I can only say one more thing... Yoshi REALLY needs to go a diet. :)

The easiest way is get on lily pad, get as many coins as you can, then get on the edges on the side, hover from one side to the other and get the rest of the coins.
How the heck do you do a backflip? I keep ending up doing side flips
You can just walk the beam afterwards cause the lily pad respawns
