@@vincentdobbins4189 Yes in the original recorded version you're very much correct. Commentor Antharro could be referring to one of the Live versions where Phil performed the vocals and assumied it was Phil who recorded with Ritenour. But yes Eric Tagg was the dude who sang the classic vocals.

Donny Hathaway is one of my Motown heroes. Obvious where Kenya gets her vocal genes from. "If angels whisper to you early in the morning it's really something wonderful and rare ..." This is the first song I heard from the great Donny in his collaboration with Roberta Flack. It was the late 70s in South Africa. Donny Hathaway's music was one of those who kept my spirit up in a very divided South Africa then. Great to see Kenya keeping his legacy alive here so many years after. AWESOME👌

Very nice! I wished that they let more of the drums and symbals audible as it is a live session. Unfortunately the mixing failed to project the "you are there" Soundstage effect that this session is worthy of.
