Because of the way the Grizzlys' claws extend from their paws, rather than retracting, as with the black bear, Grizz tend to leave an impression of their claws out in front of their tracks, whereas black bears leave relatively plain paw prints with little claw evidence, as you found. Those paw prints would actually be more likely from a large black bear. We have both here in Wyoming, so it's important to distinguish them when found. God bless you and yours, and stay safe!
I've seen tracks from both with and without claw impressions, but the "flat" arrangement of the toes and minimal space between them definitely looked more grizzly-like to me.

My Dad had a 66 passenger school bus that he converted to a camper. It had everything. It wasn't fancy but it was nice. He installed a cook stove with an oven, on demand hot water heater, sink and cabinets. It had a bunk bed on each side and a stacked bunk bed crossways in the rear. It also had a chemical toilet inside a stall. We deer hunted in that bus for years. He's dead now and I sure do miss him and the times we had in that bus.

when i first seen that you got a school bus i was like "this guy wasted his money" then after watching this video i understand, its a amazing machine, keeps you safe from bears, & its pretty much an RV but with a higher suspension, the part when you wake up in morning to the rain was just beautiful, would be nice if you did some fishing in that river, probably packed with trout, those omega 3 fish oils work wonders in healing the liver from drinking
It's just not camping without a fire. Glad you were able to have one, Steve! That's my favorite part of camping. The smell of the wood burning, coffee brewing and whatever you're cooking over it. Bacon and eggs are my favorite

Your bus has SO much underutilized capacity you should carry the MAX amount of diesel in bulk extra. Here in the USA the DOT says you can carry 100 gallon (378 liters) extra. "Magic bus" looks great. You have enough capacity you could carry your own approved fire ring for JUST these occurances.
Where does Beautiful Wife sit while you're driving down the road? Those buses can be a pretty bumpy ride...I picture her holding on for dear life back there...lol. Thanks for another great adventure!

I'm guessing the cell service was probably farther than an E-Bike can go. I am headed there next week, and my friends out there right now had to pin a GPS location 30 miles away from our camp that we can get signal. Needless to say, I have ordered a Spot Messenger.
I’m rethinking these camping adventure needed cell phone service no fires controls by ? Bear country and a bear that is habituated to the campground because someone didn’t clean their campsite, this cause the bears to grow up thinking your the food. Can’t stress how important that is for Canadians especially I grew up near Banff they were always looking for hand outs and if you got out of car they chased you.

At the end of the night we held hands and he walked me to my door I said "so when can I see you next?" He replied "I would love to sometime soon I will call you". That call never came. That mysterious creature roamed into the night and I never saw him again but I will also never forget him either. Where ever you are bigfoot I want you to know I wait for that call still and think of you often.

My Great Uncle used to own Ritchie Falls Lodge in northern Ontario. It was "only" 52 miles out of town on a logging road. You could hear a car coming 5 minutes before it arrived. Living in town now, I really miss that peace and quite.

@@Jester-Riddle i wish! i'm a school bus driver, and i can assure you based on how many times i've had to take a bus to one of our mechanics they are far from indestructible, lol. they are pretty tough, though, but it was rare when there wasn't one in the garage, and my school only has about 40 of them or so.
"Step 1" might be a good name for the bus, since it is already set up when you get there so you can enjoy a step 2.

Have fun with your logging road travels. My dad travelled down a log road in northern ontario with me when I was young. No one on the road for several hundred miles. Have fun.
My Great Uncle used to own Ritchie Falls Lodge in northern Ontario. It was "only" 52 miles out of town on a logging road. You could hear a car coming 5 minutes before it arrived. Living in town now, I really miss that peace and quite.
Hey Steve, I was going for a hike after work today in the Beautiful Okangan in BC and thinking about names for your bus, because you always bring it up ;)...Anyways, I was thinking Meander(me-and-her) . I sort of thought it is a word you would use in a dense wooded area when your lost..You know..Meander around this mosquito infested trail, if it is even a trail....You and beautiful wife are breaking the bus in on your vacation..Meander(me-and-her) Maybe Mia for short. Just a thought, I thought it would be fitting! :D Be safe!!

@@Jester-Riddle i wish! i'm a school bus driver, and i can assure you based on how many times i've had to take a bus to one of our mechanics they are far from indestructible, lol. they are pretty tough, though, but it was rare when there wasn't one in the garage, and my school only has about 40 of them or so.
@@manlymcstud8588 It was probably for engine and ancillary things. The buses are tanks in accidents with cars.
