I just flashed stage 1 and i started the car, turned it off then started again but when I flashed for the tcu tune the car wouldn’t start. I had to turn it off first to be able to start the car. Will turning the car off before starting it mess anything up?
The tuning software should tell you to cycle the key before starting. The software has that at the end once it hits 100% which it takes to double check everything is good to go and clearing any faults.
I just purchased the v4 cable and the engine tune. Will I need to connect it to a laptop first or will I be able to download the tune right from the app with the cable plugged into the car?

Hello, I am currently at stage 1+ with Unitronic. If I install the IE downpipe, I will need to use the stage 2 file. If I use IE using my phone and the required IE dongle, as you've shown, do I need to go back to stock first before running stage 2? Or does it clear it automatically if I just run the stage 2 file?

1. You can definitely go stage 1 without any bolt ons. If you want to run the high torque files you will need to also get a TCU Tune or get an upgraded clutch. 2. The device will have whatever tunes you purchased from IE that are assigned to your car. Hit up our sales team and we can ensure you get setup with everything you need.

You can indeed swap back to stock should you choose.
Those are all preset tune options, can it do fully custom tuning and coding or do we need to stick with using a laptop and tuning software?
The phone flashing would just be for IE created off the shelf tunes.

It definitely wouldn't hurt to turn off those features so you don't have anything happen especially when cycling the key.

You still have to buy your tunes. This just allows you to switch them up from your phone easily.

We always recommend connecting to a battery charger when flashing to avoid possibly damaging the ECU.

Yes, you can load any of the IE tunes that may have burbles.

Can I disconnect the powerlink after the car has been flashed?
Yes, once the flash is done, you tell the app to disconnect and you are good to unplug it
How to install the app on phone?
The app can be downloaded from the Google Play store or from the Apple App store. Just searched for PowerLink and it should pop right up.
