Learn how to tune your car! Explained (step-by-step & with burbles)

- Hey guys! In this video, I show you how to use the My Genius Handheld device to upload files to your car and tune it! Once again, YOU NEEEEEEEED A WINDOWS COMPUTER! THE TUNING SOFTWARE (to download and upload your files) IS ONLY COMPATIBLE WITH WINDOWS (NOT MAC)! So I suggest getting a windows computer before even thinking about tuning your car.
Since I wasn't able to extract the stock file on video (I did this step already), I will leave the link to the tutorial below! Make sure to follow the steps carefully and read everything carefully. I wanted to change the tune from the aggressive pops and bang to a milder burble, and that's what I showed up in this video.
So, once you finish extracting the stock file, you have to email it to the tuner! Give them some time in order to finish the tune. Once they're done, they'll send it back to you via email and you can upload the file to the MyGenius software and onto the device itself. Then, you plug the device into your OBDII port and follow the directions in the video.
*NOTE* IF YOU WANT BURBLES OR POPS AND BANGS, YOU HAVE TO LET THE TUNER KNOW! Or else they won't know you want it. They can't read your mind.

I just got Stage 1 Tune on my 18' c43. Did you notice that the pops and bangs were too much? They are charging me 200$ to remap and make a custom sound.
Did you have any experience with that?

PFE AMG yeah the handheld is extra $$$ on top of the tune but it’s worth it because you can change to a different file whenever you want

@@nickpalmer6023 No they send you different tunes or maps, so you can change between them. All the tunes/maps are saved in files that you select via the handheld.
Do you still have to download an send the file in your ecu if your car is already tuned by a different tuner?
This video is titled "how to tune your car" but the instructions seem to be. "extract file. Pay a tuner to tune. Import file". I think I'm missing the "tuning"part. Is that in another video. Like a part two?
Hi I just want to know if I ask the tuner to add more burble and more pops and bangs together is that fine or if they add more pops & bangs the burble will be lesser ? I’m going for a stage 2 tune with eurocharged and I have an aftermarket downpipe from renntech, pls just wanted to know the difference of adding these 2 sounds .
Cool video, but it’s still not really tuning your own car if someone else wrote the tune file. You have any info on actually customizing your own parameters? Like writing your own file.

I have a 2024 GLE 63s and was looking to get the Eurocharged ECU, CPC, and TCU tunes. Do you have the CPC tune? My transmission seems clunky and lazy right now, hoping the new transmission tune will help this issue. Any advice?
After a few weeks with the Eurocharged tune how happy are you with it? Also any check engine lights from the WEISTEC downpipes?

hi, may i know who to email the ECU file to?
I'm about to purchase a tune and my question is that the battery must be hooked up to a charger while flashing the ECU and copying the stock file, and for placing the tuned file onto the ECU. How come you did it without a battery charger? I've read on forums that if the vehicle's battery dies, it can brick your ECU. Does the MyGenius device just suck on so much battery, or is it just a safety precaution incase it takes a very long time for the process to complete? Sorry if these questions were dumb but I'm new to tuning, would be glad if you could answer them all, thanks.
I’ve never plugged my car into an external battery 😂 I don’t think it’s 100% necessary. It’s just a precaution
@@Amgenetics How long does it take to copy the stock file, and then to copy on the tuned file? Can you have both the stock/tuned saved in the MyGenius device?
Well you have to send the stock file to the tuner. It takes a few mins. And then they give you the modified file and you upload that to your ecu. It takes about 10 mins and yes you can have both the stock and modified files on the device!
@@Amgenetics Does the engine's fan start running through the process? Or would it just be like pressing the start button on your vehicle and the device does its magic? My battery has never died on me and starts flawlessly. I drive it daily and I believe it's fully charged. Eurocharged told me that BMW's need the battery charger as they take up to an hour to flash, but they said for my vehicle it would be about 90 seconds. So I'm not sure if I want to risk bricking my ECU, or just buying a battery charger lol.
Are eurocharged tune files legit? Did you get your tune from them?
What is the diff between burbles and pop/bangs?
This makes me want to tune my facelifted c43. im just torn with the warranty stuff. blah.
Vinsanitii In terms of noise, burbles are a little bit milder while the pops and bangs are more aggressive

Can tuners trick the 🐈 sensors ? So they can show ready? I know they can disable the check engine light but I was told that sensors would show not ready , resulting in test issues , any input on this ? Thanks

Amgenetics_ hi, I just got the eurocharge tune with their burble as well! Is faster! But how do I get the same burble tune as you, mine from eurocharge pops differently. And for some reason, the exhaust sounds quieter but the pops are loud though
@@aarontian968 how does yours pop? is it more subtle or more aggressive? and it might sound quieter because the sound of the pops is taking away from the exhaust note lol

It should work right out of the box. Doesn’t require any activation.

yesterday, I did a ecu tune with the file I got from eurocharged and I use just the regular cable for obd2.
this file is has the euc format. after installing the tune I got an engine check and esp on and the car went to limp mode.
they said that it has the stock and tune in the same file.
does the my genius handle device will work with this file or i need to request another stock file ?
I’m not sure. This hasn’t happened to me. Email them back and let them know the situation. They should give you anything you need

So mine did this when downloading my stock ecu like mine was weird mine did show the pct information or whatever it asked my make and model than I did that it went to reading the ecu
Around how much is the tune? Ik the mygenius obd scanner costs around 250 but how much is each tune from the tuner

For just a stage 1 tune? No 600 HP would be too much. I’d say between 60-90HP increase from stock horsepower

Stage 2 should be around 500. Stage 3 is where it gets a little risky but probably around 600HP

If I get this tune with the pops and bangs on my facelift 2020 c43 will the exhaust sound the same just with the extra pops and bangs? or will my exhaust note be quieter? and also how much is this tune, thank you :)

I am looking at the Eurocharged stage 1 tune for my 2020 Cla45 but I can't find the mygenius handheld as an option unless I select the 2019 tune (on the eurocharged website). This led to some questions so I searched up other mygenius vendors online and I found one going for $270 on OE Tuning. Is this this same device? Will I be able to use the eurocharged tune with it? Why is it so much cheaper.

You can buy the handheld along with the tune. And you get the tune from email
So if I buy a ODB2 to USB cable, and connect to my laptop, I can then tune my truck through a software tuning program?

Can I do this to a Camaro 2011 rs?
I HAVE A Maserati Levante S with extended warranty, I have 2 more years unlimited miles powertrain and transmission fully covered. I cannot afford to lose the warranty especially with it having 60k+ miles.... I want to however do a tune because every time I drive their loaner car when mine is at the dealership for service.... The newer models are so much more torquey and mine is a S edition 424HP. I want to do a tune but then when things go south, ID LIKE MY CAR BACK TO SUPER FACTORY UNREADABLE FOR ANY MODIFICATIONS.... Please give me a guide to the proper reliable method. I cannot take the car to the dealership with any tuning code or bug.

You need to buy a separate ecu and swap the tuned one with the stock one when going in for service

CAN YOU TUNE YOUR CAR WITHOUT INSTALLING DOWNPIPES? I LOVE THE SOUND OF THE DOWNPIPES AND THE BURBLES BUT I CANT HAVE THE CATLESS SMELL IN MY CAR.

I think they mean send the file you extracted from the vehicle, and send the file to the people that tune your vehicle
Have you ever tried Racechip tune?
I have a race chip on my C43 coupe in the Uk - good for 0-60 from 4 to 4.3 secs - only thing is that sport+ is aggressive and if road surface bumpy not drivable at low speed
@@nealc9230 I actually did end up getting Race Chip. Definitely a good amount of boost in the HP. I ran it with other cars on 50+ rolls and definitely saw a drastic increase in HP and torque

Just got a Eurocharged stage 1 tune with burbles, it doesn’t pop on downshifts or bang on upshifts anymore. How do I fix that? And how do I get pops on revs?
