Just made my tune so much easier. I've used a Macbook with Windows Bootcamp installed in the past but it the mobile app makes it so much more seamless. So glad I went with IE for my tune over the other options.
I'm very interested in buying one of these! I just would like to know how the point system works and all the features it has to offer. I see on the website it has reviews and questions for older tunes, but it only show the leading features for the v4. Nonetheless this device looks awesome.
Credits are just how tunes are purchased through our system. $1.00 = 1 Credit. If you purchase a tune (say Stage 1 and $899, for example), the cable will come with 899 credits loaded to purchase and unlock the tune. In the future, if you decide to upgrade to Stage 2 (say it was $999.00) you only pat the difference, so you would buy 100 credits ($100.00) to make up the difference. Once you use your credits to unlock a tune, you own it and all it's features and octanes for that car forever and it will not cost any credits to flash it again.
So this will work with all cars you guys work with? Say like if I wanted to flash a 3.2 Audi TT. I wouldn't need to buy the specific powerlink for that or could I just use this?
I’ve got this last week and brought it though a company I’ve updated it and logged it to the car but company is having problems putting the credit on to it meant to be sorted out to day and still nothing no credits driving me nuts as want to try this out
Which platform? Most tunes are going to be separate, where you will flash the engine tune first, and then the DSG/TCU tune after. The RS6/RS7 platform will flash them both though at the same time.
@@IEtunedso if I bought a stage 2 can I use stage 1 in the mean time till my down pipe comes in? And I won’t have to pay for the stage 2 again or anything?
Yes, that is correct. Stage 1 will take a certain amount of credits. When you jump to Stage 2 you'll have the remaining credits left over which you'll use to flash Stage 2 when you install the downpipe.
@@IEtunedI have an Audi A4 B9 and currently have a Revo stage 1 tune. Just purchased your stage 1 tune and was wondering the same. Can I just flash your tune over my previous one or should I go back to stock first using the Revo dealer?
When you flash using your phone, you don't need to use the USB cable at all. It connects through Bluetooth. Then you flash the car and install the tune. Once the flash is done, you can disconnect the Powerlink from the OBD2 port.
not sure why but the car refuses to turn over after a completed flash of the stage 2 tune and dsg tune. first time i flashed the stage 2 i had to roll the car back in neutral a couple feet and then it turned over and started in neutral. had to repeat the sam process after just now flashing the dsg tune. not sure if this is due to being parked on an incline while flashing but it is definitely something worth looking into
Hey, make sure you follow all the instructions on the app screen, many platforms require you to cycle the key before starting the vehicle after a flash. If you've done this and still experience this issue, then make sure to send a support ticket in: performancebyie.com/pages/contact -however, this is case is usually from trying to start the car after a flash without cycling the key first.
It depends. Typically a dealer can tell a car has been tuned regardless, so I would just keep that in the back of your mind. Our tune doesn't increase the flash counter, but again, it's possible a dealer can still tell it was flashed at some point.
if i had an obd-eleven connected and took it of and put on the ie power link and did a tune and take it off the obd and replacing the obd-eleven back will the tune go away?
No it will not. Once the tune is flashed to the ECU, you can remove the Powerlink from the OBDII port and the tune will stay. The tune saves onto the ECU once it is flashed.
I'm in a 2020 GLI and just installed the trueflex sensor and the hpfp internals. I'm having trouble with flashing the "trueflex install" file. It keeps erroring out on me. I even put my tcu and ecu back to stock and it still won't accept it. Everyone on TH-cam that does it looks like they don't even flash the install file. They just go straight to the stage 1 or 2 trueflex high or low torque file? What am i doing wrong here?
Don't flash the TrueFlex install file, you shouldn't need to flash that one. Just flash directly to the stage 1 or stage 2 TrueFlex file that you are wanting to be on. If you continue to have trouble, please reach out to support.
okay so let’s say i buy just the IE POWERlink V4 Tune Cable With Mobile Flashing does it come equipped already with enough credits to purchase stage 1?
When i try to update the firmware, the light goes red on the powerlink and it doesnt update the firmware, what are some steps to help fix this? Ive tried everything in the book it seems like.
If you're having this issue updating the firmware through the POWERlink Mobile app you can try using a laptop. You risk the ECU dying which can create flashing issues. If you are flashing between files it's a much quicker process and it won't typically kill the battery. If you are flashing from stock to the tuned file, we recommend a charger.
Check the serial number on the back of your dongle, if it starts with V4 all you need is to update your Firmware and downlaod the app, find the how-to guide here: ietuned.biz/mobile If you don't own your own dongle or if the serial number starts with V3, all you have to do is purchase a new V4 POWERlink and you'll be all set.
