I literally just came back for cata so I've only done ICC a couple times, thoroughly enjoying it. Glad I waited till the end of the expansion to come back to avoid the burn out lol
On or before August 31 is just a placeholder for the absolute latest date. They've learned not to give a strict release date early on in case of delays. It'll most likely release before, I see absolutely no reason for them to postpone it. I see nothing bad in this beta that makes me fear the release. But I do think they need to interact more with us. It has been 13 days since the last blue post. I know it's a beta, but we can't really test the game without them interacting with us. A status post each week wouldn't really be that much to ask for!

i think it's due to the beta being in shambles. like we still have wotlk values on some stuffs and other stuff are cataclysm. I believe the experience from monsters are still their WOTLK variant and that's why the experience leveling doesn't feel Smooth.
It feels to me like you're worried for nothing. The old world revamp is clearly their highest priority as they need to get that ready for the prepatch, not the launch of Cata itself. In terms of scale, it is also hands down the largest part of Cata. This is not like an ordinary beta cycle where they're introducing a bunch of new systems and tech that they need to get working. They're reimplementing old tech and once the old world and class changes are working to a satisfactory degree, there's honestly not much left to test for Cataclysm. A few zones, dungeons and raids that both us and they are already familiar with. I'd still expect a late June/early July release.
@@MrWizardJoni my gut feeling is saying late May or early June. Just enough time for the dust to settle on phase 3 of SoD. A month of prepatch sounds appropriate.
