When you've included Donald Trump, fiefdom, cocaine, morning AoE and games taking 4 years off of your life into a commentary it's always gonna turn out to be a winner. Go to the beginning of a video, pause it, got the the gear symbol for setting on the video and you can personally change the speed. 1.5 speed is ideal to me because they're not chipmunk's yet, but they are speaking at an understandable speed.
I meant sped up the intro for this episode once, for comic/thematic effect. I watch most YT videos on 1.5 or 2 speed already. BTW, AFAICT YT speed increase can't make people sound like chipmunks, because it snips many small chunks out of the sound (not just individual samples) rather than speeding it up. Heck, the pitch-shift would be the funniest part of a sped-up intro. Why am talking about this?

I remember a guy saying that trade carts and cogs where useless in turbo mode, cause you could just keep that pop as vils, getting resources and then selling them in the market for gold.... actually this could be a nice video if you get the time to go math with it :)
that's stupid. the game plays exactly the same in fast and normal. the only difference is that fast compresses two hours into one and normal compresses two hours into one and a half. if you do that you'll still fall behind other players, the only difference is that you'll fall behind FASTER in real life time (same relative speed in-game)
He's referring to the "Turbo Mode", not the Speed in the Game Settings. He has a point, similar to play on a map with aegis enabled, trade carts and cogs would be useless because vils collect their resources way faster by the time the trade carts/cogs make their standard gold trip to the ally market.
