As it has been said by David Frieburger: “don’t get it right, just get it running”. Its way easier to develop a running project than it is to ‘finish’ a build.
The world would benefit from more Freiburger. The personality that can experience exquisite joy from "good enough" with neither the jealousy nor the derision of the achievable pinnacle or perfection.
Very correct. Among other things it's more satisfying to improve something that you already have running than it is to perfect it before you hit the key.
Also I think its easier to stay motivated working on a car that you have at least driven. Working on my Mustang, I really regret not having just finished the brakes and ignition and then driving it a bit before doing anything else. Now the car is in pieces and the systems that allowed it to run are either apart or broken. I'm swapping the transmission taking it from the current ruined automatic to manual. But my friend is the only one who got to drive it, taking it around the block. It gets hard sometimes struggling on a car that I've never experienced even a little bit before. And sometimes I wish I had just finished the brakes and ignition and driven the car a bit before I made it better.

When the engine was out I think it would have doubled checked everything, I would have have also pulled the oil pan just to see whats going on.

@@cheeseontoastbrah it's all good, there's gotta be enough air chillin' around it - which is fine. -- it's definitely probably fine, because radiators actually function similar to the way Goku gathers energy for a Spirit Bomb -- i.e. it essentially just sucks in air from all directions simultaneously until it gets as much as it wants, and then it decides if it is feelin' like powering up your motor. At least that's how mine works.
Luke is the most positive guy, reminds me when I got my first car honestly.

This was my favorite episode of Gears and Gasoline yet, and I think I've seen everything from the last 3 or 4 years. It's just so fun! I love budget projects! Cars don't need to be fast to be fun, they just have to run!
