I've start looking, watching and following RS Motors video when I saw your video A guide on modifying Evo and then found out that he is a Filipino. One of my favorite video of them is the One Lap America Documentary - Mitsubishi Evo 9. And finally, I've been waiting for this Evo content of G&G with Ronnie! - Fan from the 🇵🇭😍
I agree it's like an aweosme tv show. Just like you, i would like to see more. At least 20 minutes. I understand tho, they want quality (which we always get) over quantity. But i got hooked up on their videos, at this point i was quantity aswell 😂
How can every single video on this channel be such high quality? One of the few channels I follow where I drop whatever I'm doing once I see a new upload.
Yes, Ronnie is Filipino.......but more importantly, he is a Jedi Master. At 0:50....I was hanging onto his every word. Very suspenseful and the music was perfect. At 1:01.....he dropped the bomb. At 4:42.....Jedi Master words of wisdom.
Had an 93 RX-7 R1 model back in the day. The evo 8/9 is still one of the best all-around platforms for the money. It's awesome to see how people are finally appreciating the RX-7 platform and supporting the rotary, but now the damn EPA has to jack everything up for the car community.
Great engineers and they built this for racing. The corporate heads just said "win" and gave them the money. Unfortunately they made terrible choice after terrible choice for the company as a whole. Who put gasoline direct injection in a production car first? Mitsubishi. Who didn't spend enough time testing that engine? Mitsubishi. Who just gave up on that whole technology because of reliability issues? Mitsubishi. Who is one of the only companies not to use GDI engines currently? Mitsubishi That whole string of choices was made without a single good choice involved They have lots of obviously bad choices like these, but this is my example because they made a whole string of bad choices. They killed the eclipse following and aftermarket by getting rid of AWD just to force people to by a mediocre FWD car or buy an evo. Well people decided to buy whatever Subaru they could afford instead.
That sad music while putting holes in your wheel-well transition to party music while installing the mounting bracket was excellent. I don't which of you two does the video edits like that, but they've been getting better and better.
Mitsubishi sports cars are my favorite ones besides HONDAS, they were luxurious, beautiful and they were pretty quick! High school me is glad to see the community built around the Diamond Brand, the brand that was coolest in the late 90s
I miss my Evo so much. I feel like I'm living through you watching yours get worked on and maintained. One day I'll own another, but for now this is enough.
I think the same exact thing happened to my Evo. Buttonwillow has a long righthand sweeper and I've been there for 4 track days. I was cruising on my way to work (65mph) and the motor let go. I threw a rod because of piston pin failure; never had a single issue before that.
Love the music for this episode. Love the suspense you build up when putting it back together as well as the sadness from drillimg holes in your chassis. Best automotive channel on TH-cam!
great editing and use of music as always, guys! One of the few channels that understands how to use music to create an emotion and mood. Whilst everyone else is using tired and played out drum and bass you guys know how to use cinematic style orchestral compositions to create the RIGHT mood and tension
I swear my Carmmunity Evo X has been there every time yours is. Thanks for getting it in another shot! Another great video with the guys of RS. Keep up the great content!
Under Ronnie's beanie...there are a lot of more wisdom churning, you can see it. What a great shop to support your adventures. Your content and post process editing is phenomenal, your channel is an addiction.
Man, the editing and music on this video is out of this world. Good work from the whole team keep doing this amazing stuff, you really have something going on.
Thank you for the video! But I really wish you had made the video longer. I wanted to more details about the work you guys made to the car in order to work again. Thank you very much!
Speaking as a car lover who's never been able to "get into the scene" this channel is my absolute favorite on TH-cam. This is the only channel that doesn't make me feel like an outsider looking in at car culture in general, it's so humble, genuine and down to earth. Keep up the amazing content, it's a blessing 🙏
I cook egg in a hole (like v for vendetta) with a full throttle energy drink every saturday for this. It's beautiful out and I'm gonna be learning how to tig weld. perfect way to start the day
Ben, I hear you, I feel you! I fell for a car, once, and never ever once found love again. I have sweet memories of chasing down an Integra Type R and a BMW M3 in the Maine backroads on my way back home from vacations. These guys were scratching their heads wondering what just happened and stopped at the same place I did, asking all sorts of questions about my car. I came close to fall again, with an EK Civic that was about in the state of Mia, but with an interior for street use. Anyway, keep it if you like it I guess is my point!
Yes Ben..... Best car ever..but sad thing... I still don't have enough money to buy evo...it's ok...enjoy watching your videos still make me happy.... 😄😄😄
sick new setup man! happy to see her running again. have always heard great things about the kiggly hlas for track oriented evos. the "sharpness" comment sums it up well when it comes to driving evos. great work! 🙌
Synthetic and detergents have nothing specifically to do with break-in, friction modifiers are what you're looking to avoid. And when cars come from the factory with synthetic there's really not much to worry about- you just have to work harder to break it in.... ie get it up to temp slowly and then really stress it with high loads.
Seriously amazed by the constant stream of quality content from you boys. I've noticed on the last few eps that the black on your advance auto logo isn't quite keyed in to the black background you put it on. How's that for a nit-pick. Love you, Bens. Keeps up the amazing stuff.
@@GearsandGasoline Woah, I thought I was being an unhelpful troll. You are all legends in my book. Having a reply from you has genuinely made my week. Keep up the awesome work.
Excited. Still finishing my build, and can't wait to run again. Quick question, since dry new motor, did y'all prime the motor with drill or with starter/cranking?

Yeahhh Filipino, ive been always curious about Ronnie and he is a Filipino 🇵🇭🇵🇭
are you in #gridlife streetclass (now called club tr) or are you in the new street class?
I figured he was because of his last name
I've start looking, watching and following RS Motors video when I saw your video A guide on modifying Evo and then found out that he is a Filipino. One of my favorite video of them is the One Lap America Documentary - Mitsubishi Evo 9.

Ben named the evo Lana and drives it on Rhoades, I see he is truely a man of culture
LMFAOOO 😂 never noticed that
Lololol
he said previously he named it after Lana from the animated series "archer". But I like your version too. That lancer is a PAWG
Lmaoo
😂💀
G&G is like an awesome netflix show, you're never disappointed and they always leave you wanting more😍
Netflix who?
Netflix doo doo
I agree it's like an aweosme tv show. Just like you, i would like to see more. At least 20 minutes. I understand tho, they want quality (which we always get) over quantity. But i got hooked up on their videos, at this point i was quantity aswell 😂
If they were on netflix i would have something to watch:)
Wait keisuke, you’re supposed to beat awd with your rwd, not join them
He became the one thing he swore to destroy.
If you cant beat them join them
In an alternate universe Keisuke has a falling out with Project D and joins Emperor.
Guys, your production quality is on another level. It was visual&audio meditation, somewhat hypnotic on top. Hats down.
How is the camera work and editing so good? Feels like a full fledged Amazon/Netflix production
Called being passionate about cinematography
It's because they care
I believe they went to school for cinematography. And they build cars. So both go hand in hand. I think they did.
It’s because they’ve been doing this for years
Damn, this was quick turnaround. From Filming a few days ago, to posting on TH-cam with great cinematography. We really should be paying for this.
We are, by watching ads

it doesnt make sense how the production quality is so high

i don´t know if it is only me, but l love the evo even more than the rx-7.
Definitely not only you.

Here too.
I love them equally
Ronnie is right. I had the Mitsubishi 2.0 in my 88 Ram 50 back in the day. Bought it brand new in 88. It would run for days and was fiercely fun.
Looking at Mitsubishi today, it’s hard to believe they ever made anything this cool
Great engineers and they built this for racing. The corporate heads just said "win" and gave them the money. Unfortunately they made terrible choice after terrible choice for the company as a whole.

This is so cool watching him drive the evo in my home town i known where he drove around and that is just the coolest thing ever
Yes! Evoooo is back at it!!!
It's awesome to see you bringing your Evo up here. RS is THE Evo shop here in MN. Awesome guys to chat with and learn from!
Love the music for this episode. Love the suspense you build up when putting it back together as well as the sadness from drillimg holes in your chassis. Best automotive channel on TH-cam!
That intro music with the tapping sound though.
Love RS Motors, I've been there a few times just to look around. There's always some cool builds there

What happened to Ronnie he seems a little slimmer unlike the last video on the evo build? I hope he's okay.
No better feeling than driving an Evo! Great recovery 👍🏼
My 2004 8mr, which I've owned for 9 years is the best car I've ever owned/driven...enjoy it mate 👌
G&G's production is so amazing!!! Quality content!!! So good!
Dude, 10 secs in and I'm enthralled at the production value alone.. these videos man are 🔥🔥..
Love your time attack builds! Can’t wait to see them out on track.
Really surprised no one suggested upgrading the oiling system when the top end was upgraded. Awesome content guys keep it up!!

Couldn't agree with you more! @12:54
Oil starvation happens even with new cars today. “Performance” cars should come with baffled oil pans from factory.
Or drysump it if its gonna be tracked hard
Sticky tires are cheap. Dry sumps or fancy pans are expensive
So "HAPPY" to see the Evo back on the road!!!... 😁
Bro watching your evo vids made me love my evo even more! Kudos to you guys! Well produced and great content! Keep em coming!

Yes. Evo is the best car ever.
so hard to find an Evo without the insane prices now, congrats that the Evo is running well again :)
LOVE the dramatization. I will never get over how well produced your videos are.
Love the build love the license plate 🤙🏼

Glad to see you able to drive it again man
