Hi Magee's I put 50/50 bacon and ground deer for years and then I BBQ it it is great I recently did 50/50 with Boer goat and bacon it is delicious on the grill I can't believe you're just now doing this I've done it for years enjoy it on the grill the family will love it nothing like a hamburger that tastes like bacon God bless I'll be seeing you soon see y'all

I made a deer 🦌 chili last week, I mixed 2lbs of deer, 1-1/2lbs of pork, and 1lb of beef, it was excellent 😋, my younger brother ate himself into a food hangover 🤣 a great compliment to the chef 😊

We add bacon to our deer burger so it won't be so dry. At 2 lbs for every 10 lbs of deer. Cover wagon bacon is great. We use it to fry and deer meat. Have you ever tried the deer bacon ? I've saw some recipes on TH-cam ground deer and pork they smoked then sliced .

I have a cabin down in the mountains near South Cherokee national forest that is all primitive and am already planning my smokehouse build. Plenty of hawgs, deer and bear there. Only problem I have is having to do this ole railroad job and keep a house in civilization for the wife!

Did the math for ya' on how much salt, at 2.5% ('cause I'm a salt junkie). Since the bacon's already salted I went strictly with the 10# venison. Most commercial meats contain approximately 2% salt. Low sodium around 1.5%. Long & short of it is for 10# meat you need 7 oz. salt (by weight not volume) to attain 2.5% ratio. Here's the equation: 10# × 16(oz) × 28(grams) × 0.025(2.5%)= total amount of salt needed IN GRAMS. (To get oz equivalent divide total of grams by 16 and your back to ounces.) Really enjoy your channel....., "don't come packaged"....., "breakfast under a buck"......, love it. :-)

Thats right ! It's very good in everything we use it for . Sometimes just make burger patties but it's really good in saucy stuff . Chilli , spaghetti or just make a gravy ( like you would with sausage) which is how we eat most of it

Crazy. I've thought about doing this a few times because it goes on sale often. I've bought it before and the bacon just didn't taste too great to me. It sure is a nice cheap option though. Would probably work really well in a 75/25 deer to bacon ratio for breakfast sausage
I use 20% bacon. 1lbs to 4lbs of chicken or pork. It comes out perfect. Not overpowered by bacon at all just nice tasty chicken burgers. As far as deer meat. I will never add anything but steak trimmings or good beef fat. Mmm mmm mmm I'm drooling just thinking about my deer burgers.

Hard to tell what you are going to get with Cebered Wagon bacon. I don’t think there is much quality control on what goes in the box. I have bought it that tastes great and have bought it that was tainted like there was uncut boar meat in it. You just never know,

Up here in snowflake country ( Pennsylvania ) we call it Deer bacon burger and sometimes that's all we make outta our deer 🦌. It's delicious 😋
