I agree with your comment about screen size but i think the thinness and lightness of the M4 and even the new air, which is a bit more slender than the old 12.9 Pro, does a lot to make the new ones feel so compact and easy to hold. The old 12.9 was a bit of a clunker. But overall the 13" size really is very very manageable even if just as a tablet. And i think it's a much superior size for reading PDFs, textbooks, ebooks, and off course for any sort of productivity work. For student in particular, IMO the 13" screen sizes are a lot more useful.

Another great review! For daily use I use an iPad mini as a note taker, it's the same size asa moleskin. If for every day use, IC and iPad Pro M4 13 inch. I'm not a student, but I travel regularly for work and the ones you punch of these two iPads are amazing.
Just ordered the ipad air 11 inch. To me it will be a more powerful and slightly more capable ipad 10 which should fit my longer before needing to upgrade ❤

Great recommendations, I've watched a lot of your iPad videos lately :) I have an iPad Air 5th gen but I want to buy a bigger size, I'm in med school and use my iPad a lot with the pencil. I'm leaning towards splurging for the pro because of the thinness and lightness, and promotion display and faceid is a plus, also the M4 chip might be a bit more futureproof than the M2 chip (?). I know I don't need the pro and that it's really expensive, but with the reasoning above do you think it's worth it to buy the pro if I can, I have worked all summer..? Or is it stupid, like I won't see a big difference..? :) I'm also thinking about using my iPad as my only device, I have a MacBook air but I'm not going to sell it just yet, I think writing my graduation essay (or whatever it's called in English) on only an iPad might be a hassle 🙈 and we write all of our exams on computers, and it's nice not to have to borrow a computer from the university. Honestly i am stuck b/w laptop and ipad The form factor of ipad , support of pencil is what i like about ipad but ipad os is somewhat limited as i am android user While everyone recommend me laptop Cause i can use it for my entire college life but IMO iPad would also make sense especially it's cheaper than laptop I am student i don't have pc or laptop either i just want a big screen as my Phone screen is too small and as ipad support pencil i would also save on paper but downside of getting ipad is low storage that 64gigs i think we could expand it by getting a good ssd ?

Id always recommend the Pro series. 60 hz on Airs is an absolute joke in 2024, that's my opinion anyway. Id recommend a refurbished M1 or M2 iPad Pro for a uni student or a teen, you can find good deals and even on Facebook marketplace, you can too. These will suport more functionality, such as larger screens for split screen, pencil, keyboard ect. Plus, it's powerful enough to get the upcoming AI to assist with grammar, emails ect. If its more for a child a standard ipad or ipad mini will be a good buy as its cheaper and won't mater as much if an accident happens.

iPad Air is a great option for all that. The Pro is obviously the best but very expensive. If it fits within your budget then go Pro

Yup I use apple notes and it heats up like crazy
With the os update it cooled down a bit but I still had instances of it heating up
