Alcohol is a drug, it's additive, and destroys more lives directly/indirectly than any other drug out there. I'm not saying don't drink, like any other thing, just do it responsibly or you'll be in for a bad time.

    There have always been drug addicts and alcoholics.. in the past there are flop houses they could go and get a bed for like $10 a night.. and there were tons and tons of cheap hotels.. today the cost of shelter is ridiculous.. the rental industry has lost its mind.. and is completely out of touch with reality in our current economic situation the rents about twice as high as it should be.. especially for what Portland has to offer.. people need to get off their butts.. and start protesting these apartment complexes.. rental companies.. and real estate companies.. to get the cost down.. put them under pressure..

    There needs to be a frank conversation on whether these people are homeless due circumstances or is it a lifestyle choice. When they are interviewed it is really common to hear I have been homeless for ten plus years. This whole housing first thing is just moving this stuff out of sight. Do you think that all this toxic behavior is going to stop because they are inside.

    Both sides are suffering. But billionaires are not suffering! The increase in billionaires creates an insuperable vacuum of poverty that robs all public services drastically. A million seconds is about 11 days. A billion seconds is more than 35 years. That difference in terms of money causes the “have yachts” to hog a massively unfair share of society’s resources from the “have nots.” Younger generations are getting smarter by the day! They won’t take it lying down!!!!

      That may be true but they're being intrusive and they're doing things that the neighbors and the law say are not good. IE drugs, going to the bathroom out in the open so now it stinks and is a biohazard. If they know the neighborhood doesn't like it, why don't they just move their vehicles.
