Being a hardline atheist is rather unscientific. I tend to take an agnostic stance on religion because i keep my beliefs open. Being an atheist is proclaiming that you know without a doubt that there is not a God(s) so you are without belief. Jerusalem was retaken but since the walls had been torn down by the Ayyubids it was an indefensible position.

I.e land disputes and infighting. That weakened the kingdom of god letting the saracen heathen horde gain purchase in christian lands. @@KP3droflxp that's not true, if you find resemblences with other germanic languages in words, then it won't be hard to understand at least 80% of Middle High German in comparison to High German, you just have to listen closely and read the lyrics.

Jerusalem was retaken but since the walls had been torn down by the Ayyubids it was an indefensible position.

Not only does that make much more sence, as the song is pro-Jesus and anti-Pagan, but literally the original German says "heiden", which means, well, heathens/pagans. Remember, these singers are Hungarian, and dont speak English natively, and so they didnt know how to say the word "heathen".
