Here in the states it lists for a shade over $15K. Once you had freight, prep and delivery charges it’s closer to $17K before any dealer add ones. As one magazine writer noted, HD has made a pretty good overpriced Honda.

It’s definitely cool and a much needed update. It’s a shame they cant sell even one model of the old Sportster alongside it. The Sportster was the last modern Harley with the “old school” engine. The bigger Harley’s with the M8 motor have cylinder shutoff, etc. so imo the last old-school one was the sporty

I actually dig the bike. But it’s a $9,000 bike, not the absurd price they’re asking (before more absurd dealer markups).

I thought it would be the new cheap harley replacing the great iron 883. Sorry I'm not paying 13k for a bike that will need a better exhaust straightaway so 14k. If it was 9k they would be flying out of the dealerships. Also I think the Honda Rebel 1100 is the better bike (in my opinion)

It is a $12,000 bike... but, otherwise, I feel like you do about it.
At $13,500 for the base.... I don't see an "out the door" price under $15,500 at any Harley dealership.
At those prices.... something like a Z900 RS SE or a XSR900 SE looks like a better deal to me...

need forwared controls setup for sure like on the sporsters S. way to short if your 6' tall. Handlebars were nice for the seat position.

I test rode one of these and it's a very good ride. Was very impressed with the handling, preformance, and features. It fell short for me on styling and reliability. After the initial test ride the bike started leaking transmission fluid. I ended up with an Indian Scout Rogue. The handling was almost as good as the Nightster but styling and reliability were much better.
The Nightster isn't a terrible bike by any means but they need to improve the styling, maybe blackout the engine or something. At that price point it's going to be a tough sell.

You can sure tell that the engineers weren't riders. They put the lock for the seat on the left hand side to actually put the gas in, on the right hand side. The foot pegs are tiny. For me the exhaust touches my inside leg while holding it up. It just doesn't have the soul of a Harley for me. This motor would be great in a Triumph Bonneville.
