Excellent video. Here in Louisiana there are ZERO trains, very limited bus, and no other transport. If you do not have a car, gas powered, you cannot go anywhere. We are light years behind China. Good grief.
I watched a video yesterday about a girl from the USA who drank some alcohol and drove his car, and they took her driving license and she had 2 jobs, I mean they ruined her life because there was no other way of transportation. Looking at it another way, it is good, because the United States itself is digging its own grave faster because by affecting its citizens in their jobs, this is one more grain of sand that affects the US economy, which is good because the sooner The US falls and China becomes first in everything, better for the entire planet, but obviously a shame for the girl and all the people who have the same thing happen to her. Another way for the US to dig its own grave faster is to separate food for rich and poor, the rich can buy "organic" foods but the poor are forced to buy the cheapest stuff full of carcinogenic pesticides and GMO chemicals, this way the US "cleans" and reduces poverty, killing its poor. Also with fentanyl.
Reanne and Ben have fun in Guangzhou. Food will be great to try. If you guys taking bullet train there a service of fast delivery for food but is base on your next station. Order food on the train
if you set up the transport mini-app, you don't need to buy tickets every time for public transport. it will generate a qr code you can scan to enter the metro/bus/etc and charge you accordingly when you scan out.
Your video is amazing. Next time when you are in Guilin, you could have a day tour to Yangshuo，the scenery there is mind blowing. Hope you have wonderful trip in China.
If you stay long enough, you can find some short-term rental serviced apartments for half a month, which is not expensive, and have your own washing machine and kitchen, you can try to cook some simple food.

not 100pc sure but i think you can use your alipay - transport (where you see didi) there should be an option for subway . there you get a qr code to use the subway instead of getting a token from the vending machine. GREAT video guys - oh , keep the foil closed to keep the heat in when making that pot-noodle .
There is some setup needed for every city they visit, it is simple if they can read Chinese, but since they cannot, it would be easier to just buy a ticket like they were already doing.
Not much to set up, just click on transport. It should automatically bring up the local transport app automatically based on your current location. Confirm a few more things from the pop-ups and they should link up and a qr code will be generated.
Next time you can go to Yangshuo from Guilin, but take the ferry. Its not the fastest route but the scenery is amazing. Just make sure you have a jacket as it can get cold on the Li river.

No sure someone has commented before but when you eat instant noodles, add hot water to the waterline (there is a faint line inside the cup and you added to little water) and keep the lid closed for a few minutes before eating. Ben said al dante that's because you are not doing it properly.
I don't know what the QR codes on the headrest are for but on the QR codes on armrests are for ordering food and probably other stuff too. I was on the bullet train back in September and I used Alipay app to scan the armrest QR code and was able to order food. The food you get are not the food on the train. Once I scanned the QR Code, I selected something like "Online Ordering" (sorry, I couldn't remember exactly). If you are supposed to get off on the 2nd stop, then you would pick the name of the 1st stop. Obviously, if you are getting off on the 1st stop then you wouldn't be able to order anything. After I selected the name of the 1st stop, I saw a list of restaurants. I picked McDonald and ordered 2 taro pies. We don't have taro pie in Canada, so I ordered that, so good. You would have to fill out a few information, like your name (I only put my first name), car/coach number, seat number etc., then pay for the order. When you reached the 1st stop, someone would bring the food onto the train and a train attendant would deliver your order to your seat. My taro pies were delivered to my seat about 5 minutes after the train took off to the next station. Note: When you order your food, you must make sure you give enough time for the restaurant to make your food and deliver to your train. Not sure how much time. I tried to order something for my aunt who was on the same train as me and when she press PAY, it said something like "not enough time" so her order did not go through. We spent 20 days visit China and still want to go back for more. Thank you for sharing your videos. Enjoy China! 😀
I was there yesterday. Guangzhou is not as modern compared to Beijing or Shanghai. Don't travel on the metro between 5pm to 7pm. The train is cramped with people rushing and pushing their way through. Traffic is terrible. Enjoy your Guangzhou holiday.

Both of you are very fortunate to be able to freely use your cameras to make videos of your travels in China. Unfortunately, in the UK, even at "touristy" or public places, our common experiences were we were often rudely told to stop filming by your fellow Britons. They bluntly told us that they suspected that we foreigners were "collecting" information for some reasons in their country and that they did not want to be in the background or seen in the videos. They remained very suspicious and hostile despite our explanations. Could you explain this xenophobia ?
Since you guys are in China, probably is time to visit DJI or GoPro to get better camera. Whenever you enter a place with low lights density the video quality drop.... experience DJI (where US government wanting to ban) tech and also GoPro cameras.

We travel recently on the bullet train and went into a tunnel for 20 minutes traveling at 260klms per hour, God knows how long that tunnel is 😊😊
