I have had this and a bunch of the KS addon packs, haven't started painting it yet, but I'm thinking the slap chop method may produce a cool look on this set.
I agree, I think I’ve gotta give that a go. Hastur is huge AND yellow, this could be a real chore :D look forward to seeing how fast I can tick it off ✅
This is a great game, so be sure to give it a play. Setup is fast and game play goes quickly. There are a few fiddly things, but once you get the game sequence down, it plays smoothly. I had very low expectations for this game and it really shocked me how good it was. It's a bit like Mansions of Madness 2nd edition, but plays without an app and is much quicker.
Dude, thanks for taking the time to let me know this!!! I too have really low expectations, - I wasn’t even backing it, and it was our Patreons that made it happen. I’ll be sure to actually try playing this now instead of just painting it
I love the idea of painting them monochrome or sepia-ish... Would be incredible to see how to do that.... It would give the whole 20s setting a nice push and would make it stand out a lot more in my opinion...
@@WatchItPaintIt Yes very easy to play but you really need to work has a team to get the job done other wise you run out of time. We would give it a rating of 8/10 easy probably 9
@@WatchItPaintIt I do ... That was my first thought - then I saw how the contrast came out on the smaller one and that looks good - I've not put the contrast through the air brush yet -
I bet contrast through the airbrush doesn’t work, I imagine it’s harder to done 1 thick coat or have it pool as it needs to? Be happy to be wrong though, so let me know if I am! Yeah defo smash a pic on Patreon, I have seen some pics online but I think you’re the only patreon I know of with him. Fair few DmD backers on it but I think everyone chickened our :-D
They are still hard plastic. Possibly slightly softer than GW. But things like weapons and tentacles do bend and bounce back. Think they would normally snap for GW?
My Kickstarter pledge of this just arrived today. I'm really looking forward to getting stuck into painting it. I much prefer painting monsters to painting people.

I think it might be sweet too. I might try and paint one group of them like that to see for the channel
Get the Giabt Cthulhu. You should paint it, even if it takes you an eternity, I would watch it.

What sort of plastic are the figures made from? Is it relatively soft/bendy or hard/rigid... like, say compared to GW figures?
