I loved this there will never be a time like the 70s I had great flash back memories from watching this from start to finish, I feel lucky to have experienced growing up through those times. it can only be remembered or viewed through movies like this. but never duplicated.

Tim Curry really shows off his acting ability. He is amazing in this. Unfortunately he still has traces of a British accent but he probably got the role on short notice but his monolog about New York shows his uncanny ability to use body language. The only other downside is I still see Frank N Furter, which isn't his fault. But he more than makes up for it by carrying every scene.

It's like Terminator: Salvstion, in which Australian actor Sam Worthington used an American accent and his Australian accent comes out in a pivotal scene. My American friends noticed it as well.

Let's be honest. Tim is not a great actor (he is basically campy overacting Frank'n' Furter everywhere) - but he has huge charisma, the looks and voice that make women moist and turn his fans into the most loyal and rabid pack out there.
I kind of agree in a way, although I’m hardly complaining because the Frank N Furter persona suites him well. It also must have been difficult for him to step away from that character while playing other ones since he played him sooo many times and for quite a while. Not to mention a lot of the other stuff he was in around the time required him to be seductive and charming, which Frank was, so he was probably his safety net of sorts.
well no not really. of course a lot of his characters he plays them with charisma and seductiveness but i don’t think pennywise was made to be a sexy new yorker and make the ladies moist and pennywise was a good character.
