@@kimquinn7728I love the man so much. I wonder if he knows how many people just adore him. I was dressing in RHPS costumes and the whole deal in the 70s, then my children got to know him in Clue and Home Alone 2. He's honestly a true gem.
Tim Curry is the only actor to properly portray Franknfurter. Every nuance from start to finish in RHPS was epic. Yeah, back in the day, I was one who got all made up and dressed up on Friday nights for the midnight showing for the audience participation while the movie was going on. We had such a great time and fondest memories. Just listening to the first couple notes of the starting song puts the biggest smile on my face. Great times.
David Bedella wasn't too bad and he even in a way reminded me of Tim at times, but I agree that Tim is a unique entity in all roles he performs. There will never be another quite like him.
I used to say the exact same thing! But then I saw Craig McLachlan star as Frank in the Rocky Horror Show and he genuinely blew me away with his performance. No-one can ever supplant Tim Curry, of course, Tim is the king. But there are absolutely other actors out there who also bring a lot to the role and are worth seeing too.
Tim Curry was considered for the role of Judge Doom in Who Framed Roger Rabbit instead of Christopher Lloyd, but they thought he was too scary, but I personally think he would have done better than Lloyd. Tim Curry was also considered to voice Scar in the Lion King, but he was too busy, but imagine if he just did the singing voice for Scar during the song Be Prepared while Jeremy Irons still did the speaking voice!
@@silence6813 He sure is! He voiced a few Disney Afternoon villains such as Taurus Bulba in Darkwing Duck and the Evil Manta in the Little Mermaid series and for animated movie villains, he voiced Hexxus in FernGully: The Last Rainforest, Drake in the Pebble and the Penguin and Rex Pester in the Rugrats Movie! Tim Curry occasionally voices good guys in cartoons such as Nigel Thornberry.
He owned my nightmares when I was a child lol but I do love this actor. Now that I am an adult with adult fears I kinda miss my childhood fears of monsters and … evil clowns 😅!! Amazing actor all around ❤
I had the absolute joy of working with Tim on a bunch of animated shows, I've worked with hundreds of actors in my long career and he is absolutely the most talented and versatile, I so wish I could have done some Shakespeare with him.
Hi Geraldine. What an amazing experience to have worked with Tim. He is such an incredible talent. He owns every scene he is in. I just watched him in his first feature film in 8 years last night. A horror called Stream just released to digital. It was so good to see him back up on film where he belongs!! ❤ @geraldineclarke5434
RHPS is the stupidest movie I’ve ever seen. And I love it still. It’s weird, wacky, campy shit and the talent in it is just so so good. Not just Tim, but all the leads in it. But Tim Curry is just iconic in it and he gives it hell for the whole film. He’s a crazy person and I will always love everything he’s done because I love his commitment to this absurd role in this absurd film. And I hope he’s doing well these days. I know he had a rough spell a while back.
You guys worked very well in this interview. He handled all the questions well, and sincerely...and the smile at the end when you complimented him looked genuine. - very good job! Thanks for sharing.
First thing I saw Tim in was 'Blue Money' - where he plays a taxi driver who finds a suitcase of money in his car. Loved his performances through the years and I'm so sorry that his health has deteriorated so drastically ❤😢
He's still around, but admittedly in poor health, and incapable obviously of most of the acting possibilities that were available to him before his stroke. But he remains a phenomenal talent, and we'll always have the films, TV shows, and records to which he contributed so indelibly.
Terrible to see him now with his face and Body devastated by Ictus... Can't say how much i miss the Smiling ,Charming, Handsome man as he appears here😔
Rocky Horror Picture Show without Tim Curry Would not have been the same. It definitely wouldn't have been as Popular or Successful. Although I think it kinda bombed at first and developed a Huge Cult Following Shortly After.
He had appeared in some television productions before then, but yes, 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' was his first feature film. What a way to break into the business!

I remember this guy when he played Will Shakespeare back in the UK many moons ago. A series called 'Will'. Since going to America i think he lost it. He sold his soul for money......and cheap beach front property.
Tim just oozes charisma. So enjoy seeing him.
The joy in his face when he hears Home Alone 2 is pretty funny. Love Tim
Probably because hes glad its not another Rocky Horror reference
Yes I was wanting here him say stolen credit card let's see what police have say about this lol or extra large pizza competence of.plasa hotel
His laugh, smile, imitation of the child at seeing him in an airport, Priceless.
He also has a very warm personality. He is a treasure.

Pall Oskar Hjalmtysson the Icelandic cast. He is the only other actor I’ve seen to match Tim Curry.
Nobody can play any of his roles the way he did he’s absolutely smashing 😂
Heard "absolutely smashing" in Nigel Thornberry's voice.
I met him at Burbank airport in the 90s he was friendly and pleasant.
I love tim curry SO MUCH
Thats what he said to kevin mccallister.
I adore the man.
His impression of a scared little kid is pitch perfect

I like original scar tho
Tim Curry, no matter the film, gives it he's all. Home Alone, It, Annie, Clue, Legend and Rocky Horror
The Three Musketeers as well. As bad as it is, Tim was perfect for the evil Cardinal Richelieu.
He really is one of those rare people who can do anything all of his roles are amazing he can turn his hand to anything
Nobody mentions Hunt for Red October. that movie was a talent Woodstock.
We Love You Tim.
That grin! That evil, wicked, devilishly delightful grin. I could watch him and listen to that velvety voice for hours! ❤
This is a brilliant interview! I adore Tim Curry so much!

I loved the movie Clue as a kid. I need to watch it as an adult. Rocky Horror is one of my favorite movies.
Just his grin alone would have made his Joker Epic.
Phenomenal voice actor aswell, brought Emperor Doviculus in Brutal legend to life
His role in Home Alone 2 is great. He steals that movie every time he shows up. One of my favorite performances by him.
The fade in from the Grinchs grin getting bigger to his grin getting bigger still gets me everytime

I would love to see the fourth, unused, ending of Clue. It sounds so interesting!

He's 'IT' after all, but there's that music as well, and all that goes to Richard O'Brien.
