Highlights from the First Week of Aerial Recovery’s Rescue Operations Post-Hurricane Helene

The storm caused record-breaking floods, with the French Broad River cresting over a foot and a half higher than its previous record, and over 100 lives were lost across the state. Aerial Recovery has been on the frontlines, delivering life-saving aid and helping survivors recover.
Aerial Recovery’s team is composed of veterans and first responders who have completed the Heal the Heroes program. This year-long initiative focuses on healing and repurposing these heroes, transforming them into Humanitarian Special Operators who deploy on disaster relief missions worldwide. These operators bring a unique combination of military experience and humanitarian service to provide critical support during natural disasters like Hurricane Helene.
