Happy valentines guys! One question tho, when are you gonna react to No game no life? Muhehehe
I jwill just point out that the 4 Cardinal Legendary Weapons allow you to understand any spoken language and to be understood by anyone with your words that you speak out loud. They do not let you read the written words of another language. It is very likely that Spear boy hasn't bothered to learn the language yet like Naofumi has. Naufumi was motivated to learn the language to learn magic, the other heroes were given crystal balls to learn magic from so they did not have the need to learn it. Even if they decide to learn the language, they will not have the same level of motivation to do so as Naofumi has, so I think spear boy probably wouldn't know what was even written their and would just trust whatever malty said.
This part was not in the Light Novel, which I ready, so it was probably added first in the Manga, so this is pure speculation on my part. If I knew specifics about this, I would not spoil you, but since I don't and I am just guessing, it's safe to say this much.

Most people don’t notice it because it’s a small detail but when naofumi shouts for everyone to cover their ears raphtalia doesn’t put her hands on the side of her head, but on the top because that’s where her ears are.

Last episode, the witch suggested that Raphtalia study illusion magic. That's where she learned that ability.
Don't forget the Queen. False accusations are not gonna work anymore. Also the witch was with them. They have a witness.
Not to mention Naofumi has been helping people around the countryside with his wares. Not out of altrusism, but that's not how the ones he assisted will tell the story. His reputation is sure to be restored, also he's gaining allies in the Blacksmith, the Witch, and even the Slave Trader.

The seed the spear hero planted is actually a monster and destroys several villages. The dragon that was slain becomes a zombie and goes on to terrorise adventurers and local folks. And the bow hero is going around “serving his justice”. Naofumi ends up cleaning up all of their mess, the one with the dragon is especially important cuz naofumi finally was able to use his curse series

So the spear hero did visit the same cave, but already knew about what was in the chest and the power of hallucinations that the bat monster there had, but he never came across any bats. There's a part where Motoyasu gets separated from the rest of his party, and he happens to overhear them talking behind his back, but he thinks it's just the bat gengar at work. Based on who is in his party, it's not hard to imagine what kind of gossip was being discussed. This is a side story that was a bonus chapter at the end of one of the visual novels.

@@kanekisasaki942 keep in mind that they could still tell part of the story in the next chapter, but here we go SPOILER ALERT (this happens before the first wave).
Myne tells Motoyasu that they have a new quest in which they have to guard a carriage with food for a village with a famine. After hearing that, Motoyasu remembers that there was a similar quest in the game he used to play. After capturing some bandits and sharing food with the villagers, he decides to go to a nearby dungeon to pick up an item that will help combat the famine. When you entered the dungeon, you had to light some candles and before the candles burned out, you had to defeat a golem at the back of the dungeon.
When they defeated the golem and were about to pick up the seed, the floor was shaking indicating that they failed the quest. this happened because Motoyasu didn't explain to his party the importance of the candles, so Myne thought that they didn't need the candles and blew them out, after that they fell underground and Motoyasu got separated from his party but he heard a conversation between his party members . This is the exact dialogue from the novel:
"that stupid guy needs to explain himself. You know?"
"He only looks at our boobs and butts. It gives me the willies"
"He drew on my face when I was sleeping! he needs to learn his place" (he tried to make a joke to Myne previously)
"But he's easy to use because he's stupid. He's got money, and he's a hero, so we can do whatever we want"
"I know"
"Even still, that thing yesterday? no way!"
"My poor tongue. That terrible food from his world was disgusting" (he tried to cook for his party previously)
"I know"
He thought that it was imposible to his party say those words, so he blamed the monster.
This extra chapter shows that Motoyasu is just stupid and he thinks with his dick, but Mayne is the real evil in there.

Speaking of Motoyasu's cooking, I'm not sure if it's in the visual novel, but I read the web novel first, and there's a part where the heroes do a collaboration, where they switch party members to see how each hero and their party fights. When it's Motoyasu's turn to team up with Filo and Raphtalia, he cooks some food for them to try to impress them, but Filo comments how much better Naofumi's cooking is, which really grinds Motoyasu's gears. All the false praise he got from Myne and the other girls, never gave him the drive to improve his cooking or look for a spear variant, that improved his cooked food quality, like the cooking shield Naofumi has.
Based on how much they're cutting out of the anime, I doubt this side story will make it into the mainline series of episodes. It could appear as an anime OVA, but at this point in time, I think most viewers aren't interested in learning more about Motoyasu at all, or Myne specifically since she's in his party.

Fun fact: None of the heroes can read any of this new worlds language, except the shield because he’s learning the language to do spells. While the other heroes use a special orb that lets them automatically learn spells.
One of the things I love about this show is that I kind of makes sense how it all happens, the only way I'd bother myself to learning the world's language is if I was suck in Naofumi's position.

Holy crap! It never occurred to me that the secret crop was the one the spear hero took from that cave! I wonder what’s going to happen to the starving village he “supposedly” saved.
Can't be hungry if your dead. Plus blood, guts and ground up bones make for wonderful fertiliser that is why certain types of nitrate fertiliser are made from fish guts and bone meal. Put some of that on a field you'll restore the soil pretty fast. Same principle should work with human mass slaughter.

In the original material, filo was turned into a slave because she wasn't obeying naofumi and causing a lot of trouble, it was a way of training her or something

BTW, Filo seems to sense something in the different direction in the tunnel toward the Nue. But she was distracted by the illusion voice of Naofumi by the Bats to discard her before she could inform the real Naofumi. Not sure if they will come back to this place next time or not. Not sure if anyone noticed that Raphtalia is also Shizu Delta (シズ・デルタ / CZ2128・Δ) from Overlord. BTW, Naofumi is Hekkeran Termite leader of Foresight in Overlord III, and Genos from OPM. Filo is Milim from Slime. The Slave merchant is Genma from Ranma 1/2.

Also you're forgetting, the other 3 heroes knew this world as a game. So the items they find, the monsters they kill, ect... they already know the locations and the "quests" that people are offering. So they know where to find the items to complete the quest and all that. It's why Ren knew exactly where that dragon was to fight it, why Motoyasu knew where the seed was to "save" the starving people in the south, ect....

Finally a episode that Naofumi is not suffering.
Since you guessed enough I will add a little more. Not just the spear hero. Bowman did remove a ruler from power, but... and the swordsman did slay an evil dragon, but... when you find out what those three are responsible for you should not view them in a bad light but rather an irresponsible one. all 3 lack the foresight to realize the consequences of there actions to the world around them; that leads to events spiraling out of control despite it being starving people fed/an evil dragon slain/ and a corrupt Noble brought low. I wont say more so the series can show what I exactly mean.

Tbh their irresponsibility was proven in episode 3 when the wave hit. They just rush the boss, kill it and call it a day. Ignoring the possibility that there could still be monsters around and that the village in the near proximity is literally burning.
Raphtalia’s been studying that magical grimiore they got from the magic shop in episode 5. In episode 5 in the scene where Naofumi wakes her up to see Filo hatch it shows her asleep on the book.
This episode had a lot to it. One of my favorite parts seems to be overlooked by the reaction videos. In the Slave Trader’s tent when the creepy guy is assessing Filo Raphtalia steps in between him and Filo in protective big sis mode. I love that. It’s a small gesture, but meaningful and shows that despite some feelings of jealousy Raphtalia really cares for her.

Filo in this dress looks like Angel Flonne from Disgaea.
The author of the light novel is a big fan of Disgaea and final fantasy. Filo's species are based on Chocobo's and she and another character are loosely based on Flonne. They are basically the authors fan fic charterers rolled over and given main plots in the story.

@@grimthefalln129 It was before she got the slave crest ..they completely cut out that part including mentioning that normal seals like what Raftalia had was too weak to control Filo, and the slave crest he used was a higher tier (hence more expensive).

Hunter x Hunter is my favourite anime so I am glad you guys will react to it.
I guess this is how the light novels went down. Raphtalia didn't get left behind in the carriage like in the manga, so I guess that's one of the many things that changed between LN and manga.
Probably be the closest we can get Flonne from Disgaea animated.
Raphtalia is the fighter-rogue-assassin like party member while Firo is the transportation, heavy hitter, and magic nuker at the same time lol. Oh and she's useful for intimidating bandits and kicking Spear Hero's balls too.

Naofumi's book shield achieves this by absorbing his medium-level medicinal recipe book and gets that shield and his bonus is the mid-level potions making skill and the ability to maximize the effect of the potions is obtained when raphtalia kills the mushroom-type monsters that were in cap 2 thanks to that, Naofumi saves Raphtalia from his illness that is supposed to be deadly
Fun fact: When Ainz/Momonga heard rumours of the Wise King of the Forest, he thought the beast might be a nue.

one silver has some value, id say its about equivalent to $50, so the amount wasn't outrageous, like when spear hero wanted to charge 50 silvers just to enter or leave a village... that is like charging $2500 just to leave your house, so i understand why the villagers asked for Noafumi's help

Tofu is correct. The reason the spear hero and the princess didn't know is because the warning tablet was written in an ancient language that only the witch could translate but i like Tofu giving him the benefit of the doubt.
Also, another point to take into account is that the shield hero owns the deed for the mountain thanks to that trader, so besides being blamed for being the last one in, it is also Noafumi's property now

There's a lot that the Anime is cutting out content wise from the Novel. So there's stuff not being explained at all. It's not mattered too much really but there's some key stuff they haven't explained at all. Especially about Naofumi's new shields and stuff.

The spear hero didn't know the seed was bad news because he never bothered to learn the common language something that Naofumi was forced to do because he has to translate the grimoire he received in the last episode.
Minor spoiler, but it has already been adresed in a sense , the Spear Hero gave out the seed because as naofumi said he can't read the letters of this world, my guess is that the princess mistranslated the warning on purpose because by the time the vilagers would feel the ill effects of the seed the good deed would have already been made known,same as when she failed to tell him that a 50 silver tax fee is impossible to be payed by the common people.
Not necessary, it may also be the fact that this world look really similar like the game Motoyasu used to play.
Such a thing, if already known by the royalty, would have been taken by the authorities.
But, yeah. His party members didn't read that warning for him.

It was probably a lot simpler and innocent then her telling him not to worry... who ever said she could read the warning or even would in the first place. It really could be as simple as she only knew it was magic and prevented starvation, shes all about the immediate gain so why look into it more.
