No, took the bike to two different dealers and they both kept it for over 3 weeks each, replaced a bunch of parts and it still did not fix. With all the other issues and this one, the bike spent more than 3 months at the dealer and ruined my riding season. I had to sell the bike to buy something more reliable.
sometimes there are some interference between the key and the gauge display. (doesn't matter if you have have it in your pocket.) When this happens to me I never use the kill switch to turn on/off the bike. I used the main power button at the tank. hold the key very near the gauge display, you can actually reach your hand all the way behind the gauge display unit and hold it there and press the on button, 9/10 this will turn on the bike with no problems. I've had this issue many times in certain places when there's high interference.
