At 150 bucks that cable should be a crime.

This IEM is giant killer, even IEMs that cost 10 times more can't compare in terms of comfort and sound.

I have just about seen every review on the ie 200 that is out there and there is a lot of mixed reviews i just went ahead and purchased them and tried several after market ear tips on them and ended up using comply t -400 tips and they sounded great to me ,don’t let nobody decide for you on how an iem should sound let your ears decide for you and i will admit they feel very cheep compared to the chifi iems that i own but the ie 200 sound better to me this just my preference and opinion i dont expect everybody or anybody to agree with me ,you decide for your self !!!!!!

Surprisingly great review. Thank you. Not interested in IE200 as I already have IE600 with color plastic removed to accommodate 3rd party MMCX cable and using Clarion tips. Sennheiser IEM accessories are awful even on their expensive models. Sennheiser, AKG ignoret the world of cables and tips of any price point and flavor that already exists and flourishes.

You should do a review about volumes. For higher volumes we required a low upper mids and treble iem. For medium volume we require a more boosted upper mids and treble. And low volumes we require something that is famous from kz. Upper mids and treble boosted. I have 75 iem from 15 bucks to 1000 dollars. And its hard to find my tuning in an iem. Funny that I found for higher volumes the shozy form 1.1 and hola and 7hz sero a good tuning for loud volumes. Funny that reviewers give reviews and all chifi is building iem with that tuning, and they forgot that metal and rock guys always listen to blasting volumes, and we require something more warm with fewer treble picks. The reviewers should review iem and say. This is great for this volumes . And not great for these volumes of dB example . So people will know what volumes they listen. But nobody does. Super audio reviews , he listen to music at low volumes . Then people like myself buy. Blast the volume and its crap. Why they don't say and why iem brands don't do switches on iem foe volume tuning , instead of bass.balance etc. My opinion

It's been 3 months since I bought them I don't know why but they sound magical for my ears. I don't like the eargain in the 2khz - 6khz region as that make the iem's shouty for me and these sound perfectly for me as that region is toned down a bit. I have used the truthear hexa as well and i feel that the ie200 are league's ahead of the hexa and I feel like they are the prefect iem's for my ears. Another reason for that is my ears are small so they really maxinize the comfort for me and the overall sound signature is outstanding for me. Btw i am 17yrs old and the upper treble is perfectly fine for me. Also I am using it with shanling ua4 and an aftermarket 4.4mm balanced cable but even with the stock cable and a cheap dongle dac its really good. Also in India truthear hexa is for 7500rs and ie200 for 10000rs and I will anyday recommend the ie200 over hexa.

I'm just glad that those Big Audio brands are nothing but a laughing stock for me now (and a source of entertainment content for youtubers)

  • @roveism

Wow, great review, seriously, theres so many reviewers that just dont talk about the cons, and these cons are real life hassles of owning the product, thanks for such a banger of a review, the Treble spike is a PAIN IN THE ASS and I'm 40 yrs old... <3

Another fantastic video. The change in the vibe is both refreshing, as well as fitting for the content. Amazing job as always, buddy.

Good Review. Agree. I bought it and feel like I want to return it back. If it goes on sale for 100, I'd pick it up again.

  • @michaeldl49

I bought this knowing I can return it if I don't like it. I can say that regarding cable microphonics I didn't find any noise ore interference while walking or moving about listening to music. Also I didn't experience the cable detaching or loose. I compared it to my other iems and that thin cheap cable was not an issue. It's true about that first nudge. The tips can be better, so I also ordered the DUNU S and S tips and the base now sounds incredible. The IE200 are small and very confortable for extended use and the sound is very godd as far as I''m concerned. So I'm keeping them. I'm also betting a better quality balanded cable and use a DAC dongle for my iPhone for even better more powerful sound. I do have a bluetooth DAC that I use with my other iems and quality is amazing. I think you may have a bad one, but it's hard to believe coming from Sennheiser German quality.

My IE600 also came with a loose connection for one side, but Sennheiser replaced my pair under warranty. It's a shame they didn't fix this tolerance issue with the IE200 either, let alone the rest of the family. The cables from the rest of the family are already microphonic (but usable), so it's appalling that they cheaped out even further on the cable for the IE200.

I have been having the time of my life with the 7hz zero because of your recommendation (crin had not reviewed them until the time i ordered them)

  • @Betelgeusewaitforit

Bro, valid points.. I just committed the crime and ordered these. I have a KZ zx10 Pro (ChiFi - marvel), Sennheiser HD599se [They say it's borderline audiophile; I say plug it into a decent dac capable of driving 150 ohm cans and let it hit you]; Sony XM4s, usual suspects with a emphasis on value. [my XM4s are a premium set and with LDAC I love it]

Happened to the right side of my unit. Occasionally, it just cuts off, aftermarket cables for the ie200 can be as cheap as 20 dollars.
