The vertical pan at 0:36 looks way worse than the rest. I think the original is just vector art, and should be rendered at 4k instead of making something out of the original PAL DVD version with AI sharpening.
It seems the deinterlacing is at fault. This might have been an error already in the source with the field order being reversed in that particular shot since many other parts of the video are deinterlaced properly. I don't know, it's been ages since I saw it on TV. But it would be cool if H5 still has the original project files and were given the task to rerender the video in true 4K.
THANK YOU for preserving this treasure and making it better. Along with such an explanatory description. Have you thought about revisiting it with AI upscaling tech, like Topaz Video AI? Perhaps you can eke out even more quality!

There was another Röyksopp video (I think it was them) that featured all kinetic typography describing objects in a city involving a story about a couple speeding through the city in a taxi to get to the hospital while the wife was in labor. Does anyone remember the song?
