I don't know what more to ask for I was given just one wish Roads and getting nearer We cover distance, but not together I am the storm, and I am the wonder And the lashlights, nightmares And sudden explosion!
Oh please stop this bs! This song resonates with you because its a good song that resonates with A LOT of people - NOT because your grandmother was swedish. Only US people think like this : "Oh i am 5% italian, thats why i like pizza." Dude, i like Pizza and this song too and i am neither italian nor swedish. Heritage explains nothing. It is our environment who shapes who we are. Also there are a lot of swedish people who don't like Royksopp because they are more into Death Metal or Kang Punk or classic rock or Hip Hop or whatever. Not all people in Sweden are listening to Royksopp all day.
This song is my song with my bro who died of an overdose - we listened to it so many times in the dark - we left our vulnerabilities in that room - I miss him and wish my boys met him and wish he could have been ok in this life
She is… such an underrated vocalist. This is such an inedible, and beautiful song, I cried the first few times I listened in to to this one. Taste is subjective, but scent is not. Unfamiliar? Have a taste, but it won’t be accurate. But give a listen to the talent in display and “you will not forget”
This song has some amazing memories attached to it. So much nostalgia. I can't believe it has been this long, it doesn't feel like this time period was really over a decade ago.
the singer is the woman at the table, Karin Dreijer Andersson the lady singing is model Marianne Schröder The band is actually 2 guys Svein Berge &Torbjørn Brundtland

Been listening to this song for years and it STILL moves me as much as it did the first time I heard it. Very much a classic in my book, no doubt.
This song is my holy grail, i found it after 14 years of searching, when I finally found it, it was the same as i remember listening to it on the radio
So hypnotic, beautiful and magical ! 💖
After 12 long, tiring and frustrating years, I found this greatness
I hope you listen it very well to catch up the 12 years.
@@shishi82 3 min of it makes me catch up 30 years
It didn’t want to be found until you could relish in it deep within your being
It’s one of my all time favourites. Nothing as good as Royksopp.
I know exactly how you feel. It remembers me of my childhood where I would hear this song always on the radio. Quarantine and YT recommendations brought me here.
This song deserves more
Video, too. Perfection.
I adore this masterpiece of music! Plain and simple: Thank you Röyksopp!!
It was me on that road
But you couldn't see me
Too many lights out, but nowhere near here
It was me on that road
Still you couldn't see me
And then flash lights and explosions
Road's end getting nearer
We cover distance, but not together
I am the storm and I am the wonder
And the flashlights, nightmares
And sudden explosions
I don't know what more to ask for
I was given just one wish
It's about you and the sun
A morning run
The story of my maker
What I have and what I ache for
I've got a golden ear
I cut and I spear
But what else is there?
Roads and getting nearer
We cover distance, still not together
If I am the storm, if I am the wonder
Will I have flashlights, nightmares
And sudden explosion?
I don't know what more to ask for
I was given just one wish
Roads and getting nearer
We cover distance, but not together
I am the storm, and I am the wonder
And the lashlights, nightmares
And sudden explosion!
There's no room where I can go and
You've got secrets too
I don't know what more to ask for
I was given just one wish

@@markusf8372 And is she really Karin Dreijer? She always looks different, Knife, Fever Ray, or the clip is from the movie? and she is just the vocal here?
@@WalintHUN about 15 years ago we all looked at least a bit different 😆 And answering your question, yes, this is really Karin in the video
Definitely a timeless masterpiece.
@@LorgioPieper Esta canção específica, a vocalista é a Karin Dreijer Andersson
Here's one of the best magnificent songs I've ever heard, 15 years old and still simply magnificent.
I've loved this song for several years. Today, it rang so true I started to cry...What else is there?
a very dear friend of mine showed me this song and I'll never forget that. today it feels like a place where I can meet her every once in a while.
Goosebumps on top of goosebumps. So much emotions and deeper meaning. One of the best songs ever made 💙🎶
Holy hell, I heard this years ago but was never able to identify it. Just now ran across this by pure chance. This is good, weird but good.
SlamifiedBuddafied the second woman in the video is the one singing. Fever Ray.
lead singer of The Knife
I didn't even remember ever hearing it. Until hearing it. You get me?
@@clarkrogers7789 oh Keep the Streets Empty
One of the best songs ever made.
Wow. I can’t tell you what it feels like to find music like this, especially that old! Omg I missed so much!
I'VE BEEN SEARCHING THIS FOR 10 YEARSSSSS
You succeded!!!
The lyrics are such a trip and the instrumental manifests the feeling. 🖤
I seriously wish they would upload a better quality version of this! It's phenomenal!
Love it. I still replay this video. My grandmother that lived with me my entire childhood was Swedish. This just resonates eith me. ❤
Oh my goodness. This is the first time ever hearing this song/band i have chills right now
I haven't listened to this song in years, nor Royksopp. it's great hearing this lovely music again haha. quite tranquil.
Filomena told me where to find it
go listen to Pass this on by The Knife it compliments this era
Why am I only discovering this song today ? So beautiful
Luckily you found it. And lucky it will stay with you for a long time
If you like this you must listen to "what else is there royksopp trentemoller remix"
Essa música é linda
I envy u, sure it sux u missed it for so long but u just heard it so its beauty is new to u ☺️

Kisses from France.

Cantarolei a música pra achar 🤣
❤
This song is my song with my bro who died of an overdose - we listened to it so many times in the dark - we left our vulnerabilities in that room - I miss him and wish my boys met him and wish he could have been ok in this life
🙏🏻❤
Hard to read … hope you are ok!
❤️
So sorry Tony.
She is… such an underrated vocalist. This is such an inedible, and beautiful song, I
cried the first few times I listened in to to this one.
Taste is subjective, but scent is not. Unfamiliar? Have a taste, but it won’t be accurate. But give a listen to the talent in display and “you will not forget”
It's 2021 are you still alive?
"Inedible"
🤣
That's not the right word.

This song has some amazing memories attached to it. So much nostalgia. I can't believe it has been this long, it doesn't feel like this time period was really over a decade ago.
the singer is the woman at the table, Karin Dreijer Andersson
the lady singing is model Marianne Schröder
The band is actually 2 guys Svein Berge &Torbjørn Brundtland
oh wow, this is very true! Karin is the woman at the table! Why did they use Marianne then? :(
YES!! Also, Karin is the singer of The Knife. She has a very particular voice.
Thanks for the info!
Karin Dreijer Andersson aka Fever Ray
Wow ok that makes a lot more sense. When I first heard this I was sure it was Fever Ray because of the vocals.
I actually saw the songwriting credits recently, and it's Röyksopp, but Karin and her brother Olof are credited too. It sounds like lyrics that Karin would write.
When music is so good it keeps you coming back for more eleven years later♡
You're not kidding. It still stops me in my tracks and raises goosebumps... Fascinating storytelling with just a few breadcrumbs and some haunting melodies to follow.
Well I don't know what more to ask for. This song was my one wish.
Or even twelve years
Good music last forever.
Even 13 now!
The video is a masterpiece. Please remasterize in HD, Please!
