  • Last video, I compared the Rhodia hard cover to the Leuchtturm 1917 - well if you are disappointed that the hardcover dot grid only comes in black and orange, fear not. Here are COLORED dot grid notebooks from Rhodia - let's take a peek inside.

How funny is it that I just discovered you+ inkjet, and bureau direct and purchased my first rhodia. Fantastic review! Thanks!

Rhodia paper never fails me. They definitely have consistently great quality paper.
For future reference, Jetpens also carries all 16 colours and they're American.

Wow, Jessica, I've been pushing thru my softcover Notebook that shall not be named and I'm halfway thru so I can buy another and I was considering the Leuchturrm A5 dotted, and the Rhodia WebNotebook... Now you show me THIS?!?! With the lovely colors?!?! And the best paper ever?!?! 😳 *heads to the mentioned online shop*

You're so funny! Thanks for both reviews as it helped me make my decision Leuchtturm v Rhodia. So hard ... but at the end, I went with more pages and hopefully I won't be too disappointed in the ghosting. Also hoping Goulet Pens will carry the colored dot grids as I know I'll want one eventually. Appreciate your thorough, honest and hilarious commentary!

So I just started my Leuchtturm ... Jess, I HATE it ... the ghosting thing is real compared to my Peter Pauper Press ... I use Tombow markers to highlight and the show thru on the L and not at all on the PPP, so disappointed ... $20!!!! Anyway, I broke down and got the Rhodia lined and plan to use it for lists, meeting notes, etc. ... paper is to die for rich, and it doesn't ghost as much, at least I can highlight w/out seeing it on the other side! Thanks for "listening", the ghosting thing is REAL and now I am off to write PPP to offer color for their Essentials :)

Alba Rodríguez Collantes I use a small and large format notebook to practice writing with my right hand - my favored is left for ordinary writing like checks/registers .

Hey! I found a great website called cultpens.com that is also a UK centered site but offers a lot of different versions and colors of the soft color rhodia. It has way more than bureaudirect! It's a little more pricey shipping internationally so it's an investment but if you like bigger color ranges or live in the UK it's a better option! Hope you read this!

Rhodia notepads come in white, too! But only lined and graph, not grid =P Loving the videos, Jessica! Keep it up!

I died when you turned the page! Nothing there! My L, which I do love bc it makes so much sense, does show stuff on the other side, and that does bug me as I go to all the trouble of making something nice on one side and its ruined when I do something on the next page. So yes., I got a smaller R, as a companion to my L which is too heavy for porting all day long, bc I wanted to try the brand. I loved the R paper at first touch, and its so great with pens and pencils, and the cover's colour (lavender with orange ribbon and a printed inside cover, very pretty) and that darn paper, its just a cut above (mine is the sketch version). The store I went to, was low on the styles of the Rhoda but promises to bring in the dot grid.. Although I do love the page numbering with the Leuchttrum and all the extra details, they are both special, so I am not going to switch, instead, why choose? I will honour both brands equally! Thanks for sharing. C

Yes, I have my eye on it, I saw one in the same lavender with orange, so pretty, but I can't swing that now. As you probably know, there is a lot of $$$ going out when you love something like this, all the pens and supplies, etc. I want to use up my L before I purchase my next one. The tombows don't seem to go through, and I am enjoying using the L with watercolours. The whole concept is great fun. Thanks.

Hi! I'm just wondering if you've come across really white paper that's comparable to Rhodia paper?

I just bought this one but the XL version of this now in Fall 2021 ... However, I like an advice before I break it open... I made the decision to write with a Rotring Rapid 2 mm mechanical lead PENCIl !!
How will a pencil work on the Rhodia's smooth paper surface!?
I am also left handed and that is why I am concerned, I do put my palm in my text and smudge out some pens...
So my question is if I made the wrong choice for a pencil to choose a notebook with such a smooth surface paper as this one!?
-Will the lead pencil get stuck on the surface of such paper as this notebook has and just get all smudgy when I begin writing page after page!?
Should I leave this notebook back to the store and if so what notebook is best for lead pencils!? I was thinking it was a great idea as I like to sketch using lead pencils and graffiti of different kinds as well as write with pencils... I am going to Bullet Journal with this book...
hope someone with professional experience can advice me right!
Thanks for taking your time to read all this 😀
    cheers from Sweden ! 🇸🇪

Thanks for sharing! Do you have any other recommendations for soft cover notebooks by chance that don't have the elastic band and are lined? :)

Nice but I hate orange with a fiery padding. I won't buy anything with so much orange
