    I like how nice he was about rejecting the Intel stock cooler. I would have made tossing it into the garbage part of the tutorial lol

    • @thomasdamiani3400
      @thomasdamiani3400 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I'm new to PC building, is the intel stock cooler really that bad for an i5 7500?

    • @gamerjetic4101
      @gamerjetic4101 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      no its fine

    • @TacticalPower88
      @TacticalPower88 7 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Stock cooler is all you need for the 7500 cuz you cant overclock it anyway but I would honestly spend the 20 or so bucks extra for at least a 7600K or try to catch one of those amazing 6700K deals going around.

    • @samichowdhury8634
      @samichowdhury8634 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Thomas Damiani It's not too bad but I have no trust in stock coolers. I'd highly recommend just opting for a Hyper 212 evo or beQuiet Pure Rock/Pure Rock Slim.

    Great guide since I'm building a Z270F this weekend. I would suggest that instead of putting everything in the build, boot with the very basic components. I do this because I want to make sure if I have any DOA components, I'll have a smaller set of components to blame. So I would have used one memory stick, and one HDD (the boot drive). I might even start with onboard video. My goal would be to get into the BIOS and have a look around. Don't overclock at this time either. The next goal would be to flash the BIOS to the latest one, if needed and then install Windows. Once I have everything working, I then install the remaining components.
    Oh, I like the case! I'll have to take a closer look at it later.

    Clear instructions. Thanks for sharing! I'd like to know the reason of removing the CPU plastic cover last. ASUS emphasizes quite much, but I can't see the difference of the order. Can you explain it?

    • @jackfolloway3354
      @jackfolloway3354 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The idea is to keep it on until the CPU is installed/secured to help prevent the CPU contact pins beneath it from getting accidentally bent or damaged.

    I want to commend you for using a wrist strap. That seems to be a lost art today. That case looks like a great one.
    Did ASUS quite provide an adapter that allowed the user to connect all the cables for Power, etc? I really nice to have a single connector to make the install easier.
    The system will cost a bit more with haveing to buy windows ten, yes?
    Thanks

      If you are referring to the ASUS Q-Connector for the Power/Power LED/HDD LED/Reset connections, then unfortunately no -- this board didn't include one. Definitely a handy connector when they do.

    What is the purpose of an aftermarket cooler for a processor that won't be overclocked? Is it just for aesthetics? Seems a bit steep paying $35 for something that just looks good but won't give any additional performance
